    So tonight I got quite bored and started making the UglyCraft texture pack. (it looks hideous!)

    I take all of the needed fiiles, ZIP them, add them to the folder etc etc etc.

    The pack loads fine, except with one problem: Anything transparent is now just WHITE. glass is WHITE, leaves are WHITE, everything that used to be clear is now ugly white and you cant see through it.

    How do i fix this?

    Well heres the way its shaping up to be so far:

    its turning into a puzzle/horror type of game. due to the 200 zombie limit, inside of a 300x300 plane means that zombies will be fewer than I had hoped.

    I am now changing how they the spawners are placed, and zombies are just an obstacle in some buildings that guard valuables, or prevent travel to certain key areas. In stead of zombies scatted all over the ciy,there will be some clear areas and some swarmed areas.


    Redstone puzzles also guard many of the key items/areas, more complex puzzles mean a better loot.

    poll is broken, phpBB sucks. So far the consensus is no crafting, Ill be watching to see if that changes.

    Well, since everyone still seems to want crafting,I have an idea.

    MCEdit has a "find and replace" feature right? (If it doesnt then this idea is out.)

    I could have adminium reskinned to look like a smoothstone variant, and then make the entire city out of that. Couple that with Hyper's idea of swapping out the ore vs blocks of iron and diamond. (Meaning that any block the player smelts will give one raw ore that needs smelting, and *not* a block of 9 iron or diamond) crafting might be able to be added.

    It would be done mostly with on map crafting tables, and a few limited resources. (yes that means im still not allowing wood in buildings, it would need to be fund in chests and such.)

    it would take a large bit of work on my end, and I will need to think of a new "theme" for the city. (adminium used to be otherworldy crystal, it looks pretty badass) But i will do it everyone wants it. (expect more delays :iapprove: )

    BUT for this to work I need be assured of two things.
    -MCEdit can find and replace (then i gotta learn how)
    -adminium can conduct redstone wire

    if one of these doesnt work then this whole idea is kaput.

    Yeah, that's kinda how I feel given the complete removal of crafting - it's one of the main reasons I haven't bothered working much on textures anymore because that kinda bummed most of the wind out of my sails...

    That and I finished the tools which were, in all honesty, the most satisfying of the retextures to make since they were simplest and results were the most tangible.

    And I don't think BenJ really likes my working on stuff since I get people excited though I'm techincally not part of the project... >_>... <_<

    Youd be wrong there, both fatbaby and I agreed that you did some really nice stuff

    and I think...for shits and giggles...Im gonna rig up a hidden squid spawner if the city park. Just for lulz.

    1-If you die whilst holding the obsidian, then youre boned. But it shouldnt be too big of a problem, as the tough part is meant to be getting to the obsidian area. The only hazard guarding the obsidian itself is going to be puzzles, non-lethal ones at that.

    2-I suck at building, but other people have made some crazy looking stuff so far.
