Even if people are wary of making a fully updated package, given the way minecraft lets you layer resource packs, couldn't we at least create a single unified update package combining all the contributions of new tiles to be laid over the top of the original dandelion download?

Ah yea, they have their own lighting. gbuffers_block.vsh, line 54 and gbuffers_entities.vsh, line 110.

Probably my biggest want at this point would be configurable colour temperature and dropoff rates for the torches, if you're gathering feedback. But I can deal. This shaderset is amazing.

Oh, and water shading on cauldron water.

Anything that can be done about this? The wall of maps has lanterns behind it: also, the room is entirely enclosed, so no idea what that sun is doing there.

Speaking of which, portal reflectivity doesn't seem to happen in the nether...

Can your 1.11 download just be merged with the official 1.8.1 download, or is there an intermediary update I need as well? It's a bit hard to keep track.

Are you keeping to the original palette with the new textures?

Is there any way to up the brightness and/or range of torches, maybe whiten them a bit?

A request, I guess, for a variant when you've got 10.1 out. I love this shaderpack, but I really wish that interior and night lighting wasn't quite so... dim.

    OKAY.

I'm testing out a new version where I've changed it to Java, for anyone who still wants this thing but was having trouble with the .NET framework. Other changes:
    • Support for spaces in filenames.
    • 'Advanced' screen allows for memory settings and Java Runtime selection.
    • Remembers last-run profile.
    • 'Default' profile launches your non-profiled minecraft.
I'll add it to the original post soon when I'm done making sure it all works properly some more, but if anyone wants the java one now, here:

    Download 2.0

Please let me know if you stumble across any bugs.

Does anyone know how to add minecraft to steam so it applies the overlay whenever you play one of your installations? For example, I have a Stock MC folder and a Snapshot one, and using this program, I can run both. Can I get the Steam overlay to work on both installations? Sorry if it's confusing. Thanks

Hmm. Not sure you can do this, actually.

    so basically MultiMC?

Well, to be fair, it predates MultiMC, and is a lot more lightweight, which may or may not be what you want.

You know, I'm surprised you didn't use the pale wood from terrain-olds.png for birch, it'd be perfect.

Huzzah! 12w25a! Thanks for all your efforts, man.

I don't see why it'd be overkill - tab are meant to be a part of the panel, like the vanilla one below. In fact, that's the whole base metaphor behind tabs. What you've got there is just buttons arrayed where tabs would normally be. Make the tab an extension of the brown frame, with darkened ones behind for the other tabs.

Plus, there's already a scrollbar graphic in the pack - it's what you have when setting field of view or brightness. Just make an expanded version of that for the scrollbar.

Whilst I'm on the suggestion train, can I propose that Pine Wood should be darker? It's the standard dark wood of the game, but right now it's bright and orangey. If anything, jungle wood should be what pine wood is now, birch should be what jungle is now, and pine is meant to be darker and browner, maybe the same colour as the lower half of a chest.

I'm REALLY not sure about the tabs there. The whole point of lucid is that it avoids that kind of over-detail and marbling.

Oh, wow. I checked this thread for a few months after I posted it, then after nothing happened for ages, assumed it had died out... I did not expect five pages.

Maybe this'll give me the impetus to get around to finishing my java version with spaces and RAM settings.

For those with XP, I'm really not sure; .NET seems to have some odd issues. Do be aware that .NET 4 doesn't include previous versions - you need 4 and 3.5 alongside each other. The Java version, if I do go back to it, shouldn't have such problems; also I believe some other people have taken up the whole home folder redirect idea and made tools based on it, so try those as well.

And yeah, a mac version is - well, I'm not sure if it's possible, actually, I'd have to look into how mac sets up the directories. I wouldn't be able to test it, though.

First, I adore this texture pack. Thank you very much.

Secondly, your clockfaces are broken in the latest release. The transparent pink colours are slightly wrong.

You forgot the dragon egg, next to the enchantment table.

    Fair point.

    Here you go, peoples.

I also played with the enchantment table and fixed the rest of the records in items.
