So I was playing with commands the other day and realized that you could change the lore of an item. That got me thinking that the anvil should have a place to edit the lore of an item.
This spot would be located under the main typing space of the anvil. You would be able to add lore to any item, or edit an items' existing lore. Example: If you had a potion of harming, you could change the part that says what the potion does to something different, like Death Potion.
This feature could be useful for map makers, as they could create lore on items without using the command blocks. It could also be useful just for survival players who want to spice up their belongings a little.
Thank you for reading my suggestion! Let me know what you think in the comments! 🐛

I need a seed with a decently sized flat area to build a castle I have been planning. Preferably plains, but other biomes would work as well. Minor height variations are OK, and I can cover over / fill caves and ravines easily enough.
A seed with two flat areas, one somewhat higher than the other, would also work (the higher one would be the castle, the lower one would be the village).
Forests intersecting the flat area are fine as well (those are easily removed).

Why do you want to edit those files?
I personally use NBT Explorer to edit Minecraft Worlds, as it supports a whole lot of useful features. The program is written in C#, but it works on most platforms.
It also has a (somewhat limited) command line utility for automation of editing NBT data.

The erroring mod is Compact Display HUD, as that is only for 1.7.2, and is incompatible with 1.7.10.
Remove it and you should be able to launch.

There are mods to do this (usually with a nametag like thing), but having this in Vanilla would be very useful. So, support!

I like this idea. Full support!

What are the coordinates of the weird lake thing?

Unfortunately there are not any items like that.
Just out of question, why do you hate hoppers so much?

You are likely being bitten by the maxEntityCramming gamerule, which is a number (default 24). When there are more that that number of entities in a one block space, they start suffocating. Setting it to zero disables it.
It was introduced in 1.11.

MAJOR UPDATE: 1/3/2017
I am working on a massive modded bunker in a superflat world (ground level is at Y = 151).
There is a structure above ground (with three floors of it underground), and an elevator to the main bunker area, which sits right on top of the bedrock.
The bunker is nowhere near complete, and I have a lot of plans for it.
Screenshots
In the screenshots, the wireframe-esque structure on top of the building is the scaffolding for the command tower and the tall shaft jutting out to the left is the elevator to the main bunker area.
Most rooms are 17 x 17 x 6 outer dimensions (15 x 15 x 4 inner dimensions), although hallways and elevator shafts are smaller (or larger, in the case of elevator shaft height)
There will be several different sectors to the bunker:
The main building will have some machines and offices, but most activities will take place in the main bunker.
I am also planning various rooms and structures out:

Lots of other biomes around there as well.
