Once again am I looking forward to updating! I remember 1.0, 1.3, 1.5, and 1.7 as the updates I was most excited about. Llamas warm my heart.

Technodefirmacraft offers an excellent challenge suited perfectly for me. It's about long-term survival, working with brutally challenging yet rewarding mechanics, and technological prowess. The game rewards you for playing for a long time.

For those who are complaining about the short development cycle, I'm pretty sure it's Plugin API stuff.

As a server owner myself, drawing in players isn't an issue. It's keeping your regulars. If your server gets too big, it'll be frustrating for players and admins alike (I run vanilla survival). I don't really use plugins (all grief, all the time) so it's really about building that mature community. Find actual friends, and then invite them to your server.

PlunderSeas isn't EULA-compliant. I probably wouldn't be advertising it on the front page.

Always find a cave.
Search every passage for ores.
Don't get yourself lost.
Haiku not withstanding, I mine for about an hour, and then use the resources to let my IC2 miner take care of it for me. Until, at least, my reactor goes supercritical... NRC's got nothing on me.

May 22, 2012Astrodude1789 posted a message on Testificates, You Are Minecraft & MoreA few questions. Bear with me, readers.Posted in: News
1) Will this eliminate nonrenewable resources, meaning that I can make a cobblestone generator, trade 2 stacks of cobblestone to a villager and get enough coin to buy myself a new diamond sword?
2) Could I use this as a manipulation tool for trading, i.e. nobody would trade 3 stacks of cobble for a diamond, but they would trade the equivalent currency amount of 3 stacks of cobble for a diamond?
3) Will this kill iConomy, or will they just convert currency to iConomy points?
4) Why do they need more armor or weaponry in Minecraft? There's no room for attack differential, and pre-enchantment sounds kind of pathetic, and diamonds are already supposed to be the best weapons/tools/armor in the game. It'd kind of ruin it for me (I like the idea of Ruby ore as a currency and several other uses).
5) Does anybody have any pie they want to donate?
Thank you for bearing with me. You win a free breath. -

We have Steve, we have villagers, and we have Alex. We have Steve zombies and villager zombies, but no Alex zombies. I suggest an Alex-like zombie. There's already been a few suggestions like this (I've included two with images) but I'm just bringing it back up since we're heading towards another round of snapshots.

Personally, I've been bored of survival for years. That being said, I rediscovered survival using the TerraFirmaCraft mod. Put it this way: you knap rocks to make tools, getting a basic (copper) pickaxe requires a day or more, getting iron is an achievement, diamonds are useless, and steel is king. I've spent in-game weeks on a house, days building a storehouse to put food for winter, and a month exploring a new island south of mine. It's a harder game, but a very rewarding one.
I'd recommend TechnodeFirmaCraft if you're into tech and TerraFirmaPunk if you're into magic.

Make sure you credit people where credit is due. Required for creative commons and generally a nice thing to do.

Empires
Who we are:
Empires is a ropleplaying experience in a world founded in technology and innovation. We run a custom version of TerraFirmaCraft, TechnodeFirmaCraft, with many other mods intertwined to enhance gameplay. Since TFC is a complete overhaul of Minecraft, it provides a more challenging experience than vanilla, even for veteran players, while adding believablility and complexity to the progression. The Empires mod pack, like Technode, is based around long-term progression and rewarding gameplay. I'm looking to enhance this by creating a server of nations and towns, allowing players to work together and participate in a world.
What we need:
We need builders, NPC scripters, engineers, and writers. I'd like to have two nations by release in December with around 7 cities each, with each nation having a capital metropolis. We'll need quests and progression systems for players as well. Even if you have a suggestion for a character, shop, town, or mechanic, please submit it!
How you can help:
Fill out this form:

Are you familiar with TFC?
Are you familiar with FTB?

Other Notes:
Please, no suggestions on what mods I should add or how I should change the gameplay before you're on the team. Afterwards is completely fine.

US copyright law covers just that: copies. You're definitely allowed to draw inspiration from other maps (it has to be a 10% difference for a patent, not sure whether a map would fall under a patent or copyright). So long as you don't earn revenue from the map you'll be fine.

I'll do it. PM me; I ran servers for a small company for a year and a half.
Edit: sent PM.

OP, are you still taking submissions?

This is a well-thought-out suggestion. OP seems active in updating his post as well, so props to them. I've never been a big magic user in Minecraft, aside from potions, but I'd enjoy using a system like this. Might make the altar a little more expensive, but that's just my opinion. Otherwise, I'd support a system like this since it's original and seems like it'd be useful.

Currently the polls are about 2:1 male-to-female. As an instructor at a Minecraft camp, I saw more boys than girls in my camp; however, I don't think that it was an accurate representation. Just my thoughts.

Why you want to join the "Trade Dynamics Bartin" (TDB): I heard intellectuals and was very excited.
What you can bring to the "table" of the "Trade Dynamics Bartin" (TDB): Theoretical particle physics, game theory, tactical strategy, social strategy, skill with a bow, and fancy building skills. Also a legit top hat.
