    posted a message on Adding a new variable to EnumToolMaterial
    So I am adding in new weapons such as swords that poison enemies. I did this by copying the ItemSword.java file and editing it. I want to be able to nasality add in multiple versions of the poison sword, such as from different materials, and want the strength of the poison to be effected by the material.

    In ItemPoisonSword.java, I have this for the poison effect:

    In EnumToolMaterial.java (and I know there is a way to do this without editing original files, but I'm not worried about that yet), this is what I did:

    My question is, will that work? I don't have textures yet, and there's code I have unfinished, so I can't test it ATM, but I would appreciate some input on if I did that right.

    I read somewhere that the 1 in "int i = 0; i < 1; i++" is how rare it is, and higher means less rare
    Also that "int randPosY = random.nextInt(64)" determines what height it generates at
    and the 10 in "new WorldGenMinable(exampleBlock.blockID, 10)" is how many can spawn in a vein.

    Is anyone able to confirm that? or correct it?

    And does "int randPosZ = chunkZ + randomGenerator.nextInt(16);" and "int randPosX = chunkX + randomGenerator.nextInt(16);" change anything?

    It does exist, I did find it, it was just really rare

    One of you said higher i<1 is more rare, the other said i<1 is how many spawn together, so IDK which it is >.<

    I made a custom ore and it generates fine, but it was really hard to find. What numbers do I change to increase how common it is, the size of the vein, etc.?

    Why did you have 6a total of 64 pistons, full diamond armor, a bunch of random valuables, and your silk touch pick? What could you possibly be doing with all of that?

    In the RenderPlayer file, "me" should probably be "moonr" and "NETHER" shoudl probably be "nether", but I might be wrong.
    And I think the order matters, but I don't remember for sure.

    When I had this problem, it was due to something in my RenderPlayer file so the other stuff shouldn't matter

    Yeah I came to the same problem. I don't know how to fix it, but you can get around it by editing the original EnumArmorMaterial.java file. I know you don't want to do this so as to provide maximum compatibility but it is the only way I could figure out how to make my armor work. Hope I helped (and that you see this)
