Welcome to Tomatix's Minecraft Server, a friendly, semi-realistic, and entertaining SMP server ran by Tomatix and Kristian. The social environment itself is very versatile and dynamic, getting people of different nationalities, beliefs, playing styles, and what not. The server itself is based around a city called Riverside (city/map may vary) and it has the realistic attributes of a real city: streets, houses, buildings, police, currency, laws, and all that good stuff. You may also decide to build far from civilization, but where is the fun in that? Anyways, hope you enjoy. If you are a griefer, there is a special place in hell for you.
I think that there is a lack of solid building materials for buildings/houses in Minecraft. Sure, we have brick, sandstone, cobblestone, smoothstone, and stone bricks, but imagine how many buildings on planet Earth have colored/painted stone?
My idea is to combine a dye with smoothstone to create a "colored" stone so we have more options when making buildings. I personally love smoothstone for construction, but when making a whole city, it would be nice to have white, red, blue, etc. smoothstone. In my opinion, gray dye would not affect smoothstone since smoothstone is already gray.
So why not wool?
Wool is weak, flammable, and hard to collect. So lets not even go there.
I am having some issues though. On certain maps (like Broville, a large city) guns do not work at all. I can craft them, spawn them, etc. but when I right click to shoot it simply does not work. I tried looking on Google and on this thread and could not find similar issues the same as mine. Please be advised however on normal blank maps without structures the GunMod works just fine.
I used a note block to scare my friend on a multiplayer server :biggrin.gif:
He didnt know about the noteblocks and when he tried to go into my house he set off a load of note blocks xD apparently he fell off his chair in shock"!
That also works. Somebody hid a hi-hat Note Block (most annoying one) and put it on a very irritating note to the ears, and buried it about 6 feet underground so whenever I walked near the spawn area I get irritated.

This video is awesome
(it's not me)
Holy mother of Notch! That is so much better than mine, I am definitely jealous!
Excuse me if it is the wrong section, but I want to discuss Note Blocks. I think they are very beneficial and could be used for not only music, but for doorbells, alarms, and pranks. I just want to thank Notch and the development team for the Note Blocks. Here is how I used them...
Yes - there have been multiple threads on this (more than we can count). But I am on v1.2.6 on the 3 December 2010 update, using SMP, and /home or /spawn is removed and I fell through an obsidian hole and I just keep falling, falling, and falling. Please bare in mind that I have the "invincibility" bug where I can't die, pick up stuff, etc. So if you have a solution (I am not running this server by the way) I would gladly appreciate it.
Game Type: Alpha Version: 1.2.6 Occurrence: All the time SSP or SMP: SMP Description: I am on an SMP server. When I went on an adventure to find snow, I found quite a few "digital miles" of it. So I tried to get a shovel and acquire snow from sand. It didn't work. Then I tried getting snow on actual snow blocks using a shovel, and I still didn't get any snowballs. Now, my bad if this thread existed but my searches came out negative. I would really like an explanation/by-pass technique for acquiring snow balls because they seem like a fun activity to do on top of Minecraft's dozens of things to do. Thank you.

Well, basically, the same color as the wools that can be dyed.
However, light gray would be the same color as the original smoothstone.

Great modification! Revolutionary in Minecraft.
