Okay so i was playing a giant noteblock circuit thing (which makes a full blown song) and i couldn't hear note blocks from about 10-20 blocks away; that's pretty much it...
Q: My friends can't connect to the server. There are a few things that can cause this issue, so before making a post read through the following troubleshooting tips and see if they work.
The number one issue that causes this is ports not being forwarded. This must be done inside the router, which you must have administrative access to. Generally to configure your router you can typehttp://192.168.1.1 into your browser, although this may differ between routers. To find out how to forward in your router you can use http://portforward.com, You can usehttp://www.canyouseeme.org/ to check if the port is open.
The next big issue is giving out your local ip address instead of your external ip address. If you are unsure of your external ip address you can use http://myipaddress.com
The lesser found issue is that there is not an exception in your firewall to allow the port to be accessed. If you are using windows this can be an easy fix, if your are using linux it can be slightly more difficult. Please use the following links to learn how to add an exception.
Trying to fix what? The servers are working perfectly..., thus there's not much to fix about the servers.
I'm considering your portforwarding IP has changed. Triple check your command prompt IP and the one you portforwarded. Happens to me something as well, changes from 192.168.*.4 to 192.168.*.7 or something.
I already checked, it hasn't changed. This is becoming a progressing problem if someone doesn't fix notch is going to have his hands full that's all im saying.
Sorry, but i made my server the normal way port forwarding, downloaded server exe, no hamachi, server making mods or no-ip. It worked fine but Mid-April bout 1-2 weeks after 1.2.5 it stopped working a extreme number of people like me are also having this problem! I just want to know if this is intentional or something went wrong, but most of all I just want to know if their trying to fix this or not.
Sometimes the ip to your computer will change, go to whatismyip.com to see if your IP is different then before. If that is not the problem I can try to offer additional help, if you would like it. If so add me on skype: Jackbtroop62 is my username
No, it's just that something is wrong with minecraft, everyone is having this problem. EDIT: Im getting very angry about this and might want my money back!
I will take note of the possibility of a hoax, but there is some truth to this. Also your home connection probably has protection against Ping flooding, which is much different when compared to a SYN Flood.
When you think about other groups, such as Anonymous, they too take down large sites using DDOS.

Ok so look iv'e not been able to get my external ip to work for a while now (since mid-April) and i just wanna know, what's going on is it a minecraft issue because iv'e got no problems ip wise and yes i know you've all probably have been hearing all about this latley so i just wanna know whats going on... and one more thing, i made a big city and when it's night (in minecraft) and i turn the server on a horde of zombies spawns where ever there is just a tiny bit of darkness so what's that all about? but anyway plz help me as much as u can it would mean alot.
