I played the map and enjoyed it. Question: I went around the map in creative mode and found multiple areas that aren't used - are you planning on updating the map to be longer and include new areas? I'd enjoy that.
This map looks pretty creepy. I'm definitely gonna give this a run. Will this map work in 1.7.4? How's he supposed to know the music he picked would get flagged by YouTube?
Yes, it works on 1.7.4 ... And that's right, it's not my responsability to be honest. I just did the map without considering uploads to Youtube, it's your responsability if you record it and upload it.
Bickercraft,
The work you and Steelfeather have done is really good, I plan on making a Assassin's Creed Adventure map using this resource pack. The only problem is that it means i would have to add some sounds and things to the pack. However, i understand that is a breach of copyright so what should i do? should i make a separate Sound pack and tell people, when the map is done, just to merge the packs?

Well, in the 1.7 version of Minecraft, an update is coming where you can combine resource packs by having them in 2 individual files, so you could use that feature then
Ummmm..... i dont know how to download this resource pack. Am i being stupid(probably), or is there some thing wrong?
Just click on "Spoiler" below the "DOWNLOAD" image, click on any of the 2 images to choose wich resource pack to download, this will take you to mediafire, so just download it there.

In other news, I'm probably releasing an update today or tomorrow, so wait for it soon ;D
Thanks everyone for your replies and videos , I read them all and watch all the video, but lately I've been busy with university. Anyways, it's good to see everyone is enjoying the map, thanks a lot!
Man, I am actually a little scared to play this map. I guess it will good for the video though I'll play and record it tomorrow Wait... Am I supposed to be excited about that...?
-Also how long roughly does this map take? (Sorry if it's in the forum post... I don't really look too much through those. More at the pictures and well.... yeah...)
Haha... well this map SHOULD take you around 30 minutes
Had a go at this map and i must say it is right up there with some of the best horror maps like the staircase, good jump scares and there a lot of them:) Heres my go at it:
Yeah, sorry :C, I will add them again soon, I had to update it and I just deleted it by accident, actually, I was ordering the playthroughs a few hours ago just to get them in the main post again.
Review Summary
It's a bit hard to say what I liked about this map without giving anything away, but I did have 2 moments of jump scare. Played in the dark with headphones. I like the overall theme and tie in with historical reference. The text in the books didn't really deepen the spookiness, but I appreciated the thematic writing. Interesting multiple endings. Love the tv set. My biggest problem is that it took me FOREVER (25 min) to find where to take the key. I had to turn to a regular texture pack and get rid of the blindness, figure that out and then restart the map. My problem was, I was always sticking to the walls and with the texture pack I didn't see where to go. The second biggest issue I had were the teleports when I thought I was about to go through a door - that took me out of the experience too often. I would say it was average creepy throughout - I don't think it got progressively more difficult nor scary. Slowness was a bit irritating, but not as much as tiny render plus blindness - I get it, that's part of the point. It's DEFINITELY better than some of the other "horror" maps I've seen where you're simply walking through a dark space with jump scare noises.
25 min to find the trapdoor, that was excruciating. I was filming with webcam up to this point, but then got frustrated and played the rest without.
Villager at bottom of steps got me.
All of the red heads were a little too cartoony, not scary. Too square.
The button and pressure plate teleports with fake doors were pretty annoying and took me out of the experience.
Energy machine was fun idea!
Great sounds, subtle use of gravel and other footstep textures without overdoing it.
Melon seeds made me chuckle.
I got lost for about 5 min after Anazareth, didn't find the stairs down.
At the end, I tried right-clicking 3 other places before I found to put the bible in the FLOOR. Not intuitive.
I'm glad you played it , and I'm sorry it really wasn't what you were waiting for probably, but I tried to make it as smooth as possible because of sounds playing in certain areas, so I had to separate them from a relative distance and I had to add the teleports. Anyways, I'm sorry it wasn't the great experience I was waiting from you , but I'll keep improving, thanks for the review!

The only swearing would be you screaming if it scares you.

Yes, if a door can't be opened, then that's not the way to open it.

Most of the people take around 30 minutes to finish it... and just a few more than that.
All with command blocks
Thanks for your videos, I really enjoyed them
