    Quote from Dormentality

This would open up the possibility for players to place beacons inside of other people's bases, and would be exploited for griefing. While this would make a very nice bukkit plugin, as a powerful griefing mechanic it should not enter the vanilla game. Unless you can fix this,

Not a bad idea, however, why not just make it go by the arrow that has a lower number inventory space?

Agreed- if this idea was implemented, I'd outfit any and all aquatic warriors with them.

    My character,
    Name:Menahtor
    Age:18
    Class:Mechanic
Chosen Deity (If not, put "None"): A'thery
Expertise:Building air-based mechanical companions. actively uses a heavily-modified burst-gun as his main weapon.
Weapon: Menahtor actively uses a heavily-modified burst-gun as his main weapon.
Appearance: Burly young man, with a short stubble, fairly tall, with a somewhat lanky appearance. Wears an old grey long-sleeve shift (usually rolled up), with an old faded hunting vest over top, with many pockets containing different mechanical components. A wrench hangs from a tough-looking belt 'round his waist, and battered cargo pants cover his legs. He wears a pair of think-lens glasses.
Bio (If long, put in spoilers): Menahtor, the son of a long line of tinkerers and craftsmen, was born in a small village, known for it's huge "junk" yard, which the inhabitants frequently visit for parts. Unlike the rest of his family, he learned to love airborne creatures, and the more he observed them, the more he learned to create mechanical versions. When the Tainted were first encountered, the village made makeshift walls, which have strangely held back the creatures. Determined to help the rest of the world, he left the village, with the scatter-gun his father gave him, and his loved ones in his heart.
He travels with his hovering robotic friend, Icarus, and together, they strive to purge the lands they knew of the evil that reside in them.

posted a message on spawners are unbreakable
    Quote from Litargirio

No, they're not. There are hundreds of dungeons in each world, so there is no point in keeping more than one or two of each type.

Bedrock is a map limit. That's the only reason why it is not breakable, and the reason why no other block has the same properties.

If you can already deactivate a spawner by placing a single torch on top of it, what is the "extra level of difficulty"?

This annoying, and useless. No support.

I Support the idea, but what I'd really liek is the re-balancing of the armor statistics- diamond armor shouldn't nearly be as protective as it is.

posted a message on Craftable Chainmail and Silverfish Scales
    Quote from Kholdstare

Not terribly useful... You may have implemented an armor tier before iron, but it becomes obtainable at the same time you get iron... and iron is very easy to come by. You'll never end up using chainmail for long, as you'll find enough iron for actual iron armor quite quickly after you get enough iron for chainmail.

The only other thing this idea suggests is player-only ladders, but I find that mobs rarely ever use ladders.

Better idea: scrap chains, make the current iron armor recipe craft chainmail instead of iron armor, and make iron armor require the corresponding piece of leather armor to craft. Bam, balanced and doesn't leave you with a relatively useless item.
I like this idea. Maybe have leather armor have a base for iron, gold, and diamond, whilst chainmail is not requiring it? That would make it useful!

posted a message on Soulsand use!
    Quote from Badprenup

You seem to have a nasty habit of saying an item is useless then ignoring all of the uses of the item.

Like the fact that Soul Sand is essential for growing Netherwart, which brewing is impossible without. You also severely disregard the uses of the fact that it slows you down, as it can be combined with Ice, Water, and Slime Blocks for a variety of redstone devices and mob traps, including TnT cannons. It also reduces damage done to boats when crashing, which can keep your boat from breaking. Finally, it is used for the Wither and is therefore essential for Beacons.

As for actually responding to the ideas, ZTick has me covered. I agree with them.
