    Ahh! Can't wait to try out 1.10, though I'm waiting for a couple more mods to get there too. I'm pumped!

    I dunno, are you sure? I thought in some of the newer versions the line of sight was changed so that they literally have to be looking at you to 'see' you.

    That would mean, all the places that BadMurphs have found spider strings (and corpses with the help of a mod), would have very high ceilings?

    That's be out of the ordinary....
    BadMurphs added that strings were also found in tiny tunnels...no way they would have fallen to their death there either, suffocating would make more sense.

    The version you are playing might make a difference, as Rodabon asked...though personally I have no clue about spider's behaviors in all versions.

    I started playing MC just a few months ago.

    And if all fail welll...you have a Spiderpandemic going on.


    Agreed, falling doesn't sound like a super sensible option, if just because of the wide variety of areas I've found spider remains in. I'm leaning more towards suffocation, but.... why? Lol.

    I'll tell you if I find out anything else!

    Oh, yeah, sorry I didn't make that clearer! The corpses are the purpose of the mod-- I just wasn't actually sure it was spiders before, but now I know it is, 'cause there are dead spiders around every corner. xD


    Idk, that could be it, but I'm also finding them in tiny little tunnels I've never set foot in before. I dunno, do you think maybe they're suffocating somehow?

    (I'm not sure if this is actually a bug (no pun intended) so I'm putting this thread here. My apologies if it should go anywhere else!)


    Alright, so this has been going on a while. Sometimes I would be exploring new caves and come across random string lying around-- I thought it might be spiders dying for no apparent reason, but wasn't sure of this.


    Well, now I've downloaded the RPG loot mod and the spider problem has definitely been confirmed.

    See attachment for an example of what I literally found just lying around upon entering an unexplored cave. Spider corpses everywhere! There were even two more in a tunnel just around the corner!


    I'm not super concerned-- I don't really have an affinity for giant spiders that jump me when they see me. I'd just like to know what's happening to them, because this is kind of weird and kind of funny :D Are they falling from heights? Murdering each other? Exploding spontaneously!?

    I did find that shortly after posting this, but it adds so many features that I'd rather not have.

    It's well-designed, for sure!

    It's just a little bit more than the simple cooking thing I was looking for.

    The furnace already has a perfectly good function, but it's a little clumsy/unrealistic if you're trying for a survivalist or wanderer-type game.

    Something that functions like the furnace but has the appearance of a campfire, cooking pot, or anything similar would be absolutely amazing!

    I'm not sure what to suggest in order to fix this, but I've noticed that all my guards are marrying off really fast and leaving the village un-protected. In addition, I think this is preventing more guard spawns because they're still technically counted as guards. Would it be possible to have a config option for whether married guards stop patrolling/fighting?

    So I had a female villager named Otha and a male villager named Sagremor, who together gave birth to the male villager Aart.

    One day, Sagremor got physically pushed out of the house (I'd put too many villagers in it) and tragically was overtaken by 2 skeletons, leaving Otha unmarried.


    All well and dandy, until Otha married Aart.


    Granted I've got a bit of a medieval theme going on here, but, um, I don't think that's supposed to happen. :lol:


    edit: Haha, oh great, I just noticed that Otha's carrying around a baby now!

    (the target was a witch on the other side of the village who wasn't even in the archer's line of sight. Whoops! Lol. First problem like this I've come across, fortunately.)

    I actually don't know if this happens in any of the newer versions, since it's been quite a while since I've seen it, but I once had an issue with guards flocking to certain specific parts of the village because there was a monster-filled cave below them, and apparently they were trying to fight them despite not being able to see or reach them. Could that be it? Again, not sure this still happens, so just spitballin' here.

    Started a new world on creative mode, had the crystal ball in my inventory as usual. Went to go use it, selected 'none of the above,' and the structure disappeared except for the bedrock! Everything else went fine, though.

    Hi! This is actually Vilklaith with my new username if anyone remembers me lol.


    So today I came across an issue where the crystal ball setup thing actually left behind its bedrock. I've used this mod plenty and this is the first time it's happened, so it doesn't seem to be a persistent issue-- it was just mildly humorous :lol: Not sure if this is bothersome enough for you guys to take a look at, but thought I might mention it and see!

    Just wondering, what kinds of paths do the guards follow and/or how do they determine where to spawn/walk?


    I started out on creative and built this for myself, spawning some villagers in the middle, including a couple guards--


    ... then I found a guard that spawned all the way out here:


    And then, even further out, I found one of my ORIGINAL guards-- she'd wandered all the way over here!


    I don't really mind, but just out curiosity, what's making them do this, in the context of my starting building?
