Love the texturepack! I used to use Eldpack and was wondering what had happened to it. This pack and Painterly tbh.
Really solid work! Helps liven up my friend's server.
Unrelated, but is this recent?
I could have sworn not that long ago it would crash with even more vague summaries and just an exit code.
Well if you're not going to post the crash log at least, we can only speculate to the solution.
I would go to the official Java Website and install the JRE it'll download for you.
Chances are just like the website, the JRE it will give you probably hasn't been updated in a long time so it should be Java 8, which I believe you need.
I've never personally ran into a Java Runtime Configuration error before.
Seeing as this is from the default launcher and Minecraft tends to come with Java now, perhaps you could try from a clean install?
Just backup your .minecraft folder and then delete it before starting minecraft up again and see if the error persists.
Edit: I looked into the issue some and it would seem that newer versions of Minecraft use Java 9+ while older versions such as the one you're using need Java 8.
So does this have an official update release for a more recent version of Minecraft or is it mostly relying on community updates right now?
I really enjoyed this pack back when I used it, but I haven't seen an update in ages.
What interests you in our server?: I love vanilla servers in general.
What do you have to offer if accepted?: I like to make towns and the like when I gather the materials. Whether I'm good or not depends on the types of building though, I'm afraid.
Minecraft Username: Sunku
Time zone: CDT
What type of player are you? I like to survive solo for a while and then make towns when I have the materials. Mostly like to keep to myself though.
Were you referred to our server? Nope
What are some of your hobbies? Programming, Writing, Drawing, Gaming
2012 post about a launcher letting someone play Minecraft that doesn't own it.
Gonna go ahead and spoil the fun for you and let you know it might stay a dead link.
That's unfortunate. I went ahead and played it on 1.8.9 and just wanna let you know, fantastic job!
Does this work in the latest versions of Minecraft? Like 1.12 - 1.13
I'm trying to host a Minecraft server for a group of friends, but I wanted a dedicated one that we can go onto whenever without having to leave a computer of our own on. The idea for the server is to be capable of hosting a medium group of friends+ with capabilities of mods while providing quality performance and user interface that is easy, but feature accessible. I've seen and heard of a few of them, but honestly I wanted to get a thread that could possibly be updated every so often with new suggestions!
Not usually one to reply in place of other people, but there are currently (and probably indefinitely) only two MC versions this supports, both listed in main post:
I hope that answers at least half of your question.
So, I feel like this is the best place to post this as I'm not actually trying to create a mod, simply talk about the idea of one (err, a few). But I really wanna touch on one particular idea that I like a lot, one I got when I was trying to find a resource pack like the mod idea.
Now, I understand that making a mod can be tedious and depending on the vision damn near impossible, but I just can't believe there is no Dark Souls mod yet, ya know? Especially with the meme of everything being Dark Souls even if it isn't even remotely difficult. We'll move on to discuss the ideas of what the mod would include, but first another mod idea that plays into the first a bit.
An adventure overhaul or mod of sorts would be fantastic for a mod like this, especially if you wanted to create a "Dark Souls game in Minecraft" TM
Some of the features I would imagine would be possible is that maybe while in the creative phase of it, you can create NPCs without having to use some of minecrafts more... unappealing systems for communication. (chat)
I'm gonna list a few ideas I have for each mod in a less chaotic way and maybe you guys can help elaborate or explain why its a bad idea(?)
Now I know my ideas are loosely put together, but I only had a few of these written and elaborated on paper. So let us discuss.
I'm gonna definitely work on a heavy mod when Forge updates and I was hoping that my Dark Souls idea wouldn't be rejected too hardly.
Hard cope from you guys and them lmao
I'll just make a mod/plugin that disables that hoopla
Community and Official things should always be separate. You can use corporate arguments all you want to cope, but that doesn't stop that this will probably kill Minecraft off more than it already is. Last revival was strong sure, but keep going this direction they'll see.
Looking through those agreements as well, you're straight up lying Kiori. None of the violations lead to private servers being barred, especially considering a lot of the games these are applied to tend to not have private servers via console.
Not surprised when it seems like there's only like 3 phones that can support AR games (exaggeration).
That being said I see no reason as to why they're done with it so early. Is it COVID? Did they just not meet a microtransaction requirement?
This upsets me greatly for many reasons. I'd imagine you guys have already thought over other means of keeping the site up (ads/donations/etc).
I've used this site on and off, but this was always the more reliable and consistent site. Even the main curseforge site gives off sketchy "If I click anything my computer will die" vibes. Sucks this is what we have to go to
