posted a message on Different landing damage for other blocks

I've tested it out, and jumping from a height of 7 blocks takes away 1.5 hearts from you no matter what the block you're landing on is (excluding water, lava, etc...) In real life, jumping onto stone from a height should hurt reasonably more than jumping on to wool; of course, in Minecraft, the wool is in block form, so in real life, it would hurt as much as jumping onto a mattress. Also, the player should be able to pass through a lilypad when falling through it (such as passing through a block in spectator mode, or passing through a cobweb but way faster), because in real life that's what would happen- you'd just slide off it and find yourself in water.

Jumping onto stone from a 15 block height takes away 50% of a player's health but jumping onto wool should inflict damage of 30%. Here are my suggestions (15 block height).

    • Dirt: 60%
    • Stone: 75%
    • Wool: 30%
    • Slime Block: 10% (I know it takes the fun out of the slime block, but in reality, it's like jumping from 30,000 feet high onto a mattress without getting hurt. There should be a setting to keep the slime block damage off and on.)
    • Wood: 70%
    • Sponge: 10%
    • Sand: 40% (Smoother than dirt)
    • Coal Block: 80%
    • Concrete: 75%
    • Water: 20% (In real life it hurts to jump in water from a high distance but I don't think this should be affiliated with landing damage)

    Please leave suggestions.

posted a message on Minecarts Can Tow Buildings

In the upcoming updates, there should be a new cord item that you can attach to a minecart and a building. A tripwire hook or something looking like that can be placed on the chosen building, in which the cord can be tied to. When the minecart goes, the building goes with it like a tow truck. Obviously if the minecart stops somewhere between two blocks, the program would round to the nearest block and snap it there. Of course, there would be parameters for options, such as, include entities, only connected blocks, choose dimensions, etc...
