My favorite class is the Medic, though it's partially because no one tries to play it and someone needs to fill the role. I play the Soldier and Sniper as well, however.
Only to in servers not be cheaters and Cs 1.6 is perfect.
Cheaters isn't a big problem on CS:GO, if that's what you were thinking, even in the lower competitive ranks. In most of Valve's FPS games, you can choose to enter or exit a server so you don't have to deal with aim-botters or wall-hackers.
The only big issue is griefing, trolling, and raging children...though that's a trait of many online games, anyway. Most of the current online games allow you to mute or report any harassers.
Making hand gestures while talking is perfectly natural, and it's a way for most people to grab their attention and emphasize their emotions or points in an argument, from pointing fingers to an opponent to pounding the table to express anger.
"I purchased the game from Japan as well," Keiko remarked. "And I'm playing from Japan, too, though you are correct – I'm actually from the United States myself. Not sure what sanity has to do with the metric or imperial system, but I just use the metric system mostly because I'm taking classes in Japan. It's not like the people in the United States don't use the metric system, anyway...
"Anyways, I'm getting off track," Keiko added, quickly accepting Magi's, or rather, Aiden's friend request. "Sure, I'll try to meet up with you later on, but right now, I need to work on some stuff." With that, Magi sped off to the Northern Gate, most likely with his group to kill some easy boars. Keiko still needed to pick some armor and purchase some items from the general store. She wasn't sure whether she should PM Magi about arriving for monster killing later; Keiko didn't want him waiting on her.
While she was still searching through the shopping menu, however, she was interrupted by a greeting from a female in front of her. "Flare," Keiko tersely answered. "It's nice to meet you –" Before Keiko can finish, however, she was teleported along with the other players. In a flash, she disappeared from the blacksmith store and reappeared at the Starting City starting point.
"What the..." Keiko was completely confused by this action. This was the first time a forced teleport was used in the game, including the beta version. Something's wrong...maybe it's just my own NerveGear problem? I should try... Her thoughts stopped when she paused to stare at the empty button, where the words "Log Out" were supposed to be. Where...where is it?
"I'm Flare, though people in real life call me Ikegami." answered Keiko."You playing from America? SAO was pretty popular in America, though I've heard people play from Europe, Australia, Canada, even Korea, surprisingly, even though they're making their own kind of NerveGear themselves. Did you know that there was a line stretching several kilometers in Los Angeles, with people basically all around the world, just for purchasing the 1500 SAO games? Crazy, I tell you. It's the new generation of online gaming.
"Thankfully, you and I got it beforehand. I'm not going to stay out there, especially when it's getting cold. My parents probably wouldn't have approved, anyway," Keiko continued as she purchased some throwing knives. "I kind of have to admit, I'm just playing as a guy on this account, just to see what extra perks or clothing they get. I'll probably go back to playing as a girl when the game takes off the player quota."
Keiko was observing the weapons laying in the glass boxes until someone next to her approached her. "No, I've been in the beta, though I didn't manage to play a lot of SAO at the time," she answered. I sound different...was it because of the gender switch? Keiko felt weird trying to play as a male. "I honestly only found the blacksmith because of the map feature. Look, I'll show you..."
She swiped the menu open, opening up "Inventory". Keiko dragged out an bluish gem from her window, conjuring it into the virtual world; the gem immediately spread into a large map of the 1st floor. "The Starting City is on everyone's map in their inventory, along with the markers of all towns, lesser cities, and points of interest, though you would need to explore the uncharted areas and the towns to gain more detail. You must be a beta tester yourself if you managed to get here. It's not easy to find things in the Starting City without previously playing the game.
"Anyway, I'm trying blade weapons this time. It was exciting playing as a tank last time, but it's better to try something different," Keiko continued. "The raiper, then? It's a bit difficult to use, since its attacks are only thrust type, but I heard it does more damage in some areas. So what's your name?"
Immediately, these was a flash of light, and the world around her — the table in her room, the chair next to her, even the bed she was sitting on — disappeared into whiteness. This was followed with letters appearing out of nowhere, spelling the words "Welcome to Sword Art Online!" before disintegrating. A window popped out in front of her, reading "Choose your language". With a few taps, she picked the option "English"; she didn't want to experience the last time she tried playing the game in Japanese during the beta, when they were still debugging the game translators. The text switched to two bars, one for user name and another for password. Quickly, she typed in her correct user name and password.
"Welcome, Flare." Keiko smirked when she heard that familiar AI sound. She was in the game. Soon, Keiko was greeted with a third window regarding the Terms of Service and warning toward people with seizures. Mostly useless stuff. Keiko merely scrolled down and pressed the "I Agree" button. Finally did Keiko transform into her game avatar, with another window telling her if she wanted to make any changes to her avatar. Hmm...I can try playing a male this time, just to see what armor they get to wear and extra traits, Keiko thought. It would be pretty interesting...why not. The features save for different genders, anyway. Just tweak the height and buffness a bit...
After a few minutes, she teleported into the familiar Starting City. I haven't played much of the beta when I got it. Maybe I could try to catch up and get to the 10h floor. I heard it was hard enough to keep the players busy for three weeks, she pondered. Keiko realized, however that she no longer had the armor nor the status or skills of her beta avatar. Look like I need to farm up my level first.
With that, Keiko (Flare) moved to search for the blacksmith. Despite playing the beta, the Starting City was still complex enough to confuse any experienced player without a map. She wanted to try throwing picks this time; battle axes were cool, but it was boring using the same weapons over and over again. Still, it felt a bit unusual to be using blade weapons as a tall male. Never mind. It adds a bit of the surprise factor into it.
