Welcome to the Badlands of Minecraftia! A product of the war between the forces of two great nations, the once pristine world of Minecraftia is now an irradiated wasteland. You wake up to find yourself in the barren wastes. Use anything you can find to survive!

This mod seeks to add a Fallout-style survival aspect to Minecraft's survival mode. This means more dangerous creatures, a ruined environment, new wastelander and raider villages, and various firearms. However, this is not a copy of the Wastelands Mod. For one, those modders have much more experience than I do and they also are specifically avoiding any content from existing games. Please be patient with my progress as this is my first mod. I will be dividing the content into tiers for easier track of progress. Green denotes features currently enacted, orange denotes features I have worked on but are not finished, and red denotes features I have just started.

    WASTELAND SCAVENGER (Tier 1)

    • New wasteland plants, including broc flowers, xander root, barrel cactus, agave, and more
    • Healing powder from broc flower and xander root
    • Farm-able barrel cactus and barrel cactus fruit
    • Desert salad from cactus fruit, cactus seeds, and cactus green dye
    • Dead shrubs now drop cactus seeds

    • Wasteland shrub grass
    • Hardened, infertile and irradiated soil
    • A campfire for light and cooking meat
    • Sandstone tools
    • Tilled sand
    • Wasteland pistol and ammunition

    • New ores, including clumped oil, lead, copper, tin, sulfur, and niter
    • Passive creatures will now attack you if provoked
    • New wasteland creatures including geckos, giant ants, raiders, human NPCs, and more
    • New hand tools
    • Flint tools (weaker than wood)
    • Dehydration and irradiation
    • New ruins to explore and loot
    • Passive and aggressive human villages
    • New wasteland firearms and grenades
    • New substances (alcohol, drugs, etc) that alter critical hits, sprint, etc.
    • And more!

    PICTURES!

Barrel Cactus three stages of growth and tilled sand

Broc Flowers and Xander Root (Used to make healing powder and stimpacks)

This map is amazing and I would give it a solid 10/10. The limited resources and space really put a strain on the player not unlike the Super Hostile series of maps which greatly adds to the enjoyment. Keep up the awesome work, Mr. Map Maker!

Vechs, you are quite possibly the greatest map maker of all time. Also the multiple Zisteau references throughout Sea of Flame II are quite humorous (MAN PANCE!). Please release #8 soon, as I am in need of more super hostile experience!

Unrelated: Are you going to play Relic's Space Marine at all? That game is going to be 40K nerd epic-osity!

its a WIP but you've finished everything? well sounds great

No. I am nowhere near done. In fact, I have added very little in the way of actual game content, mainly due to my hard drive being super derpy. :dry.gif:

This mod is one of the greatest mods out there and you have my full support.

I do have a few suggestions though:
You have mentioned clay soldiers being able to search for their colors of wool and look in chests in future so
maybe make order flags? The soldiers would either move, attack, guard, or flee from the flags.

Just a suggestion, keep up the great work!

Vechs, the chickens at the Home of Victory are extremely annoying (and probably programed to give you cancer or eat you :iapprove: ). Legendary is as a whole awesomely over the top.
Also, was I the only one who thought
the farm in east commons was just a little too nice? The Super Hostile maps as a whole are sometimes cheap, but come on man! That was just mean.
And its probably just going to get worse, ain't it? :dry.gif: *sigh*

    Haha SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE
But a lot of things would be problematic in space, such as gathering food, or wood, or ores or even breathing!

    Pff. Breathing is for wimps.

Well, sandstone can only really be found near the surface, I don't see any point in adding sandstone tools to Underground survival, but maybe I could start a desert survival mod...

As for the nether - there are a lot of amazing Nether Survival mods, and I don't feel like trying to compete with them :tongue.gif:

Desert survival would definitely be the next logical step (unless you add space to make a SPACE survival mod :Notch:)
