    Sure, I will do that if needed, but for now taking that risk is unnecessary!

    ID Resolver registers his own ids!

    I haven't tried the newest version of your mod but just in case warn the users about the issue I encountered!

    The screenshots confuse me a bit!

    I will have to w8 until I get to try the mod!(and that is after 1.4.4 or whatever version they decide to finally release has come out and all the mods I want have updated)

    I saw ShiftTheMine's review and from what I saw, I can say that the Tunneler, Wheat Farmer and Pill-Box Maker are overpowered as freak, since they create a bunch of Reinforced Steel blocks from nothing!


    I have seen automated mining mods before and they had some kind of drawback!

    Some run on fuel!

    Some need you to provide them the necessary building/mining items!

    Most of them required some time for the mining!

    Etc.

    An example I can think of is the old Mice Workers mod!

    And I do hope you will change to forge, because my sprite indexes already had pain enough during Minecraft 1.3.2, but I doubt it!XD

    Anyway, good luck with the remake of your mod, I can't w8 to try it out!


    P.S.You probably know this already, but just in case I'm telling you that Minecraft will update to 1.4.4 instead of 1.4.3!

    This is pointless!

    Mod pack updates(not just Tekkit) take too long!

    The real purpose of a mod pack is for people to be able to keep their worlds easier!


    Nowadays, compatibility has progressed far!

    With Forge and ID Resolver you can have a world far better than what Tekkit can provide!

    The downsides is that it obviously takes more time, compatibility becomes a bit harder, and keeping your world becomes extremely hard when newer versions of Minecraft come out!


    I have 90+ mods in my 1.3.2 world!(and I might have even more when Minecraft has stabilized its 1.4.* updates until Minecraft 1.5, and mods have updated too)

    That includes multiple industrial mods, plants and food, many new ores, weapons and armors, dimensions, dungeons, etc.

    And there is still room for way more than that!



    If I got this right, Equivalent Exchange and Thaumacraft are going for huge changes!

    Users might have to say goodbye at their blocks and items from these two mods at the very least!


    Wanna know what's the best mod pack anyone can make without having to worry about permissions and all that stuff?

    Make it yourself and test it enough until you are sure it's bug free!

    Create a thread where you will provide links to the mod creators' threads, step by step installation instructions including what versions of the mods they need, and a link to your configuration files!(you might even be able to have adf.ly links for your config files but I'm not sure about this)

    There, mod pack created successfully!


    P.S. And yes, as everyone said, Feed the Beast will probably make Tekkit obsolete!

    My only objection is that the recipe seems too cheap for what the item does!

    Maybe change the redstone to an ender pearl?

    More balanced and it makes more sense!

    Bedrock!

    Remove any bedrock generation!

    They get in the way of stuff people might wanna build!

    Never add Bedrock generation!

    I remember starting a new world back in beta 1.8.1!(Back then I wasn't reading the forums or the changelogs that much)

    I remember trying to generate a world that I liked and deleting it all the time because...I didn't like it!XD

    It was versions later that I read about Mojang changing the generator!

    Yeah, the current generator is boring!

    It's no longer about finding a world you like, it's more like finding the chunks/coordinates you like!(my advice is get a third party program like AMIDST, search the areas that you might find interesting and relocate your character there!If you don't like cheating that much, walk over there - portals are recommended for long distances)

    And now, let's talk about the underground/cave system generator!

    I had to make tons of bridges, stairs and ladders to be able to travel through the caves to put torches, got lost several times, so I had to dig my way up, and after so many days, I doubt I'm even halfway done!

    And all that just to get more mobs in the surface!

    Good Lord.......

    I could do something better with my time!

    Like counting the toast dust in my desk!


    Some could argue that digging through chunks of dirt and stone is boring, while searching through caves, ravines and mineshafts for your stuff is much more exciting, and you are right....but all that should be randomly generated through the map, not be all over the chunks, giving you no break!



    In any case, here's

    AznaktaX's guide on Exploring your Caves-Ravines-Mineshafts-Etc. System for Minecraft 1.4.2:



    Step 1: Get lots of resources in your house!

    No, I'm not talking about your house in Minecraft, I'm talking about your house in the real world!

    Trust me, this is gonna take a lot!

    Optional Step 2: Get Rei's Minimap!

    This is highly recommended, even you want to have a vanilla world, it's gonna save you a lot of trouble!

    Even with Rei's minimap, you will still get lost anyway, and you won't probably be able to find all the dark places or at least it won't be as easy as you think!

    Step 3: Run Minecraft

    Optional Step 4: Turn your difficulty to peaceful or be prepared to die multiple times and spend x10 the time you would normally spend!

    Step 5: Get any resources you need and also get many ladders!

    You will need the ladders to climb up the Ravines and other hard to reach places!

    Stairs are also recommended!

    Step 6: Find the place where you wanna build your house/mine/mob trap/whatever I don't care and dig your mine or enter into a cave, either one is fine, you will bump into a cave sooner or later!

    Step 7: Turn your volume down or kill all the bats!

    No, this is not an optional step, I'm dead freaking serious!

    The bat sounds will make your head blow from the headache!

    Even if you don't feel it at first, your brain can still hear the sounds!

    Step 8: Layers 10-12 are the recommended layers for mining!

    Lava lakes are on layer 10!

    You will find many diamonds and cave systems around there!

    Step 10(No, I don't know what happened to step 9): Once you find a cave/mineshaft/ravine/whatever, write down the coordinates for later or dive in right away!

    It doesn't mind when you will do it, just keep in mind that you're gonna spend many days on exploring caves!

    Step 11: Did I mention kill all the bats?

    Step 12: ???

    Step 13:





    Congratulations on reading the 13 steps of DEATH!!!! for Minecraft 1.4.2!

    Have a nice time and enjoy the suckage of the current generator!
