You could recreate the old L4D1 maps first, there all night time levels.
I had a great idea, this server I've been in before had this really nice castle with a castle wall that protected the village inside of it. Well when I log into it the other day, the entire castle was griefed to hell with TNT or something. I decided to check out the damage but I couldn't help but go through all the destroyed house, go through chest, and collecting the left behind items. Then night came and the mob started coming out, this reminded me of a game I've played before, L4D. Going through houses looking for supplies, making my way through the city, and trying to avoid mobs. The only problem I see it that It would be better if the mobs came out during the day as well or install some kind of mod that makes it night all the time.
That's my plan....either spawn in the day, or night all the time... but there is a problem with the latter if it's night alllll the time, some of the mission would have to be thrown out...
I Had the idea of creating a server, based solely on Left 4 Dead 2. It will be a pvp server, humans vs zombies, much like l4d2. The way it will be set up is, we would have each level recreated in Minecraft to look almost (we cant get every detail) like L4D2. We will need many things.... Builders (people who have no problem with dedicating a lot of time into the game) Texture packs (something that helps the place look rundown like what L4D2 looks like)
Players.... (anyone who wants to play i guess) and last but not least, a server. we need a server in order to even begin this idea. (It would be wonderful if someone would provide one). People with L4d2 experience would be preferred, but it is not required. once we have a server.... things will fall in place. we will set up a vent.... people with mics will be admins. Texture pack specifics: rundown kind of look... (water is dirty, rocks are dirty.... everything is ....well...dirty) we need axes to look like the axes from l4d2, zombies.... look like zombies from.... i think you know where i'm going with this. if you are going to MAKE the texture pack, bows need to be turned into guns, and arrows into bullets, or we could download SKD's gun mod... (if you don't know it, look it up plz... it's really cool)... This is all that comes to mind right now... i will edit this post in the future when more things come to mind. Edit 2* Players: ... i don't think i mentioned... we are going to include all of the humans/zombies from both L4D.... so that's 8 humans, 5 special infected, and one normal zombie. Reserve which zombie you want to be quickly =) This means.. there will only be 8 humans at a time... but there will be many special infected.... so one person will be zoey, but like 3 people can be hunters... get it?
Edit 3* Steam/scouts: OK this just came to mind... Tell me if you have a steam... if you do, add me Barkatsuki, also if you have l4d2 we can play together and scout out the levels, so that we know what we are dealing with, ok? so addd me so we can play together. my play time for l4d2 is like
