    So, uh...

    Wasn't this a gaming webcomic?

At the start, then he started "developing" (I'm using that term loosely) the characters too much.
    Quote from toast_burner

Why did he decide to touch upon such a serious matter in an incredibly stupid web comic about video games? There was no hope for it to be good, it's just plain terrible.

Again, Tim decided to "develop" the characters too much, but why they had to lose the baby is WAY beyond me, that was complete troll bait.

I am going to assume that every character died.

Unfortunately for you, Tim finally did decide to give a bit more closure to the series. The only person who dies in the regular timeline is Ethan, nothing is known about the other timeline, though. Zeke gets recognized by the Government, Lucas has a son named after Ethan with... random chick? And Lilah opens a church of gaming in honor of Ethan. I'm glad that Tim did bother to close the series a bit more.

Some of you may be familiar with the somewhat infamous webcomic, Ctrl+Alt+Del by Tim Buckley. This isn't a thread to discuss why it's so terrible, as that's pretty much established. I, for one, didn't care much about these reasons and read throughout 2009 until last week. They've been going with this huge 3-4 month story line about time travel and stuff, but at the end of it, something I definitely didn't think would happen happened. It just ended. Poof.

Now, Buckley, did say he will REBOOT it, but with a different approach. He said that now it'll be more focused on gags and videogame jokes rather than immense plots and storylines (which aren't that great to begin with). The main characters, though, WILL make a return, but just every once in a while. The "main" characters now will be the group known as the "Players' which are Player 1, 2, 3, and 4. In the original comic, they basically were just murdering videogame addicts with no development at all. Buckley DID say he was going to develop them more, but not at the extent of what he did with Ethan and Lucas (jobs, hopes, relationships, miscarriages, etc.).

I'm ok with the series rebooting, but what REALLY has me ed off is the ending. I mean, REALLY? This storyline itself is a bit too much of a stretch, with time travel and the sorts. They have to get back to the past so Zeke, their robot made out of an XBOX, doesn't enslave all humanity. What's that? They can't do it without future Ethan sacrificing himself? No problem! After all, he did help enslave all of hu-- WHAT? Future Ethan gets murdered before he can do it? No problem, past Ethan can do it!

Anyways, he pushes the button and... White screen. Flashbacks of his wife and a white screen. Oh, and there's also that little text that just says "The End". YUP! Barely any closure at all! What happens to Lucas? And Lilah? And everyone else? The whole of time and space? Does Ethan survive? Is everything ed forever? GUESS WE'LL NEVER KNOW!

As an avid reader, I can't help but feel ed at the lack of closure on the characters Buckley bothered to develop for a decade.

I just finished re-reading "Artemis Fowl: The Time Paradox" so I was interested in this thread. I think Artemis explains it quite well: "We cannot change the past, or the present, we can only change the future."
