Opposite of the nether region, but the catch is that you have to go into the nether region to get the light stone. So instead of igniting an obsidian gate, ignite a light stone gate. Heaven is littered with flowers, and it is always daytime. The only mob are angels, who are like ghasts but dont attack and look like the player with wings.
Quote from CaptainBAMF »
Well, a useful trait of heaven is that when you kill angels, you can get their wings, which allows you to travel at 3x speed in the air for 30 seconds. cloud is also a material, and is indestructible.
Okay. Criticism.
A: Why didn't you mention wings and cloud blocks in the OP? Did you just make those up off the top of you head?
B: If cloud is indestructible, how to you collect it?
C: The idea isn't very thought out.
D: Notch doesn't want to offend anybodies religious beliefs.
E: It doesn't add anything useful to the game.
F: Play of peaceful if you don't want hostile mobs.
G: Use the search bar. There are too many suggestions saying "we have the Nether (hell) lets add, *insert name here* (heaven)."
H: Look at the Aether thread. Grey Acumen linked to it.
I like it. Maybe there could be tracks missing, and some dead ends or cliffs. To get it operational, you would have to add in tracks where they are missing, or else take the tracks for yourself.
This would create a barrier between you and the block it hits until you move at least two meters away from where you fired it. If a mob touches the barrier, it takes two hearts of damage and gets knocked back three meters. It then proceeds to wander around randomly, without any intention of chasing you.
Diamond should just remain the way it is. It's cyan! Who doesn't love cyan! Anyway, it's just a game, and since diamond is often perceived as very strong, it works fine in a game.

1. Diamond is, in fact, incredibly hard. It is also incredibly brittle, and only very thick, very heavy objects made of diamond can withstand much of an impact while remaining mostly intact. Essentially, diamond doesn't bend. At all. So when it's stressed beyond where it would bend, it breaks instead. Other materials that aren't as hard are able to bend, which is why they can more easily survive an impact.
2. As we've recently seen, the perception of diamond as a super-strong material is widespread.
Therefore, in a fantasy game, it works fine as a top-tier material.

Look carefully. This is the difference between a user people listen to, and a user people laugh at. The actual basis of the posts are pretty much the same, but you'd be surprised where grammar and a lack of sheep can get you in life.
Lol I lol'd. Everyone is going to make fun of you. Flying is much more fun and useful than a higher jump. And for the 2nd time. IT'S NOT A ****ING HAT you can make a separate topic about slime boots. I mean why would anyone want to use 1 piece of coal just to jump higher? Please go make another topic about slime boots. And don't destroy my ****ing thread with **** smeared posts that use little Icons that literally mean: " I'm too ****ing lazy to copy and paste a grid and make it nice a presentable."
Lackrome... shut up. You're just looking like a major tool right now.
1) You have no sense of game balance. Your recipe can be made easier than a minecart, JUST A MINECART, not even including the tracks. You do not make modes of travel that are better AND cheaper than what already exist.
2) It doesn't matter that it's not a ****ing hat, it's still a ****ing propeller on the end of a motor that you are wearing. You could be wearing it on your PENIS and it would still be JUST as stupid.
3) What the hell do you think those icons are for? People use them for explaining recipes in posts all the time. Not all of us want to waste time in MS paint and uploading pictures even when the idea is good. You should be grateful that any time was spent at all trying to salvage your pathetic idea.
4) While you might accuse Glyph of **** smearing your thread, the fact is he actually came up with a decent recipe AND a decent way to balance your pathetic little wish to ruin the game for your own convenience, so if any **** was smeared, it was because this idea was a pile of **** to begin with.
Quite frankly, your idea had humor value at the beginning, that was pretty much all it had going for it. You going and bitching at people who are actually trying to help just killed that humor, and pretty much any interest people might have actually had in it. Definitely killed mine.
GreyAcumen, you are my new favorite person of the week. This propeller isn't very well balanced at all. I think glyph did a very good job, although, perhaps it also slows down your fall? If you jump straight up six blocks and fall down, it's going to hurt.
Lackrome, this idea just isn't very good, and your being a jerk about it. Your also being a jerk about pixel art.
Sorry about the lack of quality of the picture. I'm still pretty new to this.
