I am pretty certain Jack-O-Lanterns do NOT melt snow. They act like torches.
Well, if they act like torches, they should melt snow... All I know is that they shine a bit farther and can be placed underwater.

Go to the minecraft jar and delete the META-INF folder.
To get there, go to Run and type in %appdata% then click the .minecraft folder and open the minecraft jar with WinRAR. Then click on the META-INF folder and hit delete. Then try it again.
The reply button doesn't work properly (like it is majorly ****ed up) and the Quick Reply is missing. Quick Reply was like my most used feature here. Please fix it! You don't have to re-add Quick Reply, although it would be good if you did, I just want the Reply button to work!

In there is a mod for adding horses and horse saddles. You can ride a horse (and control it while riding) after you tame it.
