Why us?: I've tried several different RP servers, none of them have been right. I found this on Google and I'm a massive fan of the Elder Scrolls series so this seemed like a pretty good option.

Have you voted for us at Planet Minecraft?: No, I didn't realise you were on there.

Define Role-Playing in your words: It's acting, except your improvising the script. You're playing a character different to yourself, in this case from a different universe, and you interact with others as this character and respect theirs. And in return, they'll interact with your character as theirs and respect your character the way you have theirs.

Define Meta-gaming in your words: Meta-Gaming is using your knowledge, not your character's (e.g.: You may be able to see the soldiers around the corner of the building, but your character can't, so you can't attack them because you don't know they're there).

Define Power-gaming in your words: Power-Gaming is taking over the RP scenario you're in. If you make an action towards someone else you need to leave it open-ended in order for them to respond (e.g.: PG: *Bob kisses Julie. RP: *Bob leans in for a kiss with Julie. Now Julie can either kiss Bob back or lean away). In short, Power-Gaming is controlling other characters actions without letting them decide what their character would do in that situation.

IC
Name: Gaius Junius

Nickname: Gai (pronounced 'guy')

Age: 47

Gender: Male

Race: Imperial

Appearance: About 6' 5". Lean, yet quite well-built. Dark, greying, neck-length hair. Dark, greying beard. Hazel eyes. Rough, slightly scarred skin. Large bite-scar on left forearm. Small claw-marks over both forearms. Often wears grey and black leather and cloth, with small armoured gauntlets over forearms.

Personality: Peaceful, but often prone to violent outburst every 3-4 months. Erratic. Unpredictable. Brooding. Often seems very grumpy, and his deep voice often makes him seem more so. Likes an occasional drink, only drinks properly on his birthday. He's also very sarcastic, which often gets him into fights with people that don't understand it.

In-game RP Fight example:
*Gaius accidentally bumps into Bob and knocks his drink over*
Bob: What did you that for?
Gaius: Sorry, it was an accident.
Bob: So was this.
*Bob hits Gaius in the nose*
*Gaius stumbles back a bit and holds his now bloody nose*
Gaius: Do you really want to do this?
Bob: Yeah, I do.
*Gaius hits Bob in the jaw and then kicks his knee*
*Bob falls to the floor*
*Gaius kicks Bob in the head, knocking him out*

Background: (Detailed and in-depth, 2 paragraphs. Also, explain how you came to be in Akavir.) Born and raised in the Imperial City, Cirandion always had faith in the legion and had planned to sign up and join the war against the Thalmor, much to the approval of his father; a captain in the legion. His mother, on the other hand, despised the thought of both ..... and his father being sent off to war. Despite his mother's begs not to go, he left to join at 20. He trained for 3 years, flying through every challenge put in his way, learning to fight with swords, bows ,knives and his fists, as well as learning some basic survival skills. But after being sent out, and seeing the devastation the war was causing, he turned his back on the legion and deserted his allies during the middle of a battle, aged just 23. His father ordered a nationwide hunt for him, desperate that he wasn't dead. He was, of course, not found and he was presumed dead.

He spent the next 18 years travelling, after being presumed killed in the battle. He bought his way from place to place, with the little money he had taken with him. he soon ditched the Imperial amour for some leather armour. He found himself in Elsweyr, and but soon left after working for some Khajiit merchants and stealing some money from their safe. He travelled North, back into Cyrodiil. He never ventured near the Imperial City, for fear of being recognised (although he soon realised this was unlikely as he hadn't been seen in over 15 years). He evntually taught himself to hunt, albeit very badly, through trial-and-error of different methods. But whilst moving further North, near to the border of Skyrim, he was attacked by a pair of Wolves. He managed to fight them off, but not without some bad scarring on his forearm. After this he truly started to doubt the safety of Tamriel, never having experienced something like that from wild animals. It was some time soon after he had healed from his wounds that he overheard two men in the street talking of a far off new land, free of the war and misery of Tamriel. He soon discovered it was called Akavir, and decided to leave the now war-stricken Tamriel for this new land. He bribed a dockworker to let him onto a ship bound for Akavir, he disguised himself as one of the sailors and left the land, and his past, behind him.

Open-Response-Questions
Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point.
____

1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperors palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do?

Answer: Follow him to see if he's trying to steal or kill something or someone. If so, I'd draw my bow, shoot him in the leg, pick him up and hand him over to the guards.

2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react?

Answer: Sneak behind one of the bandits, stab his leg, dart back out of the way of any attacks form the other bandit then wait for him to come at me. Dodge any attacks if I could and try to knock him down. If I got him down then I'd hit his head with the hilt and knock him out. If not then I'd lead him away from the cottage until a point where I could lose him in the forest. I'd then head back to the cottage to check on the old man and knock out the other bandit with my hilt.

3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens).

Answer: I'd ask for 20 cooked pork or steak for 15 mina, in order to restock my supplies of food, some water bottles for 5-10 mina, a bed to carry in order to sleep when in the wilderness hunting for 20 mina. I'd ask for a stack of arrows so that I could hunt in the wilderness for 15 mina. If he refused any of the prices then I'd raise the price by 1 mina and repeat this until I got to 5 mina above my original price. At this point I'd state it as my final price and if he refused then I'd take my business elsewhere.
