Clerk, a suggestion for tonight's Mob Arena event(if the event, if any, is a Mob Arena):
If someone says Archer, give them Warrior. If someone says Warrior, give them Archer. This way it'll switch up positions for people, as i know several, or have witnessed several people, who just stay in the back firing arrows every once and again. This'll give those SLACKERS(me :biggrin.gif:) a reason to get up close and melee the mobs, like everyone else does, and gives the warriors a chance to sit back a little bit. Until the later rounds, of course.
OR
Just have a Mob Arena with ALL Archers or ALL Warriors. :biggrin.gif: (I'd prefer all Archers, just saying.)
Highvaulter12 is working on new graphics for the thread, and upon its completion an event schedule will be one of the many new things instituted to organize the ways of Nagurian life better. This December.
I stick to my most original, denied, and ignored assertion that you could make them better by planning them. Give the players something to look forward to, and give those who have jobs/school/lives a way to work your events into their day.
Events are a major part of keeping a server unique and magnetic; you do not utilize them well enough. They are always spur of the moment. Maybe make them at a set on the hour time, maybe every other day, weekends, weekdays, whatever you can manage.
I for one, would appreciate it.
I definitely would like a "planning" implemented, if possible. I love attending events, and would be able to attend a lot of them, if i knew they were going on. Most of the time i'm not on, it's around a 60% chance i'm just doing something else, like TV or Xbox or TF2, etc. During those times, if i knew an event was occurring, i'd log on. But without a schedule or anything really, i'm missing a part of the server i like a lot, and i'm sure other people are too.
Another thing with having events "spur of the moment" are that i personally, don't have an actual "base". I have two mines across the map, each approximately 2000-3000 blocks from spawn(2000-3000 being the hypotenuse of the triangle formed by the X and Z coordinates.) It's a pain in the (position below my back) to have to travel that distance AS an event is starting. I do realize, i can relieve that hassle once i donate(which should be coming in a few days. Damn pre-paid visa card having to be loaded by amounts of $20.(I have reg. Visa debit card, but hate spending that. :/...)) and so that'll help the situation for me. I would assume others are in the same predicament and it might help to have at least some planning or head's up for an event so we're not joining in late because we had to run through groups of zombies and creepers and what not to get to the base just to drop off our stuff to get in the event.
the friendly suggestion would be to add a word(don't know) that begins with E that fits between W and R, so it'd be C.O.W.E.R, which is what you'll be making people do, right? :tongue.gif:

I become very annoyed by antics like this from people who don't have accurate information.
Interesting story, I had a similar experience when I joined my first Minecraft server last year, the community was great for the first two weeks, and then the administrator started to promote his friends who often got drunk or high, they ended spawning many materials illegitimately, and I was frustrated with that. The server ended up shutting down after I had left because during the earlier days, several players relied on me to lead town projects.
Yeah.. Well, I should be in-game soon. Just working on a few more things but then i'll be all set.
You're more than welcome to use a Minimap modification as long as you don't utilize its CaveMap features which can give out legitimately hidden underground establishments, and I'd love to hear the full story on that creative server you once played on. After all I am a BookWorm wanting to read juicy masses of texts like this application.
I approve of this application, if only more players were inclined to make applications of this substantial quality.

Well, it was a long time ago so i can't remember really all that he said, but he was typing into chat for many lines why he should've banned me, where a lot of the things he said just didn't make any sense.
But, here's the story, from what i remember still:
~~~~~~~~I had applied to a server, it's still running today by the same person i believe, but i'm going to not post his IGN or the server's name, unless you'd want it. I applied to this server one day. It was a few weeks after i had gotten Alpha Minecraft. I applied to the server, and was let on. The server was already very cluttered with fantastical structures near spawn, and i wanted to add to that. I moved a decent distance from spawn though to start building. We collected our materials by hand, and so we had trades going on commonly, as well as Stargates to travel from place to place.
~~~~~~~~The admins seemed to like me and my building as well as other people on the server. By that time, i had been on the server for maybe 2-3 weeks. We began to work collaboratively(me, another member, and a mod) and i wanted to build an Atlantis. We all started on it, collecting sand, coal, iron, all of the necessary ingredients to make it work. The only thing we needed was a deep underwater area. We couldn't find one, so me and the other member started cutting into the ground in a large lake. The mod that was working with us wasn't on much now and so it was just me and the other member. He was soon promoted to be a junior mod.
~~~~~~~~It was maybe, another week into the project of building Atlantis. We had three and a half domes finished(hand building these, which were quite big domes) and had great progress. Multiple members came up to us looking to help, but we wanted to do it by ourselves. We had a forest dome, a throne dome(in the works), a central dome, and would be working on others. It was great working with the other two guys, but the mod that collaborated with us seldom logged on. We missed him, but there wasn't much we could've done, as whenever he logged on, it wouldn't be for long and normally it would be when both me and the junior mod were offline.
~~~~~~~~Week 4 approached(of my membership to the server), and i was getting annoyed. The main admin(server owner) started letting into the server really young, childish, arrogant players who he'd upgrade to junior mods and mods just days after they applied. I was jealous of them because they were able to be mods when they just joined the server when i had been a loyal member for nearly a month and not so much of a recognition by the server owner. for these four months, he was very nice to me and we had common discussions. Around week 2-3, he even told me of a MMORPG private server him and others from the server played on. I installed it and also played with them often on that.
~~~~~~~~The junior mod(who was now a mod and joined the same day, or roughly the same day, as i did) noticed my... impatience. I did want to become a mod, or even a junior mod. There weren't any perks with those other to maintain order(which was getting lost), but i just wanted to be respected, which i wasn't getting from these people who joined the server and were promoted to mod status after only days. I grew annoyed with their increased arrogance and there were multiple times where i just had to log off to get away from it. The junior mod(now mod) said he'd talk to the owner about me and what was going on with these random promotions to people who didn't deserve it, and i didn't hear back anything from the owner for a few days. One of the next times i saw him, he just lost it.
~~~~~~~~He started ranting about me and said the things like he should've banned me long ago, but didn't provide any solid evidence why and didn't explain from where all of this was coming from(NOTE: i did not ask him NOR anyone else to become a mod. I only mentioned it to the collaborators of Atlantis that i was annoyed with the people who were joining one day and promoted the next and that they didn't deserve that status.). The owner started spewing more stuff over TS3 as well as in-game and i'm not one to take yelling in the face. I told him that line of "If you want me gone, then just ban me". I left the server, the TS3 server, and never went back.
Through that last incident, my friend(the collaborating mod) sent me messages over minecraftforums.net because he witnessed it. He didn't quite understand what happened either, and it was just left like that. We stopped communicating about it because there was nothing else that could be done about it and we weren't on the same server. It wouldn't have been right for him to leave that server just for me, and so after a while we just stopped sending messages, and we didn't talk again.
Almost everyone on that server i would have considered a friend(except the childish, incompetent mods that had been there for a few days, and after that argument, i would never consider that server owner a friend again.)

Something wierd is going on. my internet is perfectly fine, and what happens when i try to connect:
it says - Server responded with an invalid Server key.
When i try to connect again, it's End of Stream.
The time or two i did connect, it was just pure lag and i fell into abyss(map didn't load) and it disconnected me. :/
