    So we're gonna release the modded server stuff pretty soon hopefully. Maybe add some 1.8ish stuff sometime. The important part is that we need people to test things.

    The server is pretty much no rules. Pvp is on, hacking kind of ruins the point of testing, so yea, just don't be a complete jerk. You'll notice we added some stuff such as shops in towns, and you can learn all that junk together. Have fun killing each other!

    Yay, its time for another "reply to like 20 posts with one cause i'm lazy" response/post/update.

    I'd like to start it off by saying thank you all for downloading, and that photobucket is a ****.

    Secondly, before i say anything that is actually substantial, I'd like to just update you one our lives, and how it'll effect mod stuff. Well, we're pretty much just two people now, and we're both crazy busy. Minor stuff gets done on the weekdays, but the weekends are when we'll really be able to fix stuff, add game awesomeing things, as that is when we can actually talk. That said, i have no clue when an update will be out, but hey, we're working on it.

    Bugs: I'm not so sure about the save corrupting and level starting and crashing but uh, i think its been good for most people? I'm really not sure why it would do that.

    Snowballs and the like. We forgot to test that, damn. The problem really comes from not our mod itself, but the recompiling being weird with stuff and making unedited stuff break and... we're workin on that stuff. Mod tools breaking kinda sucks, but we're so damn dedicated we're making our own.

    Arbitrary subtitle:
    Leveling and experience will get balanced a bit more, not sure when, but it will.

    Snow. Yea, i guess we could make it melt.

    Modloader:
    Please read our reasoning before bashing the decision. We will not make this modloader compatible, nor will we ever. It's not that we're lazy, or want our mod to be the one true mod, its that modloader isn't gonna work with our mod. Modloader prevents mod collisions, and is really good for some mods. An example would be a mod that adds mobs and a few items, maybe some blocks. Modloader allows for a hypothetically limitless addition of mobs, but items and blocks, not so much. This is because mobs by default use their own pictures, and are added on quite easily, but items and blocks use item.png and terrain.png respectively. Modloader prevents collisions, but is limited by the size of these pictures. It might seem like we haven't added alot of items, but in reality, we've added over 100. Every single spell is technically an item, thats how it works with its own inventories and the like. Our mod is honestly too damn big to work with modloader. I personally hope to make this mod good enough that it will be worth sacrificing other mods for it, but i also understand the want to play other mods with it. What does this mean, really? This means that our mod won't be able to make friends with other mods for a while, but someday, if school permits, we'll make our own type of modloader.

    THE FUTURE:
    So, multiplayer support will be added in the update after the next update. That update will pretty much be adding multiplayer.

    The next update will be content, and hopefully a few tweaks. By content i mean towns will have npcs such as traders, bankers, etc, new blocks, new mobs, new dungeons, new items, new everythings. New everythings for all. It'll be awesome.

    So I've looked through people's comments and questions, so here's a quick answer whatever thing. (I'm tired)

    Old saves: This will work with old saves. Technically, you get less spells in this because you don't get free spells for leveling both things, but that's just because we kinda... forgot... but we'll add some more points.

    Lack of videos: The internet just gets more demanding doesn't it. First its "no pics, no dl" and now its "no vids, no dl". Looks like we'll have to make some videos. There will be an in-depth video on how to use commanding stuff because some of it is complicated, but it'll be worth learning. Someday I will make a video, probably more, showing all 67 non command spells.

    Lack of info: I haven't been home in a while so yea. I'll do it when i can!

    Installing: Put contents in minecraft.jar, delete meta-inf.

    Other: Super speed acts kinda funny, like you cannot change direction while in air. Will be interesting on finally changing that. We reduced the strength of maneaters but it seems the distance they can pull is a little ridiculous, so we'll add a limit to that. Shouldn't be too hard.

    So... update. I got it right here, but I don't have the time to write up a full description of everything thats in it, but i'll try to give a quick summary:

    Enchanting: You can make enchanted swords. Make an enchanter by crafting in a workbench a plank in each corner and jade between them with the center empty. In the fuel part of the enchanter put jade, amethyst, and painite. Better gem = better enchantment. Then put in the top, netherrack, water bucket, snow block, empty bucket, and gunpowder, to make a fire, water, ice, air, and explosive enchantment. Then use those as fuels to enchant metal swords. Don't stack enchantments of different level or it'll take the lowest level one(will be fixed).

