No, megggerzzz is right. Coming from the console versions, which just got an update that has checkboxes for "biome size"" and "balanced seed" it was much better and you could find the type of seed you were looking for easier than ever before. Now its much more random and takes longer.
I know what you are going through because I was looking for a world that has a good balance of biomes for a realm i want to start. As you noted, on many randomly created worlds, you get the same 3 or 4 biomes over and over. I flew out 12,000 blocks and still saw the same deserts, savannah, and small mixed forests, but no jungles anywhere to be seen. I spent hours searching. Found a fairly good one after 19 tries.

It has all kinds of forests except I haven't been able to find mega tiaga yet. Large mooshroom biome at 2220, 830. In the SW, a jungle biome so large you won't have any trouble getting lost in it. Nice lakes too. A small winter biome to the north. Savannas and deserts to the west. Small swamps. Large oceans. I have not been able to find a mesa yet though.
I really hope they bring back the balanced seed option.
I could be wrong MuddJester, but Mineatlas doesn't work on this version of Minecraft. It works only for the current Java edition, and Large biomes on PS4 edition, and Xbone edition.

I’m starting a survival server for people who like to mine and build, both separately and as a community. On one map of this seed I found a huge mountain range with overhangs and hollow mountains, with plenty of room to build. This seed also seems to have more elevations than most maps I have seen.
These times will be changing, so check back here often.
The Rules:
1) New players will not be able to open chests. To store materials for later, you can put a hopper above a chest.
2) New players must stay on the center map until we have gotten to know you and trust you.
3) As a new player you can build a homestead on the center map. Put a fence around your lot. Lot size is 30 x 40. Building max height 15. Put a sign with your name on it at the front gate.
4) Ways you can get kicked from the server:
- Go on someone else’s property without their permission or when they are not on the server.
- Deface or build on another players property without their consent.
- Open another players chest
- Using another player's mob spawner without their consent, or if they are offline
- Going off the center map if you are a new player
- Being disrespectful of others
5) No streaming. On a previous server I had this one guy who would talk to his followers all the time and talk over top of everyone else. He asked if he could stream if he left chat, so I let him do that for a while, but then he was almost never in chat and not contributing to the social aspect of the group. Then, after being disrespectful to another player, he was kicked.
6) Chat is for players in the server only. No outside friends.
7) No ex-ray machines or wall walking to find stuff. Try sound boarding instead.
8) No players are allowed to build on the big hollow mountains map unless told to do so by a moderator for a community project. Currently only Moderators are allowed to build homes on this map.
9) This is not so much of a rule as a pet peeve, but please do not pour water over lava, as it is a limited resource. Lava also provides light and beauty to caverns. It’s okay to use water sometimes, such as when you need to get some diamonds and it is not safe to get them without the water. Blocking up the bottoms of lava flows is also preferred.
10) To be able to have a bigger estate, you must contribute towards community projects. Mining thousands of blocks gets you there. Exploring maps and donating them to the world map building will also earn points towards this. When exploring other maps it is okay to build the occasional outpost for the community. These should have an outside dimension of 5x5 and 3 high, with a bed, chest, crafting table and furnace(s). Place torches outside or make a tower 15 blocks high so it can be seen at night. If you donate an outpost, give us the coordinates and you will earn points towards da big estate. Basically, the more you contribute, the bigger your estate.
Something else you might like to try is pixel art at the world edges. I’m going to do this myself when I get a wool farm out there.
I have experience running servers. Griefers do not last long. My moderators and I chew them up and spit them out. That said, you should always keep your best stuff in an ender chest, and hide the rest in hard to find places. I will only let 1 or 2 new people in the sever at a time.

Wow! I did not know that. Thanks MuddJester !
I had to use a scientific calculator to figure out how you got that number, lol! This will greatly speed up seed searching.
