Inventory Quick Move option does not work while on horseback.

Glad you were able to salvage your work. I only play in default (other than a few isolated incidents) so I haven't had the problems others report about T/P's. Your results are interesting, though.
If nothing else, maybe a dev will see your post and cause them to look at the problem from another angle which may lead to a resolution- well done!

Yes. This was happening to me. One way I get around it is to exit to the main menu, then change some option (I usually raise/lower volume by 1) and then load your game. This only works once or twice though- a better method is to completely exit the game and restart it.
I've also noticed something that seems to indicate there is a problem which can also help you avoid the lock-up. When you're at the game loading screen, look at the 'difficulty' setting and the 'online game' check box before you load (see image attached)
If you get graphical glitches like the image on the right- don't continue loading- exit the game first and reload- you might even reboot your console.

I can imagine the error message;
"Your creativity has exceeded PS3 capabilities: Minecraft is shutting down".
I wouldn't rule out the possibility the OS or the graphics RAM reaching their limit or simply can't keep up -leading to a cascade of problems.
Just a thought.

It would be hard to compare the experience between the two consoles unless everything was identical, including the seed, items crafted, builds, amount of map explored, length of time game was played... everything- even the amount of RAM and physical space available to each machine.
Other than skins or texture packs, does XBox 360 really have that much more?
I do agree there are problems - I do the same thing; try to find alternative ways or avoid those situations and hold out hope for a future fix.

By compatible, do you mean ABLE to record from PS3? Any PC or Mac should be able to record game-play with the proper equipment and adequate resources. Here are some things you might consider;
-Recording straight from the PS3's HDMI out will only produce video in 480p due to the installed copy protection.
-You can choose to record with an internal capture card or an external device such as an El Gato HD60 (I use an El Gato).
-Video files are large; you will need plenty of storage and also RAM memory if you plan on doing any editing.
-If your capture device does not have editing software, you'll have to find one for yourself.
-Good upload speed and connection to your service provider is recommended (slow or bad connection will lead to lots of frustration).
Hope that helps.

I don't think Microsoft has anything to do with it. 4J Studios develops the console editions.
Consider this quote from a letter from Owen, Lydia and the Mojangsters (the full version can be read by following the link below):
"What about the other editions of Minecraft? Will they stop being developed?
There’s no reason for the development, sales, and support of the PC/Mac, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, Vita, iOS, and Android versions of Minecraft to stop. Of course, Microsoft can’t make decisions for other companies or predict the choices that they might make in the future."

Unfortunately, PS3 edition does not have entries in the WIKI pertaining to mentioned or planned additions or updates. If you heard it somewhere, it probably depends on the source.
As a general guideline, you can look at what was changed/added in the equivalent PC version (currently, PS3 edition is close to 1.6.4 PC version;
the next version, 1.7.2 or "the update that changed the world" did add many new biomes, wood types and items- but I haven't seen any official announcement yet.

You could try glass blocks, but it might not go with your build (you could probably cover the glass with carpet).

Chuck Norris = SPARK!

It might depend on whether they are right-side up or upside-down- placed at the lower orientation they should not spawn, but if they are level with a whole block (placed at the top-half) they would act as a normal spawning surface. I'll have to check it out next time I get a chance, but I haven't had a problem with mobs spawning on half-slabs.

Thanks, Aky- come by for some Doritos!

Those aren't skirts, silly... they're KILTS- 4J Studios (from Scotland) develops the console versions.
As for when, you're in the right place; there's just no news about it- you could also check the 4J Studios twitter page.. they tweet timely whenever there is an update or patch.
EDIT: Wow.... and here's a perfect example- congrats mates!

Not quite as useful as it is in PC version. One big benefit is unfettered travel through the Nether; particularly because you travel at 8:1 ratio (3:1 on consoles)- it's a big help on those PC size maps when you need to go 1000's of blocks away for certain biomes and/or resources- but you're probably
better off with a good horse on console edition; or like Thr33_Nin3s said- a sanctuary or maybe a restaurant called "Purgatory" --- oh... snap.. TM, copyright, #GHASTBURGER... the movie!
