Now just you wait a dang minute. I haven't gotten my 20,000 posts, moderator status, and made Critic turn all 20,000 posts like we agreed on many years back yet!
This also just put a huge damper in my motivation. I've been working on revamping my map series from the ground up as well as making a Beta 1.8 for nostalgia players, and planned on posting both here when they're done. Now I really don't want to work on them anymore since I don't use any other sites.

Anyhow, I'm really digging the update. I've updated my four adventure maps with an unnecessarily large amount of named stuff and now have a full suit of diamond armour in my Superflat survival. -

It should be fine and I doubt any more will be added, but then again, we got basalt deltas out of the blue and altered biome spawn rates, so who knows? It's your call.

You forgot about them spawning naturally, chicken jockeys spawning, as well as using a chicken spawn egg on a monster spawner.
It's for sake of ease and consistency with the other original mobs.

Literally anything. If someone wants to find you, they will regardless. Anything with storage can be detected easily, and I don't doubt that extends to any other block, so it doesn't matter what you hide or where.

I hate all of them equally without connected textures, then I'm indifferent towards all of them equally.

You can't add your own cape in Java without mods. The capes in the game are mostly for Minecon attendees with a spare few exceptions.

Items that give additional health or damage are a start. If you're feeling fancy, make a system that detects when a specific item is being worn and give that player a potion effect.
