The Rosesters and Jungle Spiders seem to be giving me an Exception in world tick upon spawning through the Spawn Eggs in creative menu; I re-configured their Entity IDs to 254 and 255. If you don't mind me asking, what was the default for them? And is there any chance we'll be able to disable or configure them further?

I can second the Lizalfos lag. No idea why, but I have noticed it in my worlds. Haven't really noticed it with other mobs though.
I would also -love- some kind of configuration files for nitpicking spawn depths/biomes/whatever you might decide on letting us alter.
Infernal Mobs tends to make some of these monsters brutally scary. I absolutely love it. Great job Gnome, I look forward to whatever else you have in the works.
Looks like Dimensional Doors has something to do with it. I also had that mod installed the first time I tried the latest highlands, which resulted in out of memory issues. Not sure if its also related but that mod does add some funky stuff to world generation.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Strangely enough though, it was -only- seeming to occur with the newest Ocean Biome ID. Alas, I enjoy the newly added dungeons from Dimensional doors too much to disable it altogether. One in every few worlds generated would crash, but I haven't had a world gen crash since (Hopefully temporarily) disabling the Ocean. So definitely just an incompatibility, but not sure what's causing it between the two, or why.
Any plans on being able to extend the sub-biomes to other Mod-added Biomes? I seriously adore the idea. It makes for some astounding landscapes, no joke.
I'm almost positive that it's just some kind of mod incompatibility (Maybe the new Ocean Biome trying to generate in another dimension? *Shrugs*), but these are the two logs that had me disable the new Ocean Biome.
This one seems to be working. Just generated two or three worlds, and no crash on generations.
The only issue I'm having seems to be the lack of above-ground cities. Underground cities are spawning in abundance, but I've only seen one city above the ground. Mind you, I haven't messed with the configuration files extensively (yet), but is it set to that by default, or are my other mods getting in the way in terms of checking whether a city is able to be spawned in an area?
I'm rather confident that something is/was wrong with Forge, as it caused a massive amount of issues with the other mods I had installed, and was forced to revert to a much earlier version.
Downloaded 528 yesterday and everything seems to be working fine.
Seems like it would be a fun mod to play around with. Any plans on making it Forge-compatible, based on dropping a .zip into the /mods folder? Compatibility with other mods would more than likely increase, which means you'd probably get even more downloads, assuming that is your goal.
Other than that, I think it would be fantastic to add differing levels of the abilities, with Mastery being the very end level. It would allow you to balance it a bit easier, as well as give the mod some cool new properties.
I know this might sound nitpicky, but is there any way that you might be able to implement some way for MSC to make exceptions to certain monsters and ignore them entirely, so that the original spawn rates/triggers remain in play, Davidee?
As it stands, I feel like there's a gaping hole in customization in my current setup due to not using MSC, yet I'm forcing myself to refrain in order to keep a select few mods' original spawn rates in tact.
Mohawky, I apologize if you or anyone else has answered this before, but how exactly is MSC working? In particular, how is it going to have an affect on Dungeon Mobs(I see you're using that, and you seem knowledgeable with MSC. So I figure I may as well ask. ;p)? I'd like them to spawn in accordance with GnomeWorks' original intent; That is, only underground when the conditions are met for them to be spawning. However, if I use MSC, is that overriding their spawn requirements? As in, if they are set to "Disabled" (Which they originally are via MSC), will they -never- spawn in that particular biome, above or below ground, or will the original spawn requirements override MSC and have them spawn normally? If they don't spawn, does that mean I would have to set them to "Enabled" in a particular biome, and deal with them spawning above ground, against GnomeWorks' original design intent? When does MSC actually take effect and completely disable the creatures from spawning?
Yep, this has been my experience too. It also seems that if you set a min value as 4 - that mob will ALWAYS spawn over any others, no matter what the weight setting.
So essentially, we do not -ever- want minimum mob spawn value to be set to 4, unless we're attempting to override other mob spawns? Use 3 or 5 instead then?
Where are your mammoths and ostriches from, which mod? If its Project Zulu - I had a similar problem.
You may recall I had problems with Horses, beavers, foxes etc spawning in biomes they had not been enabled in? I know Daveydee made a fix in MSC, but I dont really know if it was his fix, or my different approach that worked which I had already implemented just before he came up with it.
What I found is that these mobs had been set to spawn in the original PZ config and even though I had disabled them in MSC the PZ config overrode it and spawned them anyway. It wasnt until I set every PZ creature I was having problems with to "False" in the PZ config, AND disabled them in MSC that they stopped spawning.
So, if MSC was doing anything, it wasnt that it was ignoring values set in the PZ config, it was ignoring its own settings in favour of the PZ config.
If I were to set the Zulu mobs to False, but have them spawn via MSC, would they spawn according to MSC's spawn rates? Or is it one way or the other, without me able to nitpick which mods I'd like to have?
I apologize for the questions. I've been attempting to get a server up and running with a few friends, and throwing more than one Creature mod in makes spawns rather... Insane. Thank you for the posts, however. They're quite informative.
Leaves which surface mazes consist of are harder to break than standard leaves and don't burn. Of course you can cheat, but so you can in vanilla jungle temples with traps. Also, surface mazes have minor loot. The main is in underground mazes and these are quite hard even if you break walls. Out of that, silverfish are hidden in the walls of underground mazes.
I partially agree with Epidemia here; I believe it was Twilight Forest that has something similar. They circumvented the 'cheating' issue by essentially making the walls "Thorny" hedges. If you attempted to break them, they were A) Much harder to break than normal, and Would damage you in doing so. They also (From what I vaguely recall) would damage you if you were to walk on top of them, but not brush up against the sides. Just a suggestion/different perspective.
That aside, I must say that I do love the mod. It fits in quite nicely next to a few of the other structure generation mods I have running.
Quick question, if you would; I assume it is SMP compatible, but I didn't find anything in the title or OP confirming that. Is it?
Quick question, and I'm not sure whether it's a bug on my end or intended;
Would it be at all possible to restrict the Median Earth blocks from spawning in Biomes other than the Median? They seem to emit a relatively strong light source, which makes travelling underground a tad less scary than I'd prefer.
I can live with it spawning in other Biomes due to my adoring of the mod, but I would love it if this was toggleable via the Configuration files.
Thank you for taking it into consideration!
Just a quick question, and forgive me if it was mentioned somewhere; In the most recent versions, have the 'A Meteor has fallen nearby!' textlines been removed when a Meteor does fall?
I've heard a few explosions in the distance at night, but have not received any confirmations of them being meteors, so I'm curious as to whether I'm actually hearing the Meteors or if it's just a random Creeper explosion.
Edited in; After finding a meteor crash site, I'm assuming that there isn't any indication of a meteor landing, (Which is wonderful, by the way. I'll just have to listen to make a detector) but would love confirmation!

