hey bro i think your mod is not compatible with modloader or something like that and it isnt a id conflict because those are easy to spot and i couldnt have installled it wrong because i have installed over 100 mods and i tried instaling yours 5 times bro.

I'm addinng modloader compatibility(maybe even modloader needed) to my todo list for v0.2( or 0.3 or 0.4)

hey man i installed this and i get an herror look ill post it here

Okay, i'll be honest, even though I mod, I don't understand java well. I search tutorials, experiment, and use logic to solve the errors that I get when I'm modding. It might be a conflict with data values(I use 110-135), it might be inconpatible with modloader :sad.gif: , or you might have installed it wrong. Considering you have many mods already installed, I'd put my money on the clash of data values.

I don't know how to fix your problem, nor do I know how to make a config file.
If anyone knows how to do this, please comment.

I agree totally with Infiltraitor. Obsidian tools are frequently discussed, debated and modded but this is a refreshing twist and well thought out idea. thank you so much.

First, no. Thank you for downloading, shows support
and second, it wasn't acutually a thought out idea :biggrin.gif: , but as I said with Infiltrait0rN7, just an experiment

While obsidian tools is an overdone mod, this was done really well. Congratulations.

Thank you! This was just one of my experiments and was completed before I searched it up.

    By Brain_Cancer

Special thanks to The ZeeStreem for getting me started with modding, and Cowmonkey's Tankite mod and Cowmonkey for giving me a good tutorial and letting me decompile his mod.

UPDATE INFO IS USUALLY ON THE LAST PAGE

    Anyways, now to the mod.

Thanks to Kstars23 for the video, although he seems a bit confused...

Thanks to iTzCrazyGuy for this longer, yet more organized video.

This mod adds obsidian tools to the game, actually 5 sets of obsidian tools.
The first set is based off wood tools.
    Crafting:
    Small Obsidian Shards

    Large Obsidian Shard

    Obsidian Shard Tools

The tools have the speed of wooden ones, but the durability of iron.

The second set is based off stone tools
    Crafting:
    Obsidian Ingots

    Obsidian Tools

The tools have the speed of stone ones, but the durability of diamond.

The next set is based off iron tools
    Crafting:
    Obsidian Chunks

    Obsidian Chunk Tools

The tools have the speed of iron ones, and infinite durability.

The next set is based off diamond tools
    Crafting:
    Powered Obsidian

    Powered Obsidian Tools

The tools have the speed of diamond ones, and infinite durability.

Now, what are those red blocks?

They are needed to make powered obsidian tools, and good for storing redstone.

    Redstone Chunk

    Redstone Block

These expensive blocks cost 32 redstone dust, and to make 2 powered obsidian, you need 4 of these. They are very useful for storing redstone and drop 32 redstone dust when mined.

The next set is based off gold tools
    Crafting:
    Magic Obsidian

    Magic Obsidian Tools

    Energy Crystal

The tools have the speed of gold ones, and the durability of diamond.

If you installed 'Molten Obsidian', then you may have noticed that you cobblestone generators don't work, but now produce Molten Obsidian.

You may be wondering 'What can I do with it?'
    Crafting:

The Molten Obsidian can be cooled by either water or snow

An overview of all the tools and materials I talked about.

    Version history
0.85: Mini update with optional molten obsidian and no modified base classes
    0.8: Modloader and more features
0.1: Leveled Obsidian Picks released to the forums!

As he said, cange the Metric to Decimal, so DeciCraft may be a good name.

    Sure.

You may want to rename this mod. 'Metric' means using metres, kilometres, grams, etc, instead of yards, miles and ounces. The word you are looking for is 'decimal'. This means it follows the base ten system, rather than binary. That is, I think, what you've changed. So basically, change 'metric' to 'decimal'. :smile.gif:

    I'm sorry
I'm a noob, how do you change the title?

    EDIT: found out how
what should I change it to?

    DeciCraftv0.2

    My new mod!!

This is my first mod, so please don't say it sucks, because I know it does.
Decicraft basicly makes everything follow the decimal system; 1's stay 1's, 3's stay 3's, 4's become 5's, 8's become 10's, 16's become 25's, and the max stack is 100.

    Example
When you craft a diamond block, you still get 1 item(b/c 1 is metric and binary)

When you craft paper, you still get 3 items(b/c I could not find a fair amount)

When you craft planks from a log, you now get 5 instead of 4

When you craft cookies, you now get 10 instead of 8

When you craft minecart tracks, you now get 25 instead of 16

I also made some items more stackable and changed (in my opinion) some underpowered recipes.
    Signs: 5

    Detector and powered rails: 10

    Golden Apple: uses gold ingots

    Max Stacks

    etc.

    New Fuel
    Sticks burn 1 piece

    Wooden items burn 5

    Coal burns 10

    Lava Buckets burn 200.

    Sugar Cane burns 1

    Paper burns 1.5

    Books burn 5

    Cactus burns 1

    Saplings burn 1.
