no they can't, the maintenance on such a thing would be massive and they can't spare the developers to do so.
Correct, we used to do such a thing with 1.6.4, 1.7, and 1.7.10. Though back then it was not much of a hassle, we would never consider multiple version releases in the future.
I feel that I must say this to everyone here, I am going to be very sad with the new models and texture, as I thought that our retro dinosaurs and animals were what set us apart from other dinosaur mods, and gave us a form of cartoony happiness that other dino mods lack. These new models are so precise and detailed that it takes all the fun out of it
Us shifting towards more realistic models and textures is what I think makes us even more unique than before. The old textures had a noticeable lack of detail and really didn't mesh well with some of the newer textures being produced in recent updates. We decided that it was time to set a real, universal style that made us happier in the end, and I'm sure all of you will grow to love them more because they are simply better than the old ones.
Development on this mod has been dead for almost a year dude. Just sayin'.
So releasing an update last June, which is not even seven months ago, counts as almost a year? Please, this mod is being worked on regardless of what you say.
I know they're actual animals. It's just that otherkin always oversize them to be the size of a darned horse, and paleonoobs say they were the reason the phorusrhacids went extinct.
And sure, they do have a model already, but it might not be implemented anytime soon. At least I hope it doesn't.
I think they're pretty cool. They're wolves, but dire. Personally, I like them, but I think there is too much hype surrounding it.
I just went through all the dinosaurs since a few updates ago, many of which I hadn't seen yet. Man, the babies are soooo cute!
Also, quick question... I've heard rumours that the Time Machine + accompanying dimension into the the past are expected in the next update... Is this true? =)

It was a collaborative effort by us both. If you enjoy the tired sarcasm in the kelenken, gastornis, and mammoth dinopedias, then I'm your man.

Dimetrodon and spinosaurus are not related, and the only similarity is the sail on its back. Because of this, we are not likely to change it.

Wow! We at the F/A dev team thank you!

The old plesiosaur is based on futabasaurus, but we intend to turn it into something else. I'm sure most of you could easily figure what it will be.

Not to sound rude, but this mod is still alive. We're still working, albeit at a slow pace.

So, yeah, we're not bringing that model back.

We still have an update or two for 1.7.

They're just that, rumors.
