She's not making it up. I'll post images of it when I can. There is just this random stronghold room with an ocean surounding it, right at the surface. I don't get why the water doesn't flood it tho ... weird.

As well, there is a very small cave with lava in it underneat the stronghold. For whatever reason, the lava light level isn't showing. It's probably a pretty big bug.
Yes, but it will delay the death period. You almost instantly die if you walk into lava without any armor. Bringing some delays your period of death - with diamond armor almost letting you swim in it.
found it, its pretty epic, 1 chest and the zombie spawner is fully covered in gravel...pretty damn cool :biggrin.gif:
2 chests ... the stupid gravel is covering it up! I've found double dungeons before, in fact - I've found a triple one, but never this close to the surface. I'll also look for some diamonds or cave systems underneath it ... I'll keep everyone posted if I find anything more.
After looking for seeds for ages I discovered this great seed that contains two dungeons spawned right next to each other! And it gets even better. They are located just under the surface! And it's still better than better! There is a golden record in one of the chests! They are pretty close to spawn, and can be accessed by a surface cave.

DIAMONDS: 4 *You have to dig thru stone, not in cave*

There is also a pretty good stack of coal should you need it (for your first night) at

I was just finshing up mining some 40+ diamonds, with a completley full inventory filled with good items, melon seeds, and food. When suddenly, I failed to notice the big gaping lava pool right in front of my eyes. With my iron armor almost dead, I just barley made it out of the lava before dying, and when I came back - almost none of my things were there, which meant that almost all of them, had fell into the lava. I looked and there, thankfully - were my 40ish diamonds strewn neatly across the obsidian. I cried.
I've started new worlds, played for 2 or so hours. Found diamonds, and fell in lava before - but I was scared. I was planning to go to the end with those diamonds, so the thought of loosing it all in a quick-snap, was horrifying.
The Moral: Always bring Iron or Diamond Armor with you when you go mining. It will save your life.