Anyway, a paddle does half the damage of a sword at the same range. If you are above the mob you are attacking and you hit it on the top of it, it does the damage of the sword. So you may be saying, why use this rather that a sword which always does the damage of a sword at the same range for fewer resources? This is why. It weakens the enemy. Each hit with a paddle makes the enemy move ten percent slower and their attack is lowered by half a heart. Also, if you use a paddle to get an enemy to half their health, they become non hostile. This makes the paddle a good defensive weapon (oxymoron intended) for slowing an enemy for you to outrun them, or to prevent very strong attacks.
I'll still try to label some purposes to oreos though, cause I gotta defend my own suggestions (especially ones with 8 stamps of approval).
If normal cookies also exist, and fat does too, eventually you'll end up with spare resources you don't need, and oreo's could be a cheap craft.
If normal cookies also exist, then they would need baking, whereas oreo's don't. They could provide less hp then baked cookies, thus are balanced out as the easier, but poorer cookie to make.
Chocolate bars lead the way to cakes.
Oreo pies. Have you tasted them?
Aright. Got a little sweets happy in the last two lines, but w/e.
"Why two cookie types? One's enough >.>"
True, true. Why are there two records, even though gold kind of sucks? Also, additional crafting recipies are always nice.
"Too many ingredients!"
You end up with 3/4's of the ingredients anyway with normal cookies. Assuming fat has a use and is in, you'd have all but one ingredient for oreos. You would end up with spare ingredients, why cant there be a recipe for oreo's?
"Its silly!"
Its also silly that farm animals roam around in overly saturated numbers in the overworld. Its silly that nether portals don't just clear out an area around them, instead of now, where they move, and then have to relink to a crap location.
"Thats more of a glitch.."
Meh. Stick with the top one then. And jackolanterns being able to wear even though they block out half your vision and are completely useless in every given way, unless modded to be night vision or something.
I guess those are my arguements. Once again, you guys are right, though. Except jamps recipe for cola. All the ingredients in mine serve multiple purposes, have a point, etc. etc. . Its more silly that he used that recipe then the soda it actually makes >.>
Since when did bone have pop culture references. anyways.
As I stated I don't mind about new food items. My problem is with the OREOS. They should just be normal cookies.
Listen.
Tell me why we need OREOS in minecraft.
All you are doing is telling me why my arguments are bad but have not given a way to disprove them.
Why do we need oreos in minecraft. Why do we need bookshelves in minecraft? They don't do anything. The reason is that they're fun for most people. Minecraft is a game. It's supposed to be fun. If you don't want oreos, don't make them, and live your life not knowing the joy the rest of the world has with the arrangement of pixels that may make up minecraft oreos.
I have no respect for pop culture references.
They are pathetic and bad comedy.
Just look at scary movie and epic movie.
These depend on pop culture references and are not funny. at all.
And what am I avoiding?
If anything you are avoiding my question.
Where do oreos fit in minecraft?
Oreos fit into Minecraft as a food item which, when consumed by right-clicking while having the oreo selected in the inventory hotbar, will restore X number of the player's hearts. They're also cool.
Well said, Ojr. Muncher, Oreos are a fun addition for most players, and no one is forcing you to make them. If you don't like them, make other food. And as for the question you are avoiding, you initially said that it would be bad to introduce new items just for an oreo. Upon learning that the items would have other uses, you immediately shifted to the argument that oreos are childish and dumb (which is only an opinion. Not fact.) Now that I bring that up, you decide instead to reflect my own question on to me. And if you hate pop culture references so much, don't sport a bone avatar.
I know fat could be used for other stuff. My main problem is how childish and dumb the idea sounds.
Throwing snowballs at sheep shears them. Is that childish and dumb?
Fishing rods propel just about anything at high speeds. Is that childish and dumb?
Skeletons that kill exploding pigs cause the pigs to drop records. Is that childish and dumb?
And also, say what you mean. You said nothing initially about it being childish or dumb.
Do oreos belong in minecraft?
Really think about this.
If you really think you will see that normals cookies would make more sense then oreos.
Do you even have the slightest respect for pop culture references?
And don't change the subject. You're avoiding the question (which to me means that you can't think of a good argument, so you're trying to make me forget about it. It won't work.)
