    will modloader+zombes flymod+toomanyitems work with this? those are the only mods I plan on using. I know modloaders compatible but how about the other ones?

    Do you think you could add an option to reset the settings to how they are when you first download optifog? I was getting really good fps when I first played after downloading, and then I started mindlessly messing with settings and now I dont remember what the settings were.

    This is something that will add a lot of depth to the game.

    I recommend adding a poll. If someone who works at mojang sees it, it will look good to see that tons of people support the idea.

    From what I've noticed it rains a LOT more on SMP than it does on single player. I've yet to get rain on my world in singleplayer, but whenever I join an smp server I get tons of rain.

    I think they should increase the chance of rain in single player, (maybe at least once every two weeks, like mohawkninja said.)

    In smp maybe how often it rains is because of a bug or something and they didnt intend to put it in there. In anycase, the chance of rain should be decreased in smp.

    The download links dont work for me. Im trying to get the version compatible with 1.5_01 but neither of the download links load the page. I disabled my adblocker and everything but it still wont work.

    I think there should be hallucinogenic mushrooms. I understand it might be kind of controversial if mojang were to actually add them in, (they're illegal in the states but they're practically harmless.......kind of.)

    If they did get added in it should be something like this.
    Instead of creatures showing up as a mob they actually aren't (example: pig showing up as sheep) That would just be confusing and **** me off.

    It should be like this.

    -Shifting walls. (walls that appear to be moving)
    -Strange color contrasting (maybe more mellow colors like purple and blue)
    -Clouds in shapes of things.
    -switches in and out of 3rd person mode (out of body experience)

    There should be an element to this that adds depth to the game though. Maybe...during a trip it will allow you to acess some kind of dream/sub concsious world that only exists in your mind but it would be the opposite of the nether.



    Oh yeah and they should let you grow weed also :tongue.gif:

    Yes..... It would take a person thats very experienced with coding in java and modding in general....but we've seen some pretty amazing mods from the minecraft community so its definitely possible.

    You have to have a graphics card thats compatible with the feature for it to work correctly. I got way better performance, I guess because my graphics card/drivers are compatible.

    If their incompatible it would probably make performance worse.

    I was getting bad fps (I think it was about 10-25) when I had the render distance far, and the graphics set to fancy, and advanced opengl OFF. When I turned advanced opengl ON and the settings the same as before, I had WAAAYYY better performance (maybe 30-60 fps.)

    I think the people who are complaining about advanced opengl making the game perform WORSE, just have graphics cards that are not compatible with the feature, so they get worse performance.

    So the explanation on the minecraft wiki would make sense.

    The only mods I have are toomanyitems and optimine. Should I wait for the optimine compatible version of this? If I go ahead and do the latest version of optifog now, without waiting for the optimine compatible one will i be fine?

    I love this idea not just because OMG CATS I NEEDZ ONE......

    MICE
    The idea of using mice to tame the cats is GREAT but mice should have a purpose other than that to add atmosphere. I was thinking an item drop (not just coal.) Mice should drop an item thats common and simple, but useful and unique.

    BATS
    bats should definitely be hostile and no way to tame them. They should only spawn in caves and fly at your characters eye level or maybe a little higher. (Im thinking of the lost souls from the classic doom games if anybody has played those.) they should have a drop like (I know it doesnt really make sense but its just a video game and its point isnt to be realistic) dark feathers that can make special kinds of arrows. Maybe arrows from bat feathers could be more accurate, or light up in the dark to assist you while shooting in cave, I mean just imagine the possibilities!

    CATS
    cats should behave just like dogs (attacks mobs that attack you) but both should have their own characteristic like.....I dont know maybe dogs will start to follow items that are dropped, and cats can see in dark caves without lighting....or it could be the other way around or something like that.




    I feel sorry for notch with how many suggestions there are and what directions he wants to take with minecraft. I'm starting to feel like notch and his fellow people at mojang might be losing interest in developing minecraft but theres so much more that could be done with it. Of course im just assuming and I could be wrong but I think there are somethings that should be implemented before the development of minecraft ends.

    -This idea
    -A detailed weather/ natural disaster system
    -A thirst and hunger system

    I know that this is in the mapping/modding section, but sometimes really popular mods that fit along the lines of the game and make sense get added in officially. I cant wait until its fully made as a mod and then maybe mojang will take a look and see how awesome it is.

    sorry if that last bit was rambling on too much about things and kind of going off topic but I just felt like it kind of needed to be said.
