My name is not in the list of players in the credits because it was originally my build. I saw no reason to put my name in the credits because of this.

Also, I am able to log in, but all of my permissions have been removed. I am not allowed to talk or to even use /spawn.
    Solved.

Thank you for following up on this.

I'd like to file for a ban appeal. I believe that I have been unjustifiably banned for twenty-four hours for "claiming credit for another person's build."

The build in question is a 1-to-1 scale model of the French battleship Richelieu, and was in fact built by me. Moreover, I was not given the chance to defend myself at all before being banned.

The following players have seen my build in the past and can vouch for me (if they are still around):

    • FocusSjonni
    • grant56810
    • captainlego
    • milopaana
    • Fumbler (I don't remember the full IGN)
    • Otisdiver
    • ... Amongst several others.
    Thank you for your time,

    Bricksurf.

Well, say a mod went on a banning spree, and banned everyone on the server. The owner could still get to the console and ban the mod that was banning everybody, and unban everyone the mod had banned. And that's kind of what applications are for-being able to trust a mod after reading why he/she wants mod. Personally, I would ban hackers, or whatever else the server owner wants me to ban for.

The thing I'm concerned about is the fact that we are here on the forums recruiting people that we don't know well or even not at all to fill in the positions of moderator. We simply do not know who will be a responsible staff member and who will not. Perhaps we can change these moderating permissions later on when we get to know each other better.

EDIT: Besides, why go to the trouble of waiting for the owner and unbanning possibly tens of people in such a scenario when we can prevent such a banning spree from happening in the first place?

    "Mods can't ban?"

    They can

Personally, I do not think mods should be able to ban. Temp-ban should be the most mods can do. After all, banning a person is reserved for serious offences only, and I am not sure if we can trust the majority of mods to be responsible with the ban-hammer.

    Ign: Bricksurf

    Name: Herman

Age (10+) (the reason i put this is cause a 8 year old applied a while ago :/): 15
What do you want to be: Admin or Mod, preferably Admin

Why should i pick you: I have been playing since Beta 1.2, and I've been told that I have great building skills. Other than that, I have 3 years of experience playing Minecraft and administrating servers.

How long can you be on every day: Hard to say. Usually 4 to 5 hours, maybe more.

Do you troll: (its ok if you do just get my ok first :)) Never. I troll trolls if necessary, though.

Why are you applying: Your server looks like it has a lot of potential, seeing as there's a lot of decent people applying before me. I want to make it better.

What could you give me to be server: Administrative and Moderating experience. Three whole years of it. Oh, and some nice building skills, too. I also know Chinese if you need help communicating with Chinese people.

Have you ever been banned: Never.

Extra Notes (just something to make me choose you or amke you stand out :)):
Here's some screenshots of a couple of my previous builds, including:
    - 1:1 model of the USS Colorado, not historically accurate but close. Out of the water. :P
    - 1:1 model of the USS Missouri, semi-complete.
    - A very early build of mine, a fortress that was home to tens of my fellow Minecrafters.

I don't have many other skills besides building, but I do have a habit of using perfect English while on the Internet if that counts for something... Good building skills and administrative experience are the perks if you choose to accept me. Thanks!

Please Put download link I've been looking for a battleship and your is the best so far
p.s. is this battleship design during WW2 or modern model?

Even though I'd said that this project wouldn't be forgotten, I'd forgotten it anyways... lol

First of all, thanks for checking my ship out. I'd figured that it didn't get a lot of attention cause it's a WIP.

Anyways, yeh. It's the WW2 version of the Missouri, and I'll be putting up a download link when the ship is complete. I will be working on it more now; your post reminded me to do so. :)

(Please take the time to read the following, I'd appreciate it if you do)

First of all, I'd like to apologize if I'd posted this in the wrong forum. I've noticed that a lot of [WIP] threads got moved to... somewhere, so I wasn't sure if I should post here or not. But I've posted anyways. ^-^

Some of you may have seen my other (completed) battleship, the USS Colorado (BB-45) in another thread somewhere lost in the massive, steaming pile of topics of the Creative Mode forum. As it is, I'm pleased to announce that I am working on another WWII-era warship, the Iowa-class battleship USS Missouri!

