Maybe changing the camera rotation instead of the head?
I believe it is against the rules to just say "full support" without any explanation as to why, it is considered spam...

As for the suggestion I am on the fence, I am not sure if I would like it...
would it light up a player forever or does it only work on mobs?
I believe you got the wrong idea.
The first thing I would like to state is that it works on both players and mobs.
Now for how it works let me use and example.
Say a player walks into the 7 block radius of the torch. The player will glow forever while they are in the 7 block radius. However, if the player leaves the 7 block radius, the player will stop glowing. (PS: These work the same for mobs)
It is like a normal torch. Thanks for the support btw!
This is an extremely small suggestion. Basically the title explains it all.
I would love to have a top down view in Minecraft. I think it could create a new genre of top down adventure maps. Maybe zelda like adventure maps or top down shooter maps like Hotline Miami. Currently, there is no way to make a player interactive (NO ARMOR STANDS) top down map.
If you use head rotation, then the player would always face the ground thus making any melee fighting impossible.
So yeah, this is all I have to suggest. Please leave some feedback and don't be afraid to leave any flaws or suggestions.
Thanks for reading.
Good idea! Added to the poll.
Hey guys! Thanks for all the support and i'm adding a poll for the crafting recipe of the torch. So you can vote more expensive or cheaper.
Thanks for all the support! I didn't expect to see this much. On the other hand, I have changed the radius to 7 blocks and made the crafting recipe a bit more expensive.
Thanks you all for the support! It is very much appreciated.
Hey thanks for the feedback!
I've put the things you have suggested in the thread.
Since we just got our first little taste of what 1.9 will be, It is very possible that this could be something that has already been planned. Nonetheless, here is the suggestion.
In the recent 1.9 snapshot, we got a lot of features. Dual wielding, end cities, new mobs and different types of arrows. The types of arrows were based around potion effects but one arrow was unique and it was named the Spectral Arrow. This arrow makes a mob 'glow' when it is hit with this arrow.
So I thought, hey, how about Spectral Torches.
Spectral Torches act like torches but are different in the sense that they make mobs 'glow' when mobs are within a 7 block radius of the torch. They take the same time to break as a torch. They also affect players. They stack up until 64.
Mockup of Spectral Torch Sprite:
Mockup of the spectral effect:
A spectral arrow that works forever but only works with mobs in a certain radius.
So yeah very short, simple suggestion. Please leave some feedback and don't be afraid to point out any flaws with the idea.
Thanks for reading!
Since 1.9 is dubbed 'The Combat Update', I think it would be fitting if scythes were added into minecraft.
Before you spam 'ERMAHGERD THER TOLS NAT WEEPONS!!1!", hear me out. They are going to be weapons, however they would have some applications to farming. So calm down and read my take on this suggestion.
Scythes would have the texture of a hoe. So instead of them having the same texture, I suggest we change the hoe to look more realistic.
*All credits to NitrogenSnow for the images.*
So the scythe would have all the basic tiers like any normal tool does (wood, stone, iron, gold, diamond).
The durability of the scythes and all of its other versions are as so:
The crafting recipe of the scythe is a bit different from the hoe. It is like so:
*Wooden planks can be substituted with cobblestone, iron, etc.*
The damage of the scythe is a bit less than a sword. For example, a wooden sword does 2.5 hearts of damage but a wooden scythe only does 2 hearts of damage. This applies to every other tier.
Gold: 2 Hearts
Stone: 2.5 Hearts
Iron: 3 Hearts
Diamond 3.5 Hearts
The scythe can get all the basic enchantments of a sword (sharpness, smite, fire aspect) but it also has 1 exclusive enchantment, beheading. Beheading can only be gotten from level 30 enchantments. Beheading would enable the ability of the scythe to drop the head of a mob or player for a low chance.
Beheading I: 2.5%
Beheading II: 4%
Beheading III: 5.5%
Other than being a weapon, this tool can also be used to get additional produce from your crops. If a fully grown crop, for example wheat, is harvested using any kind of scythe, it has a 25% chance to drop 2 wheat and a 5% chance to drop 3 wheat. This makes to scythe not just a weapon of destruction, but also a helpful tool for the peaceful farmer.
Here are some of the pros that are not mentioned in any of the upper categories. Here they are.
*Scythes can attack further than swords do (2 blocks further)
*Scythes can be used to get additional string from cobwebs
And here are some of the cons of the scythe that are not mentioned in any of the upper categories too:
*Scythes cost more than swords and do less damage.
*Scythes cannot harvest additional produce from potatoes and carrots
So that is all!
Thank you for leaving any feedback or criticism, it is must appreciated!
And please leave me some suggestions to improve this!
The house is pretty good, but it needs more color variation in the building block palette. Right now, it's all wood-brown. Usually, sandstone or brick looks nice with wood, but experiment a bit.
Also, the shape could be a little less blocky, and could have a bit more odds and ends lying around to make it look busier, but other than that it's a nice house.
The restaurant is very nice. Try adding some depth to the walls (inlay a couple things, add frames that jut out a bit, etc.) though, and make it somewhat larger with more space inside.
Thanks cooldude! I'll try experimenting a bit and see what looks best.
I've built a fast food shop with an asian twist. Think it looks nice?
