    Hi again guys,

    Abyssalcraft also adds some bosses. It does require some in-depth commitment though.

    Infernal mobs adds a few enchantments to mobs' strength, so they might be faster, or apply wither effect, or slow you down etc. Although not boss mod, this could be used to make an ordinary mob into boss (or make an existing boss even more challenging, that is if you have a deathwish c: )

    Hi again,

    Which version are you using?

    I know a few mods that add bosses. Challenging or not, mostly based on player.

    Twilight Forest, Divine RPG, Advent of Ascension, Erebus, Harshen Castle (adds 1 i think?), The Betweenlands (not sure, just heard, but didnt play it myself) and I think Botania has one super challenging boss, but not sure on that one, didn't play around with Botania.

    I'm not an adept in these kind of things, but try: removing one of the mods and see if it works.

    If it doesnt, try removing the other and adding the first one back.

    Let me know what happened and if it works, we can look at the things from there.

    I think mod called Avaritia adds what you're looking for.

    Armor protects from all types of damage, even /kill command.

    But its also very end-gamy.

    Hiya everyone,

    It has been a while since I've last played minecraft. Namely this world that I've abandoned :p.

    Anyway, I'm returning to play, not sure for how long.

    I need help with few things.


    1) Is there a mod adding quantum armor counterparts for Thermal Expansion or Mekanism? Preferably latter mod, since I love it and know it better. I've been looking for: Modular Powersuits mod, but couldnt find it (maybe I didn't search well enough?). The mod doesnt have to be as modular, just simple armor that is powered by RF. I got tired of adding IC2 to my minecraft, just for the quantum armor and Vajra. I've looked into Draconic Evolution and Avaritia and they seem a bit too end-game-ish for me. I usually don't hang around in one world for more than several weeks. Darksteel armor seems okay-ish, but not quite there. And I don't feel like adding Ender IO, just for the armor. Solved


    2) Any suggestions where to start in modded multiplayer? I've NEVER ever played modded multiplayer (except lan). Only singleplayer or vanilla multiplayer. Maybe suggest a modpack/launcher thingymabob? I've found the twich launcher and it looks decent, but not sure which modpack to start from. Oh, and let me know if you want to play, none of my friends play minecraft, mostly MMOs or some MOBAs. Solved


    3) Regarding #2, I am not fan of some mods, so I usually construct my own packs instead of using readily available ones. Do you know a pack that would contain base stuff, like forge + some utility stuff? So that I could add stuff there, by my own. Solved


    4) There was a mod adding energy powered tools for buildcraft specifically. It probably wasnt updated in a long time, but I want to at least find the old version. It had 3 tiers of armor, all crafted in that laser assembly thingymabob. As for tools, Chainsaw for axe and Jackhammer for Pickaxe iirc. Any ideas? The name or anything would be helpful. Solved


    5) Could you please suggest me any neat mods? I love Mekanism, Agricraft, Tinker's Construct, Minechem and Twilight forest. I like Thermal Expansion, Ender IO. I am not a fan of Botania, Thaumcraft, Blood Magic and other magic mods in general. I hate bees, please no bees T_T. My preference order: RPG>Tech>Utility>Magic


    6) Since I've been living under a rock for so long, and missed the signallum nerf on TCon, could you share your optimal crossbow+bolts, bow+arrows and shuriken builds? I run most of the metals. Tcon+Osmium, Platinum, Refined Obsidian, Refined Glowstone, Titanium, Natura Woods, Steel, Zinc, Electrum.


    7) Thanks for anyone that made it this far, and apologies for asking so many questions at once, heh :D. Regarding TCon again, is there a neat way of pouring metals out? I tried working on clocks, timing exactly how much it takes for 144MB etc, but its too tedious, and takes a lot of space. Solved


    8) Regarding #5, I love mods that make you work on small stuff for a long time. Agricraft, spending time on getting perfect 10/10/10 crops + making hybrids and Minechem, working on splitting stuff and assembling required items and systematizing it. Any mods that come up to your mind, similar to those? Please no bees, they give me shivers.


    9) Since I wasn't able to find minechem for newer versions of minecraft, do you know any similar mods? I regarded minechem as less cheaty Equivalent Exchange, as you aren't converting useless stuff into valuables, but similar stuff to other similar stuff. Like plants to plants, or extracting metals from armor and such and converting it into ingots.


    I think thats about it.. If I remember anything, I'll make sure to add it later, thanks in advance :)

    Hey everyone, hope you're feeling good today! :)
    There wasnt many changes today. But they sure did take quite a while.
    I've watched a mini guide on blood magic altars and built basic altar at the back of my house. For easier access i had to create a second exit from my house, which was opposite from my first one, so i moved my bed to the top floor, where my thaumcraft research station used to be.
    Initially i was sacrificing my hp and refilling it with potions to create basic runes for altar upgrading. Later on I constructed a top tier vanilla beacon next to my blood magic altar, so I could regen hp for free and sacrifice it. After considerable amount of time I upgraded my altar to tier 3.
    It might not sound like alot, but I've spent hours on this, + I'm new to this mod and spent time on little researching.

    I've already answered your previous question regarding the screenshots, the answer was at the bottom of my post, please check carefully before replying again. Maybe the problem is on your end. I checked this thread from multiple computers and asked my friends to do the same. If nothing helps, check the gallery for images instead.

    P.S. yep, just double checked, it even works on my phone.