Other than this, I haven't been having much trouble. Absolutely -love- the sub-biome idea. Brilliant.

Other than that, I think it would be fantastic to add differing levels of the abilities, with Mastery being the very end level. It would allow you to balance it a bit easier, as well as give the mod some cool new properties.

As it stands, I feel like there's a gaping hole in customization in my current setup due to not using MSC, yet I'm forcing myself to refrain in order to keep a select few mods' original spawn rates in tact.
0
So essentially, we do not -ever- want minimum mob spawn value to be set to 4, unless we're attempting to override other mob spawns? Use 3 or 5 instead then?
If I were to set the Zulu mobs to False, but have them spawn via MSC, would they spawn according to MSC's spawn rates? Or is it one way or the other, without me able to nitpick which mods I'd like to have?
I apologize for the questions. I've been attempting to get a server up and running with a few friends, and throwing more than one Creature mod in makes spawns rather... Insane. Thank you for the posts, however. They're quite informative.

I partially agree with Epidemia here; I believe it was Twilight Forest that has something similar. They circumvented the 'cheating' issue by essentially making the walls "Thorny" hedges. If you attempted to break them, they were A) Much harder to break than normal, and
That aside, I must say that I do love the mod. It fits in quite nicely next to a few of the other structure generation mods I have running.
Quick question, if you would; I assume it is SMP compatible, but I didn't find anything in the title or OP confirming that. Is it?

Would it be at all possible to restrict the Median Earth blocks from spawning in Biomes other than the Median? They seem to emit a relatively strong light source, which makes travelling underground a tad less scary than I'd prefer.
I can live with it spawning in other Biomes due to my adoring of the mod, but I would love it if this was toggleable via the Configuration files.
Thank you for taking it into consideration!
