Oh, the boost, you mean the one that uses 25% of the Carrot on a Sticks durability? So you are right, you just forgot that [Sarcasm]tiny [/Sarcasm] tidbit.
Horses might become more convenient and less expensive on resources than ride-able pigs. Sure, that can be a possibilitity. However, if this is true, the horse would still make the ride-able pig redundant as players will prefer this over ride-able pigs. Like Kyte314 said, why did they bother to implement the ride-able pig when they're planning to implement a better feature that will make it redundant? Our original argument still stands.
Quote from FishScream
For example, if you see a horse, you don't have to ride it, try NOT clicking on the horse, it takes tons of work, but you literally IGNORE the horse.
I'm pretty sure a number of us who didn't like the horse idea have already said "what we NEED in the game". And no, it's hard to ignore the fact that there is a redundant feature in the game.
I really like to think that there's more to this picture than the horse. Seriously guys, hasn't Jeb already tried posting cryptic pictures to reveal upcoming features in the past before? Can this picture be possibly one of those?
And again, for those who are arguing against "haters" -- there's a difference between complaining irrationally/ignorantly, and criticizing rationally. We only wish to identify what might be the problem so it can be corrected, and we can do so without some negative emotion like hate attached to it at the same time. We don't "hate" horses. We just don't see how it should be implemented when we already have the ride-able pigs. If horses are to be implemented, there should be more to it, like limits, so that there are still some advantages to riding a pig than riding a horse. I can't think of any good limits for the horses at the moment, but if they could come up with something really good we're up for it. If you guys think we're wrong, you should've come up with a good rational argument other than calling us haters, and hating us for being haters.

Some had mentioned that OptiFine may need a rewrite to be compatible with 1.13.2 Forge.

I think the eyes are too big.
If my memory serves me right, the upward rain texture was an MCPatcher thing. They were flipped in-game.
Edit: Never mind what I said. Haha. It was older versions of Minecraft, not MCPatcher. More recent versions have the texture flipped.

Has anyone, by chance, saved the old alternative player skins Misa made in the Alpha/Beta days?

If I recall correctly, the overlays Misa made would make the Snow Golem's Pumpkin head invisible, showing only the custom heads she made. Maybe a feature MCPatcher had that OptiFine doesn't? I can still see the overlays in the optifine folder of the Updated pack.

Are Misa's Snow Golem overlays possible w/o MCPatcher? I kinda miss seeing those snowman faces without having to shear the pumpkin off.
Also, do you guys know about LB Photo Realism Reload! I find that its mob textures go well with this pack.

Update:
Gave the Mojang logo I made a faint, dark red glow like Misa's—

A mini patch with updated Mojang logo + the Java Edition logo on the main menu removed—« https://goo.gl/fdxijX ».

I've replaced Misa's Mojang logo with the latest official logo but with the same colors she used:
The above image was uploaded to Imgur which (if I'm not mistaken) doesn't compress .png's, so you guys can just copy/save it.

It looks like AdF.ly's ads have become more malicious. I'm sure most of us are not dumb enough to fall for them, but I do miss the friendlier/harmless ads it had back then. Is there a better alternative, tho?

My apologies. Haven't been active in these forums for more than a year now. The last version I played/modded was 1.7.10. The textures were just something I quickly came up with on GIMP for a quick test run of 1.13 before my relative asked for her PC back. Lol. Not having your own PC sucks. It's nice to see the community still updating this
textureresource pack.@Bidjiguks: Those seem like the ones I remember, and they look much better. Should I still make mine a patch? Lol.

I made degraded textures for Misa's bat-like Wooden Sword using the latest community pack's as the base.

DL link (with the pristine texture included): « http://www.mediafire.com/file/sddcf6uk64bwb9i ». Extract the .zip's contents into assets\minecraft\textures\item.

Are there degraded textures for the original bat-like wooden sword? I honestly prefer it over the sword-like one. Lol. I vaguely remember that someone made some, but I'm too lazy to look through countless pages for them.
Edit: Never mind. Looks like they never were any. I'll still switch to the bat, anyway. Lol.

I honestly haven't heard of BetterBeginnings before I saw this thread. I just tried it out and it looks like the TerraFirmaCraft alternative a friend was looking for. Very nice mod.
Like The_catacylsm said, it seems most of these can be achieved with BetterBeginnings and ModTweaker.

It seems this is most likely an issue with Avira AV. My friends who were also using Avira AV told me they also ran into the same problem. We scanned our PCs with other anti-malware, like avast!, AVG, COMODO and ESET, and we really couldn't find anything. I've also rechecked the status of my submission to Avira Virus Lab. It still says "known clean".
For now, I'm sticking with AVG, Malwarebytes and Windows Defender. I didn't like how Avira AV handled the whole thing.

@AwesomeAhmed: Try checking the hard drive Windows is installed in (it's usually "C:"). If there's a folder named "Windows.old", your files are likely in there.

Had to get rid of Avira AV in my PC as well.
After I downloaded a fresh copy of the MC launcher, I kept receiving notifications from the AV saying it blocked/quarantined it, but for some reason the launcher was still in my downloads folder. Whenever I tried to open my downloads folder, File Explorer kept freezing. I tried deleting the MC launcher via Command Prompt (elevated), but it kept saying "access denied". Disabling real-time protection didn't help. After uninstalling the AV and restarting the PC, I was finally able to delete the MC launcher.
The AV did more harm than the supposed malware itself. I'll just stick with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and Windows Defender, and wait for Avira or Mojang to sort this out.
