posted a message on [daDonn's Adventures] My LP of Minecraft Custom Maps!
This will be the thread I post my video uploads in, run-throughs of Adventure / Puzzle maps that you guys create!

If you have any suggestions for maps I should play, let me know by posting in this thread or PM me if you'd prefer it be private. Just expect me to cheat outrageously if I get frustrated with it ;) .

Subscribe to my channel if you like the commentary, or at the very least "like" the video in question.

    MAPS:

Here's another belated request fulfillment, this time by "Reekot4" and entitled "Criminal Escape":

Taking a short break from the Multiplex - here's a nicely thematic puzzle / adventure map with a pretty good story named "The King of Hrothgaria", created and requested by "Haevo".

Here's the first episode of what will likely be many, of Jigarbov's "Adventure Multiplex", an adventure map composed of 80+ 'maplets' entered into a competition held by Jig.

Here's another playthrough with Placlu, a parkour map named "Parkour Thief", created by "Cheesefryc00k".

And here's another map played through with RSmalec, entitled "Diamond & Gold", and created by "SpinGamer".

Here's a slightly different map playthrough to add to my list; filmed this time from the perspective of "RSmalec", who you may know for his hundreds of Minecraft custom map reviews! The map is entitled "Invasion and Quarantine", and was created by "blaze1997".

Not sure how I managed it, but I forgot to post that I had played "wcaza13's" "Quest for Galatine" adventure map, upon his request. Regardless, here it is, though slightly belated :P .

Here's an interesting take on the concept of an adventure map, created by "Zombitches", named "Alone".

Here's the second of the two special LPs I performed with Placlu - a much better puzzle map named "The Dream", created by "Stijnnl". I was a tad tired in this video :P .

Here's the first of two multiplayer specials I played with Placlu, a partner on YouTube, entitled "Evolution" - though it was named "Arabuscapecraft" when we played it. Created by "Arabus".

Here's an epic fantasy map playthrough of "The Ruins of Kegrin", created by "JesusNails".

Here's "The Wizard's Demise", the second map created by "JesusNails" - the same designer who made "The Magician's Trial" a previous playthrough of mine.

Here's a run-through of "Eldmorang Alpha" - an Eronev-esque adventure map created by "planetfall666", which was actually pretty fun.

Here's my playthrough of Grinchmas! And adventure map by "RSmalec", aka "Albarel":

Here's "The Inversion", a parkour / puzzle map by "klayveR" and "FiiirsT"

Here's a fairly quick parkour / puzzle map named "Happy Ending", created by "Samybg" and a few friends.

Here's a quirky little map created by a subscriber of mine, "R3tailer", named "Escape the Room".

Before I've even posted all of my previous map playthrough - here's the next map I played, named "The Search for Queen Bee", created by a consortium headed by "Balor". I played this one with a friend, Fishy!

This map is a truly epic build - and has a novel means of delivering the story! The map is entitled "Kingdom of the Sky", created by "BlameTheController".

Here's a highly creative sci-fi adventure called the "Mars Mission", created by "rsmalec" aka "Albarel".

Here's a walkthrough of what I can really only call a "demonstration" map, named the "Waterpark" and created by "NSA_Montecore":

Here's a pretty cool adventure map by "Openf1rE", named "The Eye":

As promised, here's "Elemental!", by "Golgot100". It has some really interesting outside-the-box -solve-able puzzles!

Here's the "Eronev Mansion Adventure" - a completely EPIC map by "Jigarbov"!

Here's "HammerSide", a pretty sweet map by "Razack541", with a pretty sweet story.

I'm an "epic failure" in "The Lie", by "Cob50nm".

Here's "The Magician's Trial" by "JesusNails".

    Here's a map called "Decay", by "Nater9".

Here's a previous map I recorded, title-less but known as "Renderxing's Piston Custom Map", made by none-other than "Renderxing" himself :P .

Here's a map by "Jigarbov", a YouTube partner, which has no thread of it's own on these forums known as ""; which is more of a tech-demo of the capabilities of piston-based puzzles than a fully-fledged map itself. Still, a fun little play-through.

Finally, we have the first custom map I ever played let alone recorded, named "The Fire Temple" and made by "SWEETNESS_IB" from the Yogscast's forums. I searched for an equivalent thread on these forums, but came back lacking.

All credits for respective maps go to the respective map creators, of course - and hopefully I don't ruin them too badly :P .

    3. Use the included texture pack
    4. Set Render Distance to "Normal"

    INSTRUCTIONS
Single Player: Copy the world to your maps folder as per normal. There are numerous tutorials available as to how to find this, so I shan?t add another here.
Multi-Player: The map should load into a vanilla Minecraft server without any issues, the spawn point co-ords are "-397, 75, -9" If you are lost there is a tree at that location, look for a hole at the top. There are signs leading you to the regular spawn point. NOTE FOR BUKKIT USERS:- This map makes extensive use of The Nether, so please ensure you load The Nether map files correctly. I am unfamiliar with Bukkit, so please do not ask for assistance with this.

    AUDIO INSTRUCTIONS
If you wish to use the downloadable audio files (which are far easier to include with YouTube recordings, for eg), ensure you have downloaded the ?audio.zip? file available on the forum thread.
If you wish to avoid downloading the files separately and would prefer to stream the audio from YouTube, here is the link for Scene 01:
Otherwise, you may use the included text-based note files to experience the story. You?ll be missing out... :P .

posted a message on [Reviews] Brutal, but fair reviews (Over 15 maps reviewed!)
    Quote from Frossa

I know what you mean, but I've been waiting in line for several months now. One thing I think he really should do however, is to at least tell us whether he will continuing reviewing, or if he dropped it. It has pretty much stood still for a while now. :unsure.gif:

Well the last time he logged in was on January 3 according to his profile, so I'd suspect he probably won't see your post anyway :wink.gif:.

At least not for quite some time.

posted a message on [ADV][CONVENIENCE] Lord of Bloodycross - OPEN BETA v0.9.3
Finally, the adventure map that I have been working on for the past six months or so is nearing completion - I would just like some people to test it out in order to iron out any initial bugs and glitches that may surface before releasing the map as a finished product.

With this in mind PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE MAY BE BUGS! Whilst I have spent countless hours testing and re-testing various segments of the map, and have had a few friends (IRL and online) run through the map several times - there are no doubt specific configurations of play and mod combinations that may cause issues.

Please also note that a couple of features have also not yet been implemented - the audio notes for example, I have yet to record. The scoring system hasn't been included, and a couple of difficulty balancing mechanisms (the pacing of gear / HP Pots, etc) still need to be tweaked.

Any suggestions would be helpful, but try not to be overly critical if a bug is uncovered.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE CREDITED AS A BETA TESTER, PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR FEEDBACK BY JANUARY 15!!
(Yes, I have extended this date. It was originally set for Jan 1, but there have been a LOT of changes performed to the map since this date :tongue.gif:).

Respond to the email within the zipped readme.txt file.

Enough rambling, here are the previews:

    Here's the download:

    EDIT~ The beta link has been removed - here's a link to the full-and-complete map's thread! http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/985662-adv-convenience-lord-of-bloodycross/

All credit to "bonemouse" for the use (with permission) of his "Isabella" texture pack, which I have slightly modified to suit the map better.
