Here's a closer map view. Spawn is in the upper left corner.

posted a message on 1.13 Jungle Island?

The seed "6408041108247085973" has what you want but you don't spawn on it.
However, you DO spawn on an island with a forest withing 500 blocks of the jungle island.

You could create the world in creative, change world spawn to 468, 64, -196 and then kill yourself.

BTW -- It took me 400 random seed views and 40 minutes with Amidst to find this world.

posted a message on 1.13 Jungle Island?

I don't normally keep notes of seeds for jungle islands.
The seed "7211286957878283462" spawns you on a small jungle island.

sugar cane, cow, melon, plenty of wood, cocoa beans.

I suggest that you download Amidst v4.3beta3, run it, select a VANILLA profile for the PCMC version you prefer, and start hitting Ctrl-R. (the link is in my signature)
That will cause Amidst to display the biome map of random seeds.
Hint: Place Amidst in it's own folder and create an empty file in that folder named "history.txt".
When Amidst starts up it will detect that file and from then on will create a log of every seed that it displays.
That way, if you hit Ctrl-R too quickly you can find out what the seed was of the previous map and redisplay it.
Ctrl-H gives you the seed input dialog.
I use Notepad++ as my default text editor as it will update itself if Amidst adds a line to history.txt while it is open in a Notepad++ tab.

EDIT: "8622123686811160743" qualifies if you define an island as being separated from the mainland by a river.
Note, the image is with Amidst only highlighting the biomes that would define a jungle island.

posted a message on (1.12.2) Very large forested island - perfect for builders!

Here's the Amidst map of "86559840".
The island is 400 x 400 and there are two mines below it.
It's mostly Forest with a small patch of Forest Hills.

    I created this world.

A quick fly around showed pigs, pumpkins, sugar cane, and several shallow caves.

    Seed: "1247433570027833368"
You spawn on an island with a nice village.
Unfortunately, no blacksmith, church, or library.

Amidst showed spawn on the island tot the south so Steve shows actual spawn in the map below.

posted a message on (1.12.2 and earlier) Large one tree survival island

    Seed: "-8561044273240362381"

You spawn on a 350 x 100 island that has ONE tree at the other end and has chickens.
I've created this world in 1.12.2 and 1.13pre-6.
I've been playing it in 1.12.2 and there are at least two entrances to some reasonably large cave systems. Not great, but plenty of iron and coal.

In 1.13 the ocean around the islands is much deeper and I didn't see any cave entrances.
There is one tree available also but you will have to swim to it.

There are horses and cattle in this world.

    Below is the 1.12.2 map.

posted a message on How to Find any Glitched seed!

How do I toggle the sign bit?

Assuming you are using the old calculator in Programmer mode.
The display shows the Decimal value and just below that is all 64 bits in 16 groups of 4 (16 nybbles).

Reading right to left (lowest value to highest value) bit 0 through bit 63 for a total of 64 bits.
Programmers always start a count at zero.

To toggle any bit just place your cursor on it and left click.

Notice the only difference in the two binary numbers in the picture.

As you can see, bit 63 is the sign bit. (1 meaning negative)

posted a message on How to Find any Glitched seed!

If have the old Windows calc.exe. (Pre Windows 10)
You can set it to Programmer's mode and enter the seed "107038380838084" as your base seed.

Then start toggling bits in the left most 16 bit positions to get any one of the 65536 glitched worlds.

Be aware that turning on the left most bit will give you the negative seeds.

Hint: If you want to do this systematically, when you first start the calculator in programmer mode turn on the 48th bit.
That's the rightmost bit of the fourth nybble from the left.
That will display 281474976710656 (make sure you turn off digit grouping. Minecraft doesn't like seeds with commas).
    Hit MS (memory store).
Then copy "107038380838084" (without the quotes) from here and paste it into calculator.
Now all you have to do is hit + and MR and = to get the next world seed.
I suggest you copy the results to a text file for later use.
If you have to stop copy just use the last seed saved to start where you left off.

If I knew JAVA or any other language that has the 64 bit signed integer data type I'd write a program to take a base seed number and increment number and produce a text file of copyable seeds. Bearing in mind that there are 65,536 of them.

If you reach 9223197600258903236 (the highest positive glitched world seed) you have two options.

First: You can add 281474976710656 as before and suddendly your running total will read -9223264998473937724.
This is the largest (most negative) glitched world seed.
You can then continue to add 281474976710656 (using + MR enter) and keep generating lese and less negative glitched world seeds.

Second: You can toggle the sign bit to 1 (that's bit 63 btw) and get -174436595872572 which is the smalles negative glitched world seed.
From here you would have to SUBTRACT 281474976710656 (using - MR enter) to get each of the negative glitched world seeds.

One more thing to be aware of.

This probably won't work as expected in Release 1.13 or later.

You can Google how to download and install the old calculator program.
One install program adds it to Windows 10 and saves it as calc1.exe.

BTW I use NotePad++ as my text editor and love it.

And I do have a text file list of glitched world seeds. Just not very many.

As I use Amidst to preview seeds.

    Quote from DuhDerp»

Pretty sure he's referring to the IGN, not the forum accountname (for a forum that's not actually even officially associated with Mojang, to boot). Both my original Minecraft account as well as the Twitch merge account I was forced to change to are different from my minecraftforum.net account, so you can't really just look at forum names to assume what's available and what's not.

Good point, my bad. I forgot that many people, unlike me, don't join the forums with their IGN or vice versa.

Go to https://www.minecraftforum.net/members and search for the name you want to use.
If it doesn't exist I have to assume that it's available.
