posted a message on Minema 3.2 - The smooth movie recorder
I've been using this mod for a while and it works great. But now all of a sudden I have lost the ability to record sound. Once I stop recording a video, I will hear the sounds processing, wait for them to finish processing, and will see a .wav file written alongside the video .mp4, but when I open the .wav file, it's silent even with the volume up, and the .mp4 is just silent film :(.

The only reason I could think to why this is happening is that the pulses going to the pistons are one tick pulses. If that's not the case it must be a bug.

This. You could fix this by increasing the delay of the repeaters behind the display to 2 ticks.

You can swap out the repeater near the input with dust, and the upward-facing piston can be substituted with a normal piston pushing a sand/gravel block:

(Imgur wouldn't upload so this will have to do for now)

Yes, there is: MCEdit. And yes, it's compatible with 1.3.1. I managed to generate a flat world and replace the topmost terrain of it to sandstone just fine.

@The top picture: If you already have a 1 tick input, you can get rid of that sand as well. A 1 tick pulse will make a piston leave the block behind, so all you need is to attach a sticky piston to that.
So effectively that sand is useless in all 3 of those pictures.
In other words, you can just do this:

Oh wow, completely forgot about that :P . Thanks for pointing it out.

Preview OptiFine HD A2 Ultra (Smooth + Multi-Core + AA) for Minecraft 1.3. 1 has memory leak issues after an hour or so of gameplay. Horrendous lag. My brother has the same problem with this mod. I have the multicore option on; my brother does as well. I have never had an issue with this mod, but then again, this is a preview version.

Yep... I lag like hell after a while too. This doesn't happen in 1.2.5 or vanilla 1.3.1 and its not an issue with other mods.

Messing around with the settings doesn't seem to help either.

    Laptop specs if you're curious:
    Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo @ 2.26GHz
    4GB dual-channel DDR2 RAM
    512MB AMD Mobility Radeon 3650, 1440x900 @ 60Hz

    wha?

A TFF or T-flip-flop, is a memory latch that acts as a toggle. It's commonly used to make a button behave like a lever.

Just recently, I was browsing through the circuit designs sticky, and came upon a very compact rising-edge pulse limiter design. The original design in the thread used a sticky piston, but I thought that it could be made even more resource-friendly by swapping out the sticky piston with a normal piston, and the block above for a sand or gravel block.

I then thought of attempting to create another compact TFF design, and this is what I came up with:

The topmost design will only work with a one-tick pulse. So if your input is already a one-tick pulse, you can use that design. If not, I also came up with a longer design by including that compact pulse limiter I mentioned.

Just to clarify, the piston behind the green wool block is sticky. Also, the repeater and redstone dust cannot be swapped around.

Here is my old TFF design for comparison. It's twice as high in height, but quite fast.

I'm getting a lot of huge lag spikes with the A2 preview in 1.3.1. I wasn't having this in 1.2.5, and I'm not having this problem in vanilla 1.3.1. I really need that FPS graph back just to show how bad it is. :(

There is something definately wrong with vsync. a while back, vsync started limiting my framerate at 30 fps rather than 60. Then a little while later, it returned to 60. Just recently it dropped to 30 again. It has to be a probme with OptiFine because vsync in other games still limits at 60 fps. I'm using recent graphics drivers (AMD Catalyst 12.3), latest LWJGL and OptiFine S_C2.

I can't get the sound patch to work. I installed the class in the correct place (com/mojang/minecraft/c.class), and deleted META-INF. After doing that, Classic no longer loads?

Here is the lightmap I'm using in your packs. It has no flickering issues, but the only problem is that block lighting is very slightly noticable in full sunlight if you look carefully. I can't seem to fix it despite making over 100 edits to it. :(

    Ingame preview:

    The lightmap itself:

Save the image as "lightmap0.png" and create a folder named "environment" in the texture pack archive (if the folder doesn't exist yet), then place the saved image in that folder.

You'll also need MCPatcher or OptiFine installed for custom colours to function.

Sometimes this happens when switching to texture packs with custom lighting:

And the only way to (temporarily) fix the problem is to restart Minecraft, though it usually happens again later.

    It's supposed to look like:

Something overrides EntityZombie class. It should work if you'll fix this conflict.

The mods that I only have installed right now are the latest versions of ModLoader, ModLoaderMP, and OldDays. And it's still crashing even when I used a clean .jar for reinstalling.
