    Well, I'm using the word 'crash' loosely as it has varying (and unpredictable) effects like infinite loading screen, game freeze, or simply removing the left limbs of every mob. Though, I can't really get it to CTD.

    So I've been using the 1.6.4 version D1 for Direwolf20's modpack for a little while now and it's working great, but sometimes i get a few slowdowns. Now, I remember being able to turn on Optifine's multi-core functionality just fine and getting the game to run even smoother, but now multi-core just crashes the game. I saw on the OP that threaded optimization / opengl threading needs to be turned off, but that only works for NVidia and I have ATI. So I'm not sure how that translates over and how I can get multi-core working again. I've gone through the Catalyst's options and I didn't see anything like that. I'm using the latest, non-beta catalyst driver v 13.2

    Any help or tips would be appreciated.

    From Minecraft version 1.6.4 and later, you're just suppose to place Optifine in Forge's mod folder.

    Thanks for the help, but instead of crashing the game on startup(I got it working using that optifine fml thing), it now freezes the game on world load. I'll change a few settings pre-world load and see if it works then. If not, I'll apply the FML to D1 and see if that works.

    EDIT: Well I had to change the Chunk loading from Multi-Core to smooth and now it works pretty well. Thanks a bunch. ;)

    I get the same problem. I'm trying to use optifine with FTB but apparently Tinker's Construct and Biomes O' Plenty aren't compatible any more. So I replace BoP with Highlands, but mobs are still missing body parts and I really don't want to go on without TC or Optifine. So there's that. I'm not exactly sure how true or not the rumors are, but apparently Forge decided to rewrite some rendering code and now it clashes with optifine. Which means hell for their mutual users. To be honest, I don't care who started this fight over the virtual pickle jar, but the two mods are pretty paramount for a well-modded and playable game and really need to come to an agreement over what code to use.

    I must say, I love the Treecapitator mod - I'm using it in my own personal mod pack. I do have one request though: could you guys include the Highlands mod into the config file? If not any time soon, how could I go about adding it into the config?

    Okay, so I installed a mod that adds grappling hooks, rope arrows, etc. My question is how can I get your mod to recognize the arrows from that mod? They won't go in the quiver and when I try to shoot them with one of your bows, the bow swaps out to the vanilla one temporarily.

    EDIT: Oh, and I can't shoot any other arrow except for the one from that mod when i have it in my inventory.

    The only thing left is to click on your instance, log in, and play the map! All those steps will install the mods for you, so nothing besides that needs to be done. If you have any further problems, don't be afraid to ask for more help.

    I've used MultiMC quite extensively in the past, but when I followed your instructions and started playing, the block breaker and most of Red Power 2 has no textures. They're either pink, grey or invisible.

    Yea, I use MultiMC too and it's rather easy to install Millenaire if you know what you're doing.

    1) Go to your Millenaire download zip and open/extract it anywhere (I use JZip so I can open them without extracting)
    2) Open Millenaire/Put in mods Folder/
    3) With MultiMC open, right click the minecraft instance and press edit mods
    4) Drag and drop each folder from the "Put in mods Folder" folder to the "Mods Folder" tab window.

    You're now done. One note though, you'll need the forge mod installed too.

    Don't join this server... the admin gives people the location and tools to grief the ­sh*t out of your builds and everyone online comes by to f*ck­ it up.

    Example: Apollo (an admin) flies around giving everyone an invisibility potion who then proceed to grief my building invisibly. The moderator Max then encrusts my building in nether after looting while invisible. The prices for towny are so astronomically high that I can't afford protection in order to prevent such a thing to begin with. This server is biased toward its own staff and donators that anyone that just wants to join for the thrill of a PvP minecraft server will be overwhelmed by the staff acting like pubescent teenagers.
