It's pretty hard to hear what you are saying after I adjusted the volume for the intro music. Also, you jerk the camera around way too much. I'm trying to read the signs, but before I can, the viewpoint jerks around like an excited squirrel.
But it's still a pretty thorough account of the changes in pre release 5.
Far Northern California, tip of the valley, just before the valley gives way to mountain, Mt. Shata, Lake Shasta, etc.
Summers a very hot and dry. Winters are typically rainy. It can get cold enough for frost, but nothing too serious. We see snow once every few years or so, and even then it doesn't stick around.
18 is the worst birthday. You get little to no upsides and every downside of an adult.
Hear hear. I don't smoke, so that wasn't any kind of a bonus for me. I didn't even use my newfound adult status to buy porn. (This was a time before porn was so easily accessible online. For me at least. Netscape was a popular browser at the time.)
I just got my power bill for this month. For my small, two bedroom apartment, it says I'm using 936 kwh for this last month. I blame my ancient central AC/electric heater. The damned thing rattles like you wouldn't believe, and appears to have been made in the late 1950s-1960s. Of course, my landlord won't do anything about it.
It ran quite a bit to keep my place cool this last month. Now that the temperature is dropping, I haven't been running it at all, which I'm sure will make the next bill nice, but now I have to worry about firing up my notoriously inefficient, possibly dangerous electric furnace.
I thought about getting a couple of electric space-heaters for the winter. During the day, I can keep them in the living room, and at night, I can move them to the bedrooms. The idea is to heat only the spaces we are actually using at the moment. I hear a lot of homes in Japan do it this way, as several Japanese buildings do not actually have central heat, or have a radiant floor heating system which doesn't heat up much more than the floor itself.
Anyone have an experience with this sort of thing? Would you recommend it? Not recommend it? Why?
Through the winter, I might even look into small window AC units.
For every forumer complaining, there are five or more happy Minecraft players just enjoying the added content. The difference between the complainers and the happy, satisfied players are that the happy ones are too busy playing Minecraft to post on the forums, thus making it seem like everyone is negative.
Its to hard for pvp servers if you run it takes your health bar down to 0 is like littealy a minute and if you have singleplayer command and you use fly and doubletap while flying it takes 2 seconds then your dead? WTF atleast make it 30 minutes running because pigs are to hard to find and chicken the food if you eat raw poisons you and you have no time to cook it because youd be dead by then so WTF.. Ive played minecraft for 3 years I loved SMP since it started and I get this bull ****? **** I might quit now I'm so pissed off.
Minecraft has not even existed for three years. "Cave Game" was merely a twinkle in Notch's eye just two years ago. And multiplayer in any incarnation had it's original test release in June of 2009. Survival Multiplayer only had it's original test release barely over one year ago in June of 2010, and this was the earliest time that a PVP server could have been created. SMP wasn't even available to the public until August of 2010.
So take your ******** elsewhere. We don't need it here. There's enough of it to go around already.
It's a common misconception that creepers "spawn" in the day above ground, when in fact it's more accurate to say that there are creepers left over during the day after they have spawned at night.
I still hear people in SMP say "WTF?! Creepers spawn during the day!?" Well not really but...
Endermen don't really scare me, because it's easy to just not look directly at them. I watched one milling about on my roof from a big bay window in my house one morning, then POOF, he teleported to a treetop. POOF, he teleported to another rooftop. POOF, he vanished into the wilderness.
They're more of a curiosity for me.
Now creepers. Those things are a menace. I don't care to watch them, I just want them dead. Preferably from a distance, where they can't do any damage.

It's cool to speculate and all that, but none of us know the real specifics of how it's actually going to work.