    Hello everyone! day 9 update. :D
    To start things off, I went to a long mining session in one of my mystcraft ages.
    I was mining between y 40 and 14 using my bronze hammer for 3x3 mining and my new cobalt pickaxe with auto-smelt and fortune 3 for ores (that is the reason all the ores are in ingot forms).
    There was actually alot of coal ore down there, but I've left most of it behind. I was pretty low on space. The screenshot from my mining trip doesnt include cobble and dirt, but I may post a screenshot of my cobble storage drawer.
    With newly acquired thaumcraft shards (finally had all 6 of them), I created first silverwood-thaumic wand! I've researched alot of new stuff in thaumcraft's mod integration page. Mainly for forbidden magic and blood magic sections.
    And other than that i created myself shock wand foci and bone bow for all the combat situations when I need ranged damage.
    By the way, I remember that you could enchant wands in thaumcraft 3 for better damage and durability, does anyone know how to do that now? Not sure if its possible to apply enchantments on wand that has foci. I will try to look for it myself, but if anyone knows, please reply me.
    Slightly changed my storage sector, added a few jabba barrels and 2 furnaces, moved my book shelves.
    Also, I decided to create the farm outside. Partially because I was too lazy to dig and decorate another floor below my base.
    I also did some adventuring in runic dungeons and found another wither room. This time I included a screenshot for people who didn't play this mod.
    Later I created 3 soul shards from SSR, and used them on spawners that I left behind in runic dungeons.
    Now I have tier 5 zombie, skeleton and spider soul shards. Might be useful for blood magic, since I've heard you need mobs to sacrifice, but not sure if this is too cheaty or not. Might Just create a mob grinder and keep it away from blood magic.
    Finally, after getting the soul shards I created a little blood magic corner. Nothing too fancy, I will move it outside or below my base later on.

    Hello everyone, day 8 update ^_^
    To start things off, I went to nether! Found a couple of new things for me, for instance shards from forbidden magic (mod suggested by someone else).
    Not sure If I've mentioned it before, but I've added Botania and Forbidden magic to my client. I have no experience with these mods, so bear with me if I do something silly. During my nether trip I mined some of the more valuable ores, found nether fortress and thanks to newly accquired resources created a couple of new tools!
    A high speed fortune, auto-smelt pickaxe, shovel (will add more modifiers) and a slightly sharpened broadsword (still 4 modifiers left).
    After that I've scouted more of my magical forest mystcraft age and found a couple of artifacts in there.
    Finally I've returned to my overworld base and created basic farming golems set (harvester, planter). Couldn't do it earlier because I didnt have any soul sand. Still didn't deploy these golems, deciding on whether I want to create farm outside the base or below it. I guess If I would create it below the base, I wouldnt ever need to leave my base for food, which is nice.
    By the way, I found a rather strange recipe involving amber from thaumcraft. It allows you to create fire block, which in turn allows you to create chain armor, as most of you already know. Is it a bug? Should I send a report to the mod author? Unless that is caused by something else, and just uses amber for its forge oreDictionary names.
    Anyway, here are the screenshots:

    Hey everyone :D , day 6-7 Update (not many events occur in 1 day). Small update:
    I found a division sigil! Now I have 2 (first one from wither boss kill).
    Spent a couple of hours digging in the ground for resources. Can't find ignis and perdito shards, it is so irritating, since i need all six to progress.
    I've reasearched thaumium caps and silverwood wand base, but lack the required shards for creation. Also I am planning to create balanced shards in large numbers, so if anyone knows a very efficient recipe - share below this post or pm me please :) .
    I really recommend eneryone to have compacting drawers for storing your piles of cobble and dirt. It really saves you a lot of storage space and provides utility.
    Finally I've installed some arcane allembics and furnaces below them. I've also faced a problem where my essentia pipes didnt connect to allembics, but did connect to warded jars, so I had to collect aspects into jars manually. If anyone knows what is wrong, again answer below or pm me.
    Tip: Use some kind of item magnet during mining, it not only saves items if there is lava below, but also saves you time by not having to walk closer to pick them up.

    Hey everyone ^_^ , Day 4-5 update. I decided to combine these 2, since nothing interesting happened on day 4, I was just trying to get perfect mystcraft world for resources.
    Firstly I created an age with magical forest biome (yay!), and this opened new opportunities for me: greatwood, silverwood, magic beans, pech traders etc. It looks like checkerboard (because i used tiled biome distribution), I will include screenshot of a map, so you can see what I mean. In this particular world I also found sinister node, not sure if crimson cult will spawn there, or its just around obsidian totems, someone answer this below pls. And finally I found a single Artifacts dungeon, loot screenshot below (pretty mediocre loot).
    Also while exploring runic dungeons I found wither boss room (people who played this mod will know what I mean, unfortunately no screenshot for this). And after beating wither I got myself divine sigil and wither star, which I used for belt of fligth. Although I feel like its a bit cheaty, I decided to use it only for construction utilities and will get myself thaumcraft jetpack thingy.
    Also a tip for all novice thaumaturges out there, don't throw out the potions you get from loot bags, analyze them first (and hold on to healing potions, they have pretty nice aspects).
    There is also a separate screenshot of my aquarium, I just wanna point out that decocraft is very nice mod to make your world more detailed.
    After researching more things in thaumcraft (btw the connect aspects minigame is so exciting), I unlocked infusion, and dug 1 more floor below my tinkers'/storage room. It is dedicated to thaumcraft (so i moved my research stuff away from top floor). Planning to do botania and blood magic, but not making any promises. I literally didnt play botania at all, and for blood magic I just messed around with tier 1 blood sphere, so yeah... I am more of a tech and rpg person.
