I'm not too happy that glitch boosters were removed (my minecart station system is pretty much bork'd at this point), but it's just like the ladder fix - it's not the end of the world. In all honestly, booster tracks work better anyway: More compact, simpler, just a bit slower. At the end of the day, this isn't something that seriously disrupts gameplay. MY WATER LADDERS, THOUGH...
In the last month, you pretty much perfected everything about the pack, and I had no more major complaints about it (except cake, I still don't like it).
And then you retextured the mobs. I liked the chicken. I liked the sheep. I liked pretty much everything. But the creeper.... You had it perfect when you made it a darker green way back when, now it looks nasty and spongy and makes me sad.

Instead of seasons, I think different 'themes' would be more fun: Things like an ambient theme with cooler colors, an apocalyptic theme with a more ashen color scheme, etc. Bland seasons would be kind of boring - you'd pretty much just have green, brown, white and....green again. Bleeeeeeeh.
You know, I wouldn't mind it if you changed the paintings, at least the 1x1 paintings. You can't tell what most of them are anyway, so why not change 'em? Here's a few ideas:
Paintings of minecraft wildlife (a creeper, a squid, a pig, etc.)
A single TNT block
Spruced of versions of other paintings, especially the 1x1 paintings. Making them more of minecraft's style would be really welcome.
A scenery picture, like lava falls or a large pit
Of course, if you're worried people don't want different pictures in a texture pack, you could just have a pack without the custom paintings and one with them - if you make any other radical changes, you could include them in that separate download as well.
You seem to be rather happy (creepy) for being alone...
I have a terrible internet connection, so I couldn't download those for like forever, but I finally could now, and...
Not bad. There weren't a whole lot of ones that took your breath away, but those nether ones definitely should be on the front page.
I've already got an idea for a conference room, this'll be epic if I can pull it off. But before I go nuts on anything, here's what I'd plan to do:
For the main screenshot of the topic (if you need one): A meeting room, with a table, some chairs, and carpeting. This might be hard to do, however, so I might instead make a small cottage as the main shot - a homely looking place to capture minecraft's feel., possibly with one or two TNT blocks sitting in front of it.
For the pack.png: An angled image of a chest, a workbench, a furnace, and a stack of dropped wood blocks on the ground next to it (the inventory item stack, not a literal block)
Also, I like the smoother cobblestone in that picture - the depth is very nice. If you could get it to look right in that way, I'd be very happy.
^ That's pretty great - maybe drain it of color a bit (a lot) to give it an ambient feel for the logo itself?
Speaking of logos and such, I'm trying to get a good background for the inventory screen and/or pack.png (for when you choose a texture pack) - I'm going for a monochrome image of a chest on the floor or something like that - thoughts?
Out of curiosity, what's the procedure for being whitelisted (one of my friends wants to join the server). I know that you play on the creative server for a while and don't act like a douchebag, but, for example - are you whitelisted automatically, or do you have to request it? What'd be the minimal requirement of playtime on the creative server to gain survival rights?
Oh, and is the survival server coming close to having its plugins updated? It's sad to log on and not see how people have died.
Since this texture pack is about to go into a sort of 'revolution,' I suppose, I guess it'd be a good time to unload some of the of suggestions I've had stored in my head.
1. Make sugar cane more lush. Right now, it looks really dried out and almost dead, while real sugar cane is much greener. I miss being able to make rain forests/jungles complete with 'bamboo' stalks everwhere!
2. Half blocks should be more distinguishable from regular blocks. Stone slabs have visible lines between each slab , while wood slabs and cobblestone slabs have no such thing. What the heck, man?
3. The herp-derp looks of squids is gone. This is a sad day in minecraft history.
4. Thats sun is looking awesome, but you should probably redo the moon to fit the sun's style.
5. Wait, lapis lazuli also has the sugary texture? Why not just give it the standard texture of any other dye type?
My opinion is that vingettes* just won't work for everything. I've never noticed a change in atmosphere with it, to be honest; to give it any effect requires a saturation makes it annoying. A real vingette actually is shading on the borders or focal point of an image, not an overlay; maybe do it like that?
*vignette: A small illustration or portrait photograph
vingette: a reduction of an image's brightness or saturation
Words?
I say that we call it the Nobody can decide on what we should do with the vignette, cobblestone, wool, wood, sun, moon, cake, tools, water, mobs, birch, sandstone, workbenches, or grass Texture Pack.
And I just realized that I edited my last post enough to have a full other post containing everything. Hooray, compression!

If you were to give the pig a bit more texture (he's looking a bit too pink there), he'd be perfect.

Also, is water still custom? I haven't had it look any different than normal since the first update with it...
