That looks very promising! I don't understand why you chose to make the world height over 16 million blocks but the fact that you accomplished this is quite a feat in and of itself. The earth itself is less than 20,000 meters from the bottom of the Mariana Trench to the top of Mt. Everest but maybe someone will make some sort of mod built off your mod that includes the underworld and space, LOL.

    Keep up the great work!

As the Global Moderator of Planet Random (my pen-pal from the East Coast is the Administrator), I suggest that PPNS regulars join Planet Random. It was at one point a vibrant community but activity has died down a little bit recently. We even have a section devoted to Philosophy and Current Events! Here: http://planetrandom.freeforums.org/philosophy-and-current-events-f21.html

Our main focus was on video games and we still maintain a section for video games as well as technology, TV shows, and movies as well as an off-topic section. We have more lax rules than here since most users (including all the staff) are adults now but we still do not allow links to bad things. Our rules are similar to Mod The Sims. Still there have been a couple of trollers and spammers so I had to deal with them.

I hope that we can all cooperate together and make both Minecraft Forum and Planet Random better communities.

I read the sticky thread in PPNS but I thought that since there is the technology section and at one point it also included science, it would be fine. Of course, if this thread is locked because "science is not welcome here," I will stop contributing valuable, positive, productive, meaningful, and polite posts on MCF. Science is very important and without the scientific method, computers (and most of modern society) would not exist. I will not stand for anti-intellectualism and censorship of science. As a scientist (undergraduate student), I am offended that a major website would want to remove all mentions of science!

Getting rid of discussions of politics and philosophy makes sense for certain demographics but a gaming website depends on science.

My suggestion is that the "Computers & Technology" include science. Discussion of technology is impossible without science.

OK, good! I am glad that you understand the importance of the cornerstone of civilization. Discussion of politics and philosophy can quickly degrade into bickering, insults, derailing, and flame wars so I completely understand why a kiddie forum for a kiddie game would want to put a blanket censor on a volatile subject. I expect to continue contributing valuable, positive, productive, meaningful, and polite posts on MCF for the foreseeable future.

I still play Minecraft from time to time despite being busy with undergraduate science courses and I appreciate the continued development on this game and I enjoy some of the new features.

    Thank you,

    Quote from abpop

The children were sent here by their families for a reason. You don't just send your kid on a dangerous march through the desert alone to a foreign country where they will be arrested for no reason. I doubt their families wanted to do that. It was surely out of desperation. Sending them back would be the WORST thing we could do.

    SOLUTION:

Make immigration easy. Shorten the waiting period to weeks instead of months. Don't be stingy with green cards ether. This is a problem the United States brought upon itself. After 9/11 immigration became difficult, but it targets the wrong people.

These people don't hurt the economy. They help it grow. They create new demand for products, meanwhile they work. They also pay some sales taxes and such. They actually often ARE contributing members of society, but their children will be even more so.

This is a human issue and you are on the wrong side. These are innocent people coming here for a better life, and you want to kill them. Good for you.

Why yes, there is usually a reason for persons to do things. The reason for sending children to the USA is because of a fantasy created by the public image of the current administration, exaggerated further by the vicious smugglers (coyotes). The fantasy is that the United States is a land where everyone is wealthy and that just by being there, you can live in the lap of luxury and support your family by sending them checks in the mail. Children cannot legally work so they would have to be supported by someone and more often than not, it is communities in the border states that are already strained, therefore not wanting anymore. I don't want to kill any "innocent" immigrants, that would be LeslieGilliams. The thing is that we need to send them back peacefully, with a small care package while giving a severe punishments to the smugglers and other criminals that do more harm than good here. Seeing as no one has been proven to have murdered anyone on US soil here, then none of them should be killed, but they [the smugglers] should be put on a list that prevents them entry ever again (even on as a "tourist").

Here is but one small source of information showing the real reason behind this humanitarian crisis and the monstrous persons who do this:

If the USA removed the limits of immigrants from foreign countries without lowering the standards for those who can legally immigrate to here, then we can see a huge increase in skilled workers moving here. Combine that with allowing up to double the documented refugees to come here, tighter border patrol, and stronger punishments for illegal immigrants, and the USA will see far lower illegal immigration.

I honestly think that those caught smuggling persons across the border should be severely punished (such as being denied entry into the country ever again) but at the same time, these victims (such as the children who are heard about all the time now) should be sent back to their families with a small care package and a promise that if they gain the skills needed, they can still immigrate legally here later.

It should be made easier for more people to immigrate into the USA legally and harder for those to sneak in illegally.

OK, we have a fundamental difference in opinions here. You have proven that you won't change your mind and refuse to put a good argument. We have provided sources and reasoning to back our opinions. My opinion has changed thanks to you so so now so now I fully DISAGREE with you and no no longer seriously consider your appeal to emotion.

The First Amendment (and a couple others, especially the Fourth Amendment) are already being infringed upon. If the Second Amendment is repealed, the Slippery Slope will not be a fallacy in this case.

I believe the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America should never be repealed. Once amendments in the Bill of Rights are repealed, you will know that the USA has fallen. Personally, I do not own any firearms, nor do I want to but I know several people who do use firearms, go hunting, go to ranges, and enjoy legal activities with their guns. I think it is fine for municipalities to ban certain weapons but the USA is a large and diverse country so I doubt that it will go over very well with at least half of the USA for a repeal of the Second Amendment. Anyway, there are probably more foreigners that want a repeal to the second amendment than their are actual Americans who want that.
