    Hey Gany,

Think we ran across something new when generating new chunks in the Nether. Specifically when your code determines it should spawn a new random undertaker.

Hoping it's possible to have the player-death chests off, but still get the randomly generated ones in the Nether. Always fun to find random loot :)

Hey Gany, sorry to bug you about this again, but any ETA on that NPE fix?

It looked harmless at first but, I've had some users on my server report that when they die they get d/c'ed from the server (as I reported before) however, when they get back all of their items are gone. Checking the logs from the same time I see that NPE showing up again and when the user reconnects they cannot find any of their dropped items.

Best guess is that the Undertaker may be still "saving" their stuff, but since I have them disabled it is never spawned so their items are forever gone?

I can confirm Polymorph and LordMuzer's reports. Teir 1 upgrade has no recipe. Link Persistence Upgrade has no recipe.

All localized names in the info panel are not getting read correctly. All are non-localized (e.g. item.block.ioblock). Each Range Upgrade is called "Upgrade #1" for T1, T2, and T3. Uber Range Upgrade is called the "Wither Range Upgrade"

Also, near as I can tell the IOBlock doesn't work anymore (at least in terms of accessing the UI of the remote block).

Placed an IOBlock down, two spaces away placed a vanilla single chest. Linked the chest to the IO Block. Block turned blue to show link was successful. Attempted to right-click IO Block with the transceiver and nothing. Added the Item Upgrade and tried again, still nothing. Added in range upgrades of any type. Nothing.

This test was after attempting a few other configurations and connections to other block types (e.g. MFE, gold chest, AE terminal, etc). Could not get a UI to show up at all.

One last thing. Using the IO Goggles after linking a block to the IO Block the "trail" didn't show up at all.

The only change I made to the default config was turning off the UE Upgrade as we have no UE power producers to need it.

    Hey Gany.

Finally had a chance to get those updates on the server and it's going about 99% great so far.

Only one little hitch while testing things out. Killed another player and got booted from the server for an NPE. Didn't hurt the server, just booted the player. Was able to log right back in with no ill effects.

Unfortunately I can't see a reason as to why that would happen, but I'll do some testing and see what I can do.

Yea, didn't think you'd be able to make much out of just that description.

I went ahead and cut out a highlight of the stream where I was setting up the system I described.

Near the end where you see the IO Block and the Ender Tank, about one block to the left of the IO Block is the chunk boundary. The chunk with the IO Block is the one that reset. There was also the odd occurrence of the IO Block never switching to the blue texture to show that it was correctly connected even though it was properly allowing lava through.

Something else I noticed while playing around to figure out how everything worked ( ) I found a couple strange things. The two things I mainly wanted to note are around the last 5 minutes of that highlight.
e.g. Cross-Dimensional upgrade seemed to nullify the range requirements while in the same dimension.
i.e. Had the block well over the 8 block starting range and only the cross-dimensional upgrade yet still connected just fine.

Hope some of this helps you a little better and keep up the great work. Saw you're already working on the 1.7 port :)

Apologies in advance for the vagueness of this bug report, but after pouring through the log files nothing really jumped out at me.

Was playing around with your (admittedly amazing) mod last night to see if I could replace my EnderTank with the IO block set to fluid + cross-dimensional. In the nether I had a BC pump set up and linked the IO block to it.
The IO block was then put in my base and hooked up to some ThermalExpansion fluiducts.

Everything seemed to be fine when I logged off the server, however, logging in today I found that the chunk I had placed the IO block in had gone through a full MC chunk reset :/

I've managed to restore it from a backup from a few days ago, but still felt it worth reporting. If you'd like I can highlight my stream for the part where I was setting up this system so you can see what I did.

The reason I come to you is that this is the only new mod entity I have added to that chunk in the last 24 hours.

In terms of what was in the server log, this was the only thing I could find that was close to talking about a bad chunk:

The only other thing I can think to mention is that earlier the server did crash with an OOM error while ticking a tile entity (not sure which one). That above stacktrace came after the server was rebooted.
It's only a theory, but perhaps it was a IO block ticking. Because the server ran out of memory while ticking it, it was unable to finish whatever it needed to do so left it in a bad state. This bad state was seen by the MC server core as bad enough to warrant a chunk reset?

Either that or there is something a bit unexpected in the way cross-dimensional works? Or maybe a bad cross-mod interaction of RemoteIO and TE's Fluiducts?

Let me know if there is any more information I can provide you.

    Nah it's not the API.
You probably have Undertakers turned off so when it tried to register aspects for it it crashed.
    Simple fix though :)
Thanks again and I'm sorry =P

You are correct. I turn them off as I think it's a bit more exciting to see if you can get back to your stuff before they despawn after you've died :D

And no need to apologize, it's always that one line you forgot to look at cause, "I'm sure I got it all" or "who would turn that off?" :P

    Hi, me again :P

Would have added this to the other thread, but since you have the mods separated figured I'd separate the bug report.

Same thing as with your End update. Went to v1.5.5 today. No problem client-side. Server side:

[SEVERE] [Minecraft-Server] Encountered an unexpected exception NullPointerException
    java.lang.NullPointerException
    at ganymedes01.ganysnether.integration.ThaumCraftManager.init(ThaumCraftManager.java:40)

    at ganymedes01.ganysnether.GanysNether.load(GanysNether.java:123)
If you need more of the stack-trace let me know, but it was all just generic FML calls from cpw's code to load yours.

Using the new Thaumcraft API for 4.10? Not really sure why these updates would work client-side but not on a server.

I've rolled back to the previous versions for now.

And again, thanks for the amazing work on these mods :D

    Neptune,

As requested, notification that I will be including Factorization into my private mod-pack. It will be available only to the users of my whitelisted server and to a few of my followers on Twitch. (I am in the process of attempting to get it listed as a private pack on the ATLauncher to ensure only those who have permission can get it).

The pack itself is a collection of a lot of newer mods and with a focus on technology and decorative building/design. I list of what I have included in it can be found here for your reference:

    Thank you.

    P.S.
Looking forward to checking out the new servo system :)

Was coming here to mention the BC API change "bug", but great to see you guys are already on top of it.

Thanks for the great mod :)

Love the video! Make more short clips like it please=D

Thanks! It took quite a while to get this just right. Many hours of gathering up just the right clips and getting them to fit together just right.

    I'm glad you like it!

It's actually supposed to be a trailer of sorts for my Nightmare Realm LP.

Not sure how often I'll have something like this out, given all the time it took to produce 90 seconds of footage, but we'll see :smile.gif:

A Happy Halloween to all of you Super Hostile'ers!

Figured this would be the most appropriate place for this :smile.gif:

(Warning: Contains possible spoilers for Nightmare Realm)

I spent a lot of time trying to get this right, so let me know what you think.

(Also, would putting this in its own thread makes sense?)

So, yea, massive delays in updates to this thread. (Not really thrilled with how LP threads were buried in their own sub-forum, but that's beside the point :tongue.gif:)

    Anyway, UPDATES!!!!

    Chapter 9 - The Caver's Chronicles
    • Episode 97 – Apparently I Talk Alot (Really only meant for current subscribers)

Hope that makes it up to those of you who were following this thread :smile.gif:
