Welcome to the 'Games similar to Minecraft' pandemonium
Just because this has to be by far one of the most requested and wanted things with minecraft fans and random other people alike.

To sum up what I'm going to be doing in this thread, I'm going to be making a list of every game that shares similar gameplay features of minecraft I will also be giving a brief description of each game as I saw it, this list is in no particular order however i will make a point to recommend some of the ones I personally think are bettor!

So, with no further information need be distributed I believe I'll start the list!

Please note: There are dozens of Minecraft classic/creative clones out there and I won't be covering them as they are unoriginal and not fun, if you want to play minecraft classic, go play the original, these clones include but are not limited to: "Eden", "Fortresscraft", "Cubelands", "Manic digger" and "Underblox".
Thanks to a post by a user on the forum remembered to give "Crafted" its own little section explaining why it is not on here, to put it simply, it's stolen. They stole everything from minecraft, (Textures, Sounds, Intellectual property) so it's in my list of DNP

This has to be the most popular and famous of the 'Games similar to minecraft' and is well known for a reason, this game brings the 2d side-scrolling experience to a whole new level, with completely destructible environments as well as a great open world to explore. While you're playing this is what you do the entire time ;

step 1. cut trees for building
step 2. mine for resources
step 3. explore caves/islands/dungeons for treasure
step 4. try to get Npc's to join you
Step 5. Repeat

This game is extremely similar to minecraft and it gets an explosive 5 creepers out of 5

Ace of spades is considerably less known than terraria but i would say it's a close second when it comes to popularity, this game is exactly what you would get if you combined the Call of Duty franchise with Minecraft. Essentially what you do in this game is join a team usually those teams are green and blue, then you construct a base using various colors of blocks, and fight the enemy team and this all happens in real time you also have to be careful when building such things as a sniping tower because physics take effect in this game, your tower looses its legs it will fall over!

Well, there's nothing bettor then using your disembodied brain to control minions to mine, build and fight for you. In this game you play as your brain inside of a container of sorts, and you build a base to protect it, the basic idea of the gamed is to protect your brain, while destroying the enemies, Long live the Ki- Cortex!

Well, this game is more or less minecraft with lower requirements and slightly less eye-candy, perfect alternative for somone with no or very low money they are able to spend on games such as this. Nothing i can really complain about, but nothing special either.

In this oddly named game your main goal is to become as advanced as you possibly can by mining to get ores and gold and chop trees and mill them for sawdust and much more and you have to do this while building a town, however you may choose to do so! Essentially this game is terraria meets Age of empires and it's a great combo

Now i know some of you are going to be skeptical the second you see this, but believe it or not the way i see it, the two games have a lot in common, hear me out before you disagree. Some of the most popular mods are those such as Bettor then wolves mod, and Industrial craft, and all those do are add more ways and things to build, and this game is all about building... everything!

Thats right, this is where it all began, this is the game that inspired minecraft to be what it has become today, dig for ore, and build traps to keep the other teams miners away from the ore, simple yet incredibly fun.