((Please, don't backseat moderate this rp. You're not accepting or denying the applications, so just deal with it. Not everyone has the time to write a giant novel about their character. And nobody tries to make their application impressive because of pictures. Some, like I, find it easier to imagine. Lastly, I don't see any Mary Sue characters. Any that are, were denied.))
I'm not backseat moderating the RP, nor am I specifically pointing fingers at anyone. I'm not telling you to make a PoW-like post, either, but as a roleplayer myself, I still want to see some effort, not some random one sentence application.
And I do appreciate that the OP is doing his job...I would like a personality and backstory category though, since "Getting the NerveGear" isn't just enough.
Seriously, I can't accept the lack of information in most of these applications. They're extremely vague and don't assess the player's own personality and history. (And placing down "To be RPed" probably isn't going to cut it). A picture from a mange or anime doesn't automatically make your application impressive; I still see several people here being Mary Sue characters.
Appearance: Black, straight, and moderately long hair parted on the left. Her eyes are brown, along with nearsighted – Keiko commonly wears glasses instead of eye contacts in the actual world. Her nearsightedness, however, does not convert to the virtual world of Aincrad, nor does her partly dyed brown hair. She measures 168 cm (5' 6") tall with a typical physique of a female.
Unique Skill: | Serrated Edge (Rank 1) | All weapons have decreased damage (approx. 25%) in return for bleeding effects per hit. Throwing picks and knives have an extended piercing time and increased damage.
History: Born in San Francisco, California, United States, Keiko is classified as a second generation Japanese-American by most people. Her father was the CEO of a computer AI company back in Japan, allowing the family to afford money to move to the United States. Keiko barely saw his father, however, as he remained in Japan to do his work, leaving Keiko living with her mother.
As a daughter of a millionaire, Keiko lived in a coastal house with almost anything others can only wish to have, with their own boat, pool, and recreation room. Her parents also expected a lot from her, hoping that she could succeed like her father in the Silicon Valley. While she did go to public school like most children, she was usually tutored in several extracurricular activities, leaving little time for recreation.
When she was 12, however, her mother decided to return to Japan with her daughter for the sake of having some time with her own father and "returning to their roots". The life in Japan was a lot more different than the life in the United States, and so Keiko needed to adapt to a different culture. She also needed to use her less experienced language a lot more often.
Exactly in time to enter junior high in Japan, Keiko was treated...differently in school. People acted a bit awkwardly in front of her due to being an outsider, and she was seen with a "don't mess with me" vibe. (Humorously enough, her UV protection glasses and casual wear make her look like a delinquent.) Nonetheless, she did gain some popularity for her background, and did have some friends to back her up.
SAO/ Nerve Gear
Like that, junior high passed. Currently a first-year student *, Keiko was able to buy the SAO, along with the Nerve Gear, during the summer vacation as a beta tester, thanks to her father's influence. As Player No. 455, she created her avatar as a orange haired, axe wielding warrior, hence the name Flare. (Ironically, her actual appearance is anything but a "flare".)
Unfortunately, she did have much time to play the beta, mostly because real life came in the way. When the beta ended and the official game started, Keiko thought she was lucky to be able to play it in the weekend, when tutoring classes and school wasn't in the way.
Little did Keiko know, though, that she would be stuck in the game like everyone else in it...
Type of weapon: One-handed axe, throwing picks.
Main skills: Blade Weapons, Tools Appraisal, Purchasing Negotiation, Sales Negotiation.
Personality: Keiko is a cold and quiet person for the most part, but when she actually speaks, she can be rather brash and blunt. People who are more close to her, however, may experience a warmer side of Keiko, though trust is not easy to earn from her. Keiko can also be industrious and calculative, and will do actions she classify as "practical".
Keiko is a smooth talker both in Aincrad and in real life, and knows when and what to say to anyone in order to persuade or manipulate them. Despite these traits, Keiko isn't necessarily evil in morality, but merely, as she sees it, a survivalist, just like in real life, where she has to go through personal obstacles. She would still stand up against something if it goes too far.
Away from all the intense events in Aincrad, Keiko is a multilingual speaker, knowing English, Japanese, Chinese, and Spanish (though she's horrible at it) thanks to her tutoring. She loves history and has done some computer programming in the real world, Keiko's favorite hobbies are doing magic tricks, watching Western animations, and billards.

* A Japanese school year starts around April and ends at the same month after that, though they have a summer vacation between first and second trimester, along with a winter vacation in the second and third. The school year ends with a spring break around March.
I'm still rooting for the Netherlands this World Cup – it has honestly been a bit bland watching Brazil, Germany, and Argentina dominate the champion status. All three still would be difficult opponents, even if they do lose a number of players.
This is so wrong on many levels.
(about a school shooting rp interest check on another site)
and then there were also 3-4 other people who LIKED the idea.
Well, needless to say, the RP won't last long since there isn't any long term conflict. Any kind of shooting would certainly be stopped by the police or counter-terrorist units within the hour.
Because the education system is terrible, most money goes to military. Also the government has no control over the country, 32 states still execute criminals!
The US only uses 4.35% of their GDP (at the most 5%) on military funding. While most countries do not pay as much for military funding, you do have to take notice that the US is a fairly big country and are usually more involved in world events than other countries.
They use about the same amount of money as Russia does. Now, if you look at Saudi Arabia, Israel, or Jordan, however, they spend a bigger percentage of money. North Korea spends a ridiculous amount of money – sometimes using up almost one quarter of their GDP. Not that they have good equipment, anyway.
The US's education system is fairly decent compared to many other countries, though I can agree that it's not the best. Nonetheless, you should be lucky you're getting an education in the first place – half of the world still doesn't have high quality educational facilities, and millions aren't getting one at all, let alone a good one.
Also, I see nothing wrong with capital punishment. Sometimes the best solution is to simply end someone's life. All states still execute prisoners – it's just that a few states do it more commonly, such as Texas.
