I love your models! was wondering how difficult it would be to make a mod allowing us to change Steve's character model replacing with some of the brilliant grimore mobs. much more aesthetically pleasing im sure many could agree! succubus, drayad, mermaid, werecat, etc, etc, etc all good examples. anyways awesome mod, and mobs all the same!
Utility Mobs is one of my absolute favorites! It feels like an addition to minecraft rather than a cheat. That being said, I'd like to suggest a new feature
In the config, would it be possible to specify what mobs the turrets attack? For example. say I wanted it to attack the Pirates from KoadPirates. I could enter something like this:

Its actually already in there you need to make a targeting book, its there just not been set to show up in the creative tabs, combine a zombie flesh with a book, you can then click it on the mobs you want it to consider friend/foe and the book will show you the list. once its set it will work for all turrets etc. hope that helps:)

(short) Minecraft Companion mod! basiclly Merging the Bound Spirt with Chest Golem, and adding the sit and wait from vanila wolf.
(longer) To make a long term Companion able to defend/fight and carry items for you, 1) wear, use, and carry items you give it, (already done by you) 2) as well as be programed what is friend and foe. (already done by you) 3) with added functionality like a personal name, sex, even dialouge maybe. 4) stay here/follow toggle (Vanilla wolf) 5) passive/agressive toggle 6) ComeWithMe/GoHome toggle, and ability to set a home marker with X, Y, Z where it will tele and wait if told (possibly?) 7) Guard possition, toldto guard and will stay on X, Y, Z unless engaging a enemy, then returns to possition (possibly?) 8) customisable sound? and more sounds ea: for being hurt, drowning or entering/leaving combat (as seen in outdated Charlotte mod) 9) on death it is disabled or made unconcious and will recover after 30 seconds say.
A ) functionality to drop item to companion to equipt just like bound spirit, or even wears items from inventory B ) click on to open inventory like chest mob. C ) Shift click to Stay/Come (or sit/stand) like wolf D ) book like targeting book, to control passive/aggressive, home/follow, name/sex
if you have any experience with fallout 3, or skyrim just think of the Companions/followers
from there. i honestly believe it would be a wildly popular standalone mod and you have already achieved
most of the needed backbone functions on utility mobs
later on possible additional stuff like healing the player VERY slowly? even other meshes for further customisation? (even if offered as later patches)
to stick with your style it adds no items, only 1 mob with stats based off bound soul.

1) Above all else Good path finding nothing worse than spending your game play "unstucking a npc"
2) able to use all vanilla weapons/armor, also maybe food
3) an inventory can help carry your stuff as well as its gear (armor, weapons, arrows, food)
4) some kind of controls like home setting, wait/guard here, and passive/agressive stances
5) ability to customise ea: name, skins, possibly dialouge, sounds, possibly meshes (even if pre made options)
things like using a bow if it has it, and switching to a sword if a mob gets close would be nice
and more sounds than just dieing, being hurt, and fighting back
so when it targets a enemy, it says something, if its hurt it says something, if its left combat is says so
if it see's danger it warns you
later on if it is possible optional abilities like slow healing to player, making a fire, fishing
things of that nature
possible way to get started a cut down pet wolf with steve meshes and more, custom sounds

Hey there would anyone be able to explain how to make a block that gives an aura effect a bit like how the Beacon block does?
what im after is really just a trimmed away Beacon block, with for example regeneration given to close by entities renewed every so often just like the beacon block. i have looked at the beacon block, and beacon entity code, but im still new to java.
Hey guys so ever downloaded a mod and LOVED it! right up until some particular thing that seemed way to silly or over powered? like Stupendously powerful tools that are way to easy to get for instance
what i was wondering/thinking was would it be possible to build a mod that can block features?
for example it opens up a GUI with all the items, blocks, biomes, entities etc listed, and you can turn them off, or with ores, plants or biomes have the world generator ignore them.
Example: didn't want that "ruby" ore and item set? select them to be blocked, and next map gen ruby ore will not spawn, and tools/armor don't appear in creative tabs
cant wait for the skele to be released:D lol gotta love that moment u think you hear a mutant creeper, "naa cant be" ignore it, going back to rummaging through your chests as it comes blasting through the roof XD shear panic! very cool mod:P
Mojang needs to be hiring you to design them a better ender dragon! hell just replacing the ender dragon with your mutant enderman would be better than what they got atm so bravo

Hi guys:) working on my first mod, and i've come to a problem, i need to be able to fill a vanilla bowl with water for 3 of my recipes. is there some sort of "IbucketHandler" or something that could be used to make the vanilla bowl spawn a new custom item in its place when clicked on a water source (like with a bottle or bucket) so im given the custom item i will make "bowl of water" ?
is what im wanting to do even possible without editing base classes?