    Mobs: Added vampire, and implemented evil wizards that spawn in wizard towers. The towers happen a bit too often, but we'll fix that soonish. Emptying a wizard tower of wizards makes it spawn servitors that i don't know how to use, but there will be a youtube video later by pi_max that explains it.

    New spell system: You'll get points for all the levels you gained, and you spend them in the trees you want. This will be explained more in depth later.

    Bug fixes: Pretty much everything graphical, everything has names now, nerfed some things, probably alot of other things i've forgotten atm.

    Thank you guys for the support and saying how much you love this mod. Your support is what really gives us that extra motivation to make this mod even greater than it is already.

    To all of you who have had downloading problems with filesmelt, I added a link to download with mediafire(helpful?).

    So right now I'm in development of super dungeons. They are basically dungeon crawl areas with lots of rooms and loot. The deeper you go, the better the loot, and the harder it hypothetically gets. Super dungeons can range from 2 deep (lame) to 6 deep (epic). So here it comes:

    QUESTION(S) OF THE DAY
    When exploring a dungeon that will probably make you regret being born, what sort of loot would make this worth it/ help you along your way? What are some ideas for epic items? All suggestions will be considered if they fit the theme were going for, aka we will not have handgrenades or lightsabres, but we might have a sword that sets things on fire. If you're idea is cool and unique enough, we might even drop your name onto the special thanks.

    So, just to let you guys know, I've read every post(except AndySwi's, I swear I will get to that and give you a detailed response), and am documenting all the bugs you guys find. Also, if you're having problems with dl or figuring out magic, either reading messages I've already said or the main post should clarify those things.

    Question, vote-ish kind of thing: New mob, vampires. What should they wear?

    Stay in a forsaken biome(they're marked by nether-rack) during night. There will be no shortage of mobs to kill.

    They teleport you to the nearest teleporter that has the name "TP". Also this teleporter should have no destination(second line should be empty in assigner).

    Um, build the teleporter like the picture. It should take 5 of the main blocks and 1 of the sign looking ones at the top. You edit the top block like a sign. The first line is the name of the portal. The second is the name of the portal you want it to go to. You start the portal with fire(i forgot to say that before).

    -Perhaps a way to carry mobs? Or at least more tamable mobs.
    -A 'Grow' spell that basically is bone meal on plants.
    -Perhaps when mobs are summoned, make them friendly? And there for limited time?
    -MOAR MOBS PLZ? Perhaps vampires and/or werewolves. Oooh! And if you can, make them enemies!
    -Maybe add wands? Less durability and power, but can be crafted in a pinch.
    -I would LOVE a way to craft ringmounts. Or at least make them a teensy bit more common.
    -Maybe add signs in villages? Kinda creepy ones or ones that lable what the buildings are?
    -Make those goddamn ice elementals rarer.
    That's about it! Thanks for considering!

    Oh yeah, change the sounds to be original xD, like make it so the ice elementals don't sound like the thunder ones, and mummies don't sound like spiders.

    EDIT: The temp. block spell is completely worthless, the light spell does the exact same thing.


    Textures may be a difficult fix thing, we honestly might try to fix the other things first and get some more content. That sounds cool right? The other things are quite fixable, and will be fixed, although maybe not underwater buildings, cause i think its cool. Graveyards will be moved though.

    Perhaps we'll add a tame spell. Probably will have a limit to current pets based on level. I guess we could add a grow spell(seems like we'll be adding quite a bit of spells). I'm glad to see you enjoy there being more mobs. We actually have a couple more that just aren't implemented in the game yet like wizards and golems which will spawn at wizard towers. EH, wands >.> maybe some other item, it'll be considered. With the addition of stuff like extra dungeons and buildings, it'll be easier to find ringmounts in some special chests(adventure!). Signs.. sure. Ice elementals are kind of the staple of getting ringmounts, so maybe just make their snow go away after a bit? Maybe just no snow? We don't have a sound guy, but uh, someday. And yea, we'll remove that spell then and add cooler ones.
