I notice Fangride has a name reserved for reviewing my map, "Convenience - Lord of Bloodycross" - I'm hoping the review hasn't started yet, as I've just released a fairly sizeable patch for the game, which should correct a few issues that some players were experiencing.
It'd be best were it that version that was reviewed, I mean :P.
Review Summary:
A tragic tale in 3 acts (this map includes all 3 installations). The story is classic fantasy with a powerful antagonist. Redstone and build special effects are top notch. Colored signs, texture pack, audio narration all showcase daDonn's polishas a map maker. The map even features a moral choice with different endings.
I'll update the primary post with your review!
And good news everyone, I've just uploaded the v1.1 patch, which should correct all the issues experienced that I have so far witnessed, as well as tweaking the difficulty in various places!
Here's the complete list of changes:
+Added mob barriers to altars in the lava & water temples
+Added redstone mechanics to make re-entry into the spider tunnel more obvious
+Added indicative sign for subsequent players in multiplayer by the minecart track fall
+Added indicative signs for the choice in the final section
+Added further hints to seek the credits at the ends
+Added further potion options in Dockston
+Added brewing equipment to the dungeon save room
-Removed some spider spawners from the spider cave
-Removed some mob spawning locations near save room by the dungeons.
*Changed status of "automatic" lights before the spider tunnel to on to avoid mob spawns.
*Fixed rear right tower under-crenelations in the first castle
*Fixed minecart entry in good ending
*Corrected a bug that could allow entry to the nether from the fire temple
*Adjusted some of the invisible barriers
*Corrected all the double-door redstone, broken with Minecraft v1.2
*Fortified creeper cell in dungeons
*Corrected missing rule number
*Changed the Scene 17 map to not list the use of the bucket as "only once"
A really fun and Epic map, I really enjoyed and found all the features very well done.
I found: 47 Slimeballs
I have added your score!
By the way people, I have nearly finished version 1.1 of the map, which makes a few parts slightly less frustrating, fixes a few Minecraft 1.2 bugs and corrects an issue with the semi-final encounter. Watch this space ;).
finally got past that part , the doors weren't opening . I took the minecart and now I'm in the nether-like area . what exactly is the " path to the underbelly of the castle " ?
Below the part where the minecarts fall you should see a faint path made up of soulsand.
I feel honoured that you made your first two posts in my thread, by the way :P.
Adf.ly is having an issue atm with mediafire links - they're reporting that it should be shortly resolved. I'd encourage you not to download the current map though - I'm working on a patch as I type this now that v1.2 of Minecraft has finally been released which further refines some of the balancing, and corrects a few minor issues that have shown up.
The secondary download links below the adf.ly ones link directly to the mediafire downloads, though.
Here's the first episode of what will likely be many, of Jigarbov's "Adventure Multiplex", an adventure map composed of 80+ 'maplets' entered into a competition held by Jig.

I'll probably play all the maps requested - when I get around to them.
Or not.
Or maybe I'll play other maps that catch my eye.
I'm random like that.
I'm currently playing through quite a massive map, though I may have some smaller maps shown part way through it.
