Enderman all the way. It's a lot creepier than "Farlander."

I think the goal of your poll is probably "Which holds more value?" based on opinions, of course.

Saying something like "You can't craft sticks from planks if you choose planks." sways the results of the poll.

So, my answer to which item holds more value? Planks and for the same exact reason that I chose Logs over Planks: space. It can also be concluded that Planks hold 4x the value of a stick because you can get four sticks from one plank.

If you were to never be able to craft or spawn the other at all?

That statement sways the poll in the direction you want it to go. That statement makes the poll pointless.

And I agree with Haloya, you can't properly compare the two.

I hope you entered binary into the seed field at world creation, because that seed isn't binary.

posted a message on What did you do on your first day of minecraft?
I voted for the "I'd heard about this in a good way." thing.

However, my first actions on Minecraft were punching the nearest tree and then digging into the snowy mountain behind me.

I've been waiting for a tool like this to create my own landscapes for a while! Your tool set is simple, powerful, and easy to use; good job! I use a Mac, and it seems to work very well.

One thing I've noticed, the Flatten tool seems to like making noise every once in a while, inserting little one-block-deep pits around my cursor. In other words, it's not quite flat!

I think it might do that if you have a certain falloff in use. I use the first falloff when using the flatten.

I can't really explain why I find it easier to get a seed from a Minecraft world vs. finding it with WorldPainter. I honestly can't. xD It seems...or feels...easier for me. I use the most recent WorldPainter.

Surely that is a lot more work than to use WorldPainer to find a seed, slow though that may be? :wink.gif:

For me, it would seem like a lot more work to use WP. However, it's easier for me to find a good seed if I can really see it. Maybe I'm basing it off of my past experiences, I tend to get worlds that are largely forest or rainforest (which is what I'd be after), whereas every seed I try in WorldPainter is desert, tundra, plains, etc.

Yeah. It's just an inevitable annoyance with map creation, it seems. The only good way to do it is to continuously make legit MC worlds and try to find a seed that matches how you want your map to be. Hehe. Better than randomly guessing a seed until you find one.

EDIT: Captain, would it be possible to add more control over the cavern painting? It's lovely being able to paint your own cavernous areas instead of having it random, however I've noticed my caverns tend to be really sporadic and annoyingly random. I suppose it's a good thing for caves to be random. However, what about adding a way to specify the range of depth the cavern is?

You could paint it like you do now, but with the depth settings (which would be a range). For example, the depth range could be 30-40 and then your cavern would snake through the ground at or above layer 30, but never above 40.

Is that possible, is the main question. :smile.gif:
