You should get you 4 blue Glass as it's made from a rare ore (Lapis Lazuli)
And 8 for cocoa beans, since it;s found in a rare dungeon with a maximum of 2.
That's what I used to do before I started using the Forge API, I think the single textures.png is much better.
I saw your tradecraft mod, very interesting. Its a cool idea, I had never thought about that. And glasscraft is pretty cool too. Well I don't really need help at the moment but thank you. Maybe you could help after 1.1.7 is released.
Good idea. I had thought about that but I didn't think it really went with the whole "Building Blocks" concept, but I'll add that next version
To do list:
1. Finish reducing IDs of existing blocks
2. Add Slabs
3. Add stairs
4. Add rope bridge thing
5. RELEASE 1.1.7!
6. Begin working on continuation project for the "Somethings for Beauty" mod.
I can help with meta-data and coding in general. But how do you do your texturesss? Are you not using modLoader?
It's not up to a mod's author to worry about what other mod's do in combination.
There are so many mods out there that people will always find exploits.
Especially with resource altering mods such as EE and MiceWorkers.
I stopped using those two mods because I couldn't resist being too clever for my own good.
Tweaking code to stop people from manipulating mods against each other will be like playing wack-a-mole.
After saying all that, I worry about talk of moving this mod's feature to a NPC merchant.
Wouldn't that mean modifying the testificate class, which would make this incompatible with other villager mods such as MinecraftComesAlive mod? Forcing us to choose between this mod that does one thing and MCA that gives a rich villager experience.
Aaaah. I like your thinking. But, I have a genius Idea which will change the way modding will work forever!
Basically... Well. Its hard to explain. But if you want to be able to change your block id's you can define the int. For example, If I have block1 which takes up id 333 but want people to be able to change that I would make it have id *Block1ID*. Then you open up the properties file and change Block1ID to 333 or 334 or whatever. So what if your whole class file was just VillagerID. And then in the properties file, all the code will be there. And you can just delete all the code and stuff. Hard to explain but I WILL make it work!
In General i like the idea of having an alternate way of getting exp, but I think this mod could be better, think of what for is the exp going to be used, enchanting of curse. I use Sensible Enchanting mod and with this mod it could be overpowered because I also use Equivalent Exchange, so It's easy to get gold ingots...
I really think it can be better... keep it up
Yeah m original idea was to add coins which drop when u mine and use the coins to buy stuff so that it isn't overpowered but I couldn't get that too work. I'll probably add a poll to see how much XP you should get from 1 gold.
I don't like that it's called Shop Mod. Would you really make a shop for yourself? Would it have unlimited XP and Hearts? I think it would be more effective to just steal from the "shop" than to give up all your gold. Perhaps you're transmuting gold or disintegrating it to obtain its elements, e.g. XP and Hearts. That would make more sense (sort of). So maybe base the name sort of like that? Essence Extractor? I don't know, I'm good with naming things.
You don't have to rename it, of course. I think it would just make more sense to.
Yeah nice idea! I was going to rename it I will add a poll with your ideas also!

Uh. I've only been coding for a month now but I am quite proficient not to brag. If you look at my content you can see my mods...
By textures, I see you are using a single PNG to define textures. Why dont you use multiple 16x16 PNGs instead?
WIth this code.
And you save the png at /Location.png ...
I think this is easier..

I like the 1 dust = 1 point idea. I will implement that soon
Maybe! Seems cheap since my main world has like 200 gold haha
Sure! Go ahead I will add it to the forum!

I have added a poll to change the name Please vote!
A new version will NOT be out soon due to a glitch I have found and do not know how to fix yet! I will try my best though
