There are people on here telling others about the XNA developers, ghosts you name it. None of that is relevant to a topic of "Minecraft XBLA Will NOT "Harsh Language" have infinite terrain"

To start with the topic should be a speculation not a dictation of people stating what they think. That is not a community but a rabble of people trying to dictate in their idea when nothing is set in stone and what has been said is over ridden with the possibility of future updates. And seeing as many of the people on here might buy that game there is a likely chance they will update it for whatever reason.

Oh, I said possibility not they WILL. Keep that in mind for people wanting to reply to that. There are very few popular games on Xbox that haven't has an update for things, eg Achievements, Network Code, New Features, Improvements to Gameplay, Bug Fixes and other various things.

In theory. Theory doesn't always translate to reality though.

Unfortunately, that's very true. I hope they have some people with a little common sense to make the port.

What is wrong with all of you people. An Xbox can run an infinite terrain game like Minecraft:
The graphics of DirectX 9 are much faster then that of OpenGL 1.

The game can use chunks to load and unload things from memory.

Programming languages these days have such good memory efficient monitoring that if coded correctly would be far superior to that of Java.

Just because they said this and that and there was a leaked version doesn't mean there snit room for improvement/change, they did say that it will be updated and because there porting it to a new language it may be that they need to start from many small things until they get it rite, look at Halo Waypoint, it can update by making an entire new game file yet your marketplace content never says that you haven't brought the latest version retaining the past license keys to files.

A Block has a maximum of 6 Sides, a flat side is comprised of two polygons. 6 x 2 = 12, make it 4 because 90% of blocks only eve show one side or none because there in the ground:
    Math Time:
    Average surface polygons for the 10000 x 10000 map = 100,000,000 x 4 = app. 400,000,000 (400Million)
Now that we have this average, any basic worker in the industry will simply apply a surface loading to decrease the polygons when blocks are connected, use a draw method to reduce the amount of polygons that don't appear on the screen.

EDIT: I just found out the Xbox 360 Can Achieve over 500Million Polygons, allowing it to render the Entire game completely real time.

So, lets say you have a 512 Block View Radius, 823550 Blocks,
    Math Time:
    823550 x 4 = app. 3,294,200
    125,000,000 - 3,294,200 = 121705800 aka The ORIGINAL Xbox doesn't even need to try.

If theirs any graphics card on the Xbox 360 that cant run over seeing as Microsoft stated that the ORIGINAL Xbox can run 125Million Polygons.
Microsoft has stated that it the Xbox is capable of displaying 125 million raw polygons per second, but in real-game conditions, reaching over 30 million polygons per second would be weclomed.

THATS THE ORIGINAL XBOX Playing over 10000x10000 Blocks!

Next is the processor, if the Xbox cant seriously run some simple at and path finding techniques, then something is wrong.

This is Minecraft, not SuperMinecraft with Halo Reach AI and Battlefield 3 Graphics with CryEngine Physics.

All sources of this come from my experience with games development and the ability to know what a Modern gaming platform is capable of.

    EDIT:
Xbox 360 Can do above 500Million Polygons

Also, The Xbox 360 can do 8Terrapixel fill rate per second.
