working. im testing it more to see that its stable, but for the moment i can walk around and do stuff, i had it hang once for no reason. but otherwise its fine. if youve been getting hte tessalation error. I belive it has to do with the sun's rays coming into tree leaves and then out. Basically that there are to many rays to calculate and it wipes out. By turning the trees mod cfg to false for fancy, and turn optifine to false for fancy trees, this seams to have fixed it.
Im doing this becuase im putting to gehter a new mcpc bukkit server set in the future. It's using many mods and bukkit to combine into a new play expierence. Very exciting. Looking into a public donation server.
ModLoader isn't for servers. You need ModLoader MP by jamioflan.
Well then why does a mod like buildcraft or railcraft still list it?
Or did they change it in 1.1 so you no longer use modloader and just use modloader mp?
I haven't seen any info anywhere to indicate that?

Pretty sure modloader can't be installed on a server, it's client only as far as I know.
no no... it is for both and is required by mods like buildcraft and redpower... i find it highly odd it will not work locally or on my server... i don't understand as I assume there are people running it just fine... so confused :S

When I put modloader, into a fresh .jar for my server. It will not work, it won't even attempt to load. I do get a java error report. But nothing otherwise. I do not get the error report file when I try to run the server local on the computer.
Is this version of ML not working atm for servers?
You will be able to assign fairies a patrol station/house/job in one of the three major updates.
Wizard fairies? Maybe. There are only going to be three additional secret fairy classes, and I've already planned them out. But I can give one hint now: they're all going to be offensive classes.
Fairy faction infighting and wars between players will be added in a later update.
Fairy-related buildings? Not so fast! You're going to have to build them on your own :wink.gif: A Great Fairy Empire doesn't build itself!
Families, neh, babies, meh, trading, possibly. But trading will be really difficult to manage. Items can be placed in GUI, but entities can't.
And I may need audio in the future, but definitely not now. Unless you can pull of crying fairy voices.

Few things.
The " tp to colored tp'er closest in range" thing is a little awkward, i mean i can work with it. I was thinking, that moving in sequence is better, your mod does it a bit, i a had 4 in a row, and moved from 1-1-1-1 but you cant do the reverse, it appears to be in order of blocks, and i don't think i can do more than 4 in a row.
It would be better if it was in sequence, that means you could use one color say for "red building" but travel the different floors of the building. But if you want to go to blue building and travel its floors you'd have to use a sender or a blue node. but a sorta round robin spawning, gives you the chance to spawn at every' same color' once in a rotational sequence.
also, another way to approach this could be redstone. redstone signal to a block could make it push you to another block, but not the one you just came from. in theory, you could move sequentially. without redstone, the blocks act like they do now. you could also take advantage of a/c redstone, but i cant think of a use atm. its late here :tongue.gif:
On my server, i can spawn the white light block. It appears visually, and goes int omy inventory jsut fine.
However, when I place the block it instantly becomes a wooden transport pipe. None of the lights work. Other redpower things work fine so far.
IM basically running what technic pack would be for 1.0 also power converters/minefactory/railcraft.
I am using forge 1.2.4 - bc is not the newest i think its .10 newest is .11?

Also, the zeldos pipe mod (specifically the 1.0 version that was released, conflicts with something oh wait that's buildcraft problems... duh.... the chunk block loader anyways...... nevermind on that one :S
One final note, im notentirely clear, but the server provider i htink runs custom code into the .jar. This could be relevant to you.
Well well well.. ok, you need to check your buildcraft config files and change block id 254 to something else.
I have no idea what this means you did, but I suspect that prolonged tampering with things that have nothing to do with the problem isn't going to make it all better.
pipes produces a .cfg file located in the bc config folder, like other mods, you can edit the block id's and some other things in there. I just doesnt work to turn it off. I know it works if you change the id. i just don't know what ids are open.
I can tell you for me at least. the problem is that rp2/ic2/bc + pipes doesn't work. Its because the chuck loading block is conflicting. error block 254 in use. Funny enough its server side im having issue not client.. not sure why.

I have modloader working fine as always for single player.
But when I insert it into a fresh server file, it wont load.
I have posted in the authors thread to no avail.
It would appear I'm the only one having issue?
Did i miss something?

no no... it is for both and is required by mods like buildcraft and redpower... i find it highly odd it will not work locally or on my server... i don't understand as I assume there are people running it just fine... so confused :S

When I put modloader, into a fresh .jar for my server. It will not work, it won't even attempt to load. I do get a java error report. But nothing otherwise. I do not get the error report file when I try to run the server local on the computer.
Is this version of ML not working atm for servers?

Few things.
The " tp to colored tp'er closest in range" thing is a little awkward, i mean i can work with it. I was thinking, that moving in sequence is better, your mod does it a bit, i a had 4 in a row, and moved from 1-1-1-1 but you cant do the reverse, it appears to be in order of blocks, and i don't think i can do more than 4 in a row.
It would be better if it was in sequence, that means you could use one color say for "red building" but travel the different floors of the building. But if you want to go to blue building and travel its floors you'd have to use a sender or a blue node. but a sorta round robin spawning, gives you the chance to spawn at every' same color' once in a rotational sequence.
also, another way to approach this could be redstone. redstone signal to a block could make it push you to another block, but not the one you just came from. in theory, you could move sequentially. without redstone, the blocks act like they do now. you could also take advantage of a/c redstone, but i cant think of a use atm. its late here :tongue.gif:

Eloraam, I am having a strange issue.
On my server, i can spawn the white light block. It appears visually, and goes int omy inventory jsut fine.
However, when I place the block it instantly becomes a wooden transport pipe. None of the lights work. Other redpower things work fine so far.
IM basically running what technic pack would be for 1.0 also power converters/minefactory/railcraft.
I am using forge 1.2.4 - bc is not the newest i think its .10 newest is .11?
Any ideas :S
Also, the zeldos pipe mod (specifically the 1.0 version that was released, conflicts with something oh wait that's buildcraft problems... duh.... the chunk block loader anyways...... nevermind on that one :S
One final note, im notentirely clear, but the server provider i htink runs custom code into the .jar. This could be relevant to you.

pipes produces a .cfg file located in the bc config folder, like other mods, you can edit the block id's and some other things in there. I just doesnt work to turn it off. I know it works if you change the id. i just don't know what ids are open.

I can tell you for me at least. the problem is that rp2/ic2/bc + pipes doesn't work. Its because the chuck loading block is conflicting. error block 254 in use. Funny enough its server side im having issue not client.. not sure why.