(Link to the USS Colorado: http://www.minecraft...bb-45-11-scale/)

Unlike the USS Colorado, I've decided to build the keel as it should be: under the water. Clearing out the water in the submerged section of the hull was a NIGHTMARE. In the end, I had to use the TechnicPack's Volcanite Amulet to evaporate away all the water dredged in the bottom of the ship.

I've finished the hull, and am working on the superstructure. Please do not be put off by the simple texturing and architecture; I will further refine the ship once I have completed the general exterior. Also bear in mind that this is a WORK IN PROGRESS. I have attached a couple of screenshots somewhere below.

This is quite the challenging build for me, as this is a 1:1 scale of the USS Missouri, assuming that 1 block is the equivalent of 1 cubic meter. It is 271 blocks in length and 33 blocks wide, with a draft of approximately 9 blocks down. While details may be inaccurate in some places, the inaccuracies are mainly due to the crude, blocky theme of Minecraft, as the bulky dimensions of blocks restrict me from using too-fine details. This I will attempt to fix later.

The ship should be complete in around one to two week's time.

    And one last thing: CAMOUFLAGE!
I'd been applying some splashes of color to the hull to see what it looks like as if it were camouflage, and I must say, it looks pretty cool (my biased opinion)!

Without further ado, I present to you the screenshots! Of which there are only three (for now).

[ Sorry about the failed rendering. My PC sucks. :( ]

These two shots are of the hull, with only the two forward turrets completed.

This shot is of the ship as it is now, with a half-complete superstructure.

I WILL BE UPLOADING PROGRESS PICS EVERY DAY. THIS PROJECT SHALL NOT BE FORGOTTEN!

Thanks for taking the time to view my ship. c:

And thanks to my awesome friends JokkoPie, Sandblisz and Skixico for taking the time to help me build this beast!

Great idea! But yeah, the owner is on vacation in L.A., so I can't get him to send me the schematic until he returns.

Thank you for the positive comments, everyone. I will try and answer your questions one by one.

I did mention that I had not yet lowered the ship into the water, which was why the keep is visible. I like to build the keel out of the water, then use WorldEdit to move the ship, makes building easier and all. Thanks for reminding me though!

    Zantosa53 -
Yeah, I didn't really think about progress pics. I'll try it with my next ship; just started work on the Japanese battleship Yamato. It's going to be on a 1:1 scale as well.

    Silod -
I mainly used line drawings and blueprints, but pictures helped me get an idea of the curves and stuff. As for more about its creation, well... it took about 14 or 15 hours of building time, maybe less... I'm not sure what else I can tell you. Of course, if there's something specific that you want to know about, feel free to ask!

    Vampiric_Penguin -
Yeah, the ability to drive that thing would be nice, but a mod wouldn't help me out here. Remember, I built it on a server. :)

    Darth_Swiss -
You could start out with something small like a cruiser or a destroyer. It's kinda easy once you get the hang of it. I've built two other battleships and several sailing ships before, on other servers. All were lost when the servers closed though. Pity.

And a big thank you to the rest of you, for taking the time to review my ship.

Unfortunately, the server was hacked about a week ago and my ship got griefed in the chaos. It was really fortunate that the owner managed to save a schematic of my ship that morning, before the griefs.

posted a message on Minecraft Battleship: USS Colorado (BB-45) | 1:1 scale
Hi all. I play on a server called CheersBros, and I built this Colorado-class battleship on it. The ship is mostly to scale, maybe with a few minor errors. The interior is incomplete, so I am only displaying the exterior. I got some help from some of my buddies, but the majority of the work was done by me.

I have not yet lowered the ship into the water (which I will do so soon with WorldEdit), which is the reason why the keel is visible. The ship features a main battery of dual 16" guns in four turrets, 10 single 5" guns, and 10 single 3" guns. I was unable to complete the aircraft catapult launcher thingy due to lack of space. The length of the ship is 191 blocks and the width is 31 blocks. The draft is approximately 14 blocks.

The real USS Colorado was 190 meters in length, 30 meters in width and had a draft of 12 meters.

Below are some screenshots. I would appreciate it if I could get some feedback on how to improve my ship. Thanks for any help given.

A view of my ship off the bow.

A view of the ship from directly in front of the bow.

A top-down view of the ship.

A detailed shot of the number two turret.

A view of the superstructure and the various smaller guns along the sides.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my ship. Remember, all feedback is welcome! ^_^
