It's not really interesting compared to other things, in my opinion.

This week in Minecraft — November 25th
Minecraft 1.2.5 has been
released, which brings Windows Mixed Reality to Minecraft, there's a new
Minecraft 1.3 Snapshot and there are some great Black Friday deals to
get your hands on.

1.2.5 and 1.3? That's really old versions.

"Thanks for all the feedback on the horse model!"
I have a feeling they don't actually read any of the comments, or they just don't care. I haven't heard anyone praise or defend the new model....
"There are currently no plans of turning back, but many tweaks moving forward"
Alright. Now, make everything look derpy, Mojang. -

It's official, the horse model is definitive. Makes me hate horses, then.

That horse model looks horrible. But a different kind of horrible than the new textures. For the horse, you just litterally compressed the model, right?

This is outrageous. You are outrageous. Yeah, I know that you're a part of Twitch now, but what will you do for people who don't care/use/like it? What's next, Minecraft Forums: Twitch Edition? (may be a good idea, idk) Just gonna do it soon because I have a Twitch account that I use sometimes. Else you're being annoying for everyone who isn't using it. Say bye to a lot of people, by the way.

This texture update creates a few problems: yep
- This is taking away nostalgia and textures that never had problems, to begin with yep
- The new textures are becoming smoother, creating more color values which in turn will decrease performance I don't get why - resolution will not change AFAIK
- The new textures seem to be becoming cleaner, which is not the interest of everyone who prefers dirty and gritty textures yep
- Changing the textures at a time like this could potentially ruin current builds that relied on the looks of the original textures yep
Although, even with all this, I'm happy that every single block will be able to fit with each other and not seem out of place. I hope that builders will be able to take advantage of the new textures to make some interesting new looks. Current MC textures aren't out of place for me.
Try to find what bold did. -

Just use a resource pack. I've told you this again and again and you don't seem to understand. You're essentially saying, "If I don't like them, nobody can!"
And here you're saying me to get a Windows XP virtual machine to make it work, however with limited functionality. I don't want to fiddle around searching through the old textures, struggle making a data pack, and having to change it at every version.

Okay, so you don't like the old textures? I like them, and I don't want them to change. It's like smashing your old functional and usable computer to get a computer with has nothing but a voice control.

I think that is what will happen. Minecraft has gone very far from the original indie game where you can do anything using cubes. Now it's the usual mobile application with micro-transactions (much like the Clash games).

People aren't wanting a lack of change. They want to keep things that don't bother them, or more stuff. They don't want stuff they see everytime, they use commonly, or simply like, to change. Did you noticed it yet?
1.8: new stuff that proven to be useful - no complains
1.9: overhaul that changes common tasks - complains
1.10: content - no complains
1.11: content - no complains
1.12: overhaul that changes one of the core systems - some complains, however less than 1.9
1.13: possible overhaul that changes everything, erasing a big part of Notch's work (you know, that apple dude?) - mixed reactions
See? If they give us a choice, I'll accept it. But if they force us again to y e t another overhaul, I'll remain on 1.11/1.12. Or I'll find a resource pack.

I don't want them. They look like someone been resizing the Faithful 32x32 textures using MS Paint. Obsidian is looking cool, but too different to replace the current texture. Maybe as a different block?

Modders that don't ask for donations are giving back to the community, which means they are "footing the bill" personally for those things you enjoy. They are going against what you said: "BTW donations are entirely OPTIONAL. You should never use them to have what someone has to offer."
I get frustrated with the general attitude towards the upcoming changes announced. The response I read on the boards is, "Oh no, no m0ar fr33 stuffs!" I've been doing "free stuffs" for Minecraft Java for years. "free stuffs" is horribly expensive.
The issue of being a child is not one of age, but of attitude. We have plenty of children in offices of political power in their 60's and 70's. When you earn what you have, give for what you wish to take, and work as best you can to leave the world a better place for you having been in it, you are no longer a child regardless of your age. It's known as "being an adult." That's what those modders are doing, they are giving to the community. They still deserve donations where they accept it and recognition for "footing the bill". We need more of these people, not less. And those people don't come from the "m0ar fr33 stuffz!" group.
Your non-native English is just fine. Much better than the "Oh n0ez, no moar fr33 stuffz" I see here on the forums, most likely by native English speakers.

Hey, it's been a real while! (I stopped playing MC.)
I'm pretty sure that everyone forgot about me by now, but hey.
Just know that I will not update my FAQ thread anymore, and I wouldn't be against a new one made by people who are still active.
Thanks everyone.

Actually, read the FAQ.

It's intended, Endermen can spawn in the Nether too, since 1.10: https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Enderman#History

Get a new computer.

What I would like is, making the mod a simple engine, and adding all the content via JSON or something external (much like Lycanites Mobs does).
This way, the mod would be much lighter, and be very flexible.

Better ignore it, in my opinion. It doesn't seem to do anything significant, anyways.

It shouldn't be able to be accessed currently. I checked using https://dinnerbone.com/minecraft/tools/status/ .

They have built-in Tinkers support.

Base/Modern Metals are two mods which add usual metals and exotic ones, nothing else.

The 1.10.2 is unsupported, as far as I know. But hey, you can still try to use it.

Well, it's the same as any dimension, blocks wouldn't be able to be placed above y=255.
